Utility Buffs (BaBS)
  • Utility Buffs (BaBS V3.2.9)

    Back to Main Guide

    1. Offensive Buffs
    2. Defensive Buffs
    3. Ability Buffs
    4. Equipment Buffs
    5. Utility Buffs
    6. Economy and Exp Buffs
    7. Miscellaneous Buffs

    For Others Buffs, head back to the Main Guide Page.

    Utility Buffs give you a way to increase your own or your team's survival with a small boost in your chances. This is usually done to give you the upper hand against the infected and/or to make it easier to recuperate and recover if something does go wrong.

    Currently, there are 25 Utility Buffs.

    * Indicates that there needs to be an event currently active in order to be able to get the Buff from that event.
    + Indicates that the Buff has a Buff Enhancement that can be applied to it.

    For Event Buffs, the Buff/Event Requirement highlighted in green is the recommended way to go about obtaining the buff.

    1. Adrenaline Run+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $3,600 Cash
    Required Level: 35

    Description:
    Gives you infinite Adrenaline effect while either a Tank is alive or you are in water, enabling you to move faster.
    <Tank aspect disabled in Survival gamemode>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP, The Adrenaline Run Buff can be helpful as a lower level player looking to gain more survivability while running away from Tanks or when doing Dormant Tanks to make kiting them easier. The benefits that adrenaline itself can provide make it quite useful in any tank focused buff set.
    • In Scenario, you're recommended to bring this buff to the Awakening Scenario as primarily the Awakened Brutal Tank is fought in water inside the pools. There are also some cases where you may need to go over to the beach+water area to the west to fight some tier 3 tanks, where you'd want faster move speed to move around better.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    While a tank is alive/you are in water, gain infinite Adrenaline effect.
    <Tank aspect disabled in Survival gamemode>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Stress Induced Adrenaline: In survival, tank spawns give 20 seconds of Adrenaline. While Adrenaline is active, gain +10% faster reload and deploy speed.
    2. Death Bait+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $315 Cash
    Required Level: 9

    Description:
    When you die, all common infected will stay eating your body, giving your teammates a chance to escape.
    <Body is not consumed>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • As a Controller/Guard player, if for some reason you find yourself dying a bit too often on some Scenarios where you're out there trying to stop the infected from coming through, you could consider using the Death Bait Buff. This is only best done on the Helms Deep Scenario and/or if you have another guard player helping you out in the same area where you're both guarding from the infected.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On death, aggro nearby CI to your dead body for sometime.
    <Body is not consumed>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Special Bait: Special Infected in 300 units will be attracted to your body causing them to be passive for 5 seconds.
      <✖ VS>
    3. Special First Aid+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $8,100 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 3 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Instantly cures most bad status effects (poison, curse, paralyze, etc) of you and any nearby teammates upon using a first aid kit. After using a first aid kit, you will also block the next status effect that is inflicted on you.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • With the Dormant Brutal Tank fight, you'll want the Special First Aid Buff equipped in order to block the Fear status given with each tank punch. Do keep in mind that you'll need to keep using a first aid kit after getting hit if you do not want to get feared on the next hit afterwards.
    • During some Scenarios, given the Prison/Cleanse Scenarios, being able to heal some bad statuses off can help some survivors out perform their tasks easier without being debilitated by whatever bad status they had before. Do only use a first aid kit with the Special First Aid Buff in these cases where you do feel that your healing will be of help.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On first aid kit use, cures most bad statuses off you and nearby survivors. You also become immune to next bad status inflicted.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Special Defibrillator: Defibrillators also activate Special First Aid.
    4. High Reputation

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $13,770 Cash
    Required Level: 110

    Description:

    Increases reputation gain rate and reduces reputation loss rate by 30%. Additionally, the first major reputation gain and first major reputation loss per round will be doubled and nullified respectively.
    <Major reputation gain/loss being larger than +/- 3>
    <Does NOT nullify actions that directly kill a teammate>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The High Reputation Buff should only ever be equipped in COOP servers if your reputation needs a serious boost, especially if your reputation is in negative values. Once you're finished with your good actions performed, be sure to replace this buff for another buff that you were using before.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Gives +/- 30% increased/reduced reputation gain/loss rate. First major rep gain/loss per round is doubled/nullified respectively.
    <Major reputation gain/loss being larger than +/- 3>
    <Does NOT nullify actions that directly kill a teammate>
    5. Witch Hunter

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $18,765 Cash
    Required Level: 175

    Description:
    You deal 20% more damage to witches, and take 25% less from them. Lowers the duration of any status effects given from Witches by 30%.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In VS, the Witch Hunter Buff should be used if you want more survivability against the witches, especially while incapacitated in situations where multiple infected are attacking at once. Be sure to combine this with the |E| Flaming Sword Buff to make killing witches more easier to do overall.
    • In COOP, If you're doing a quest that is focused around killing witches and/or obtaining materials from them, be sure to use the Witch Hunter Buff as that'll let you get the quest done more easily with witches being easier to kill. Be sure to also combine this buff with the |E| Fatal Guard Buff if you happen to have the |+| Witch Guard Buff Enhancement, as you'll be able to survive better against witches on Expert difficulty.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Gives +20% more damage dealt, -25% reduced damage taken and -30% lower status duration against witches.
    6. |Q| Artisan+

    Quest Requirements:
    • You can get the |Q| Artisan Buff as a quest reward from the supply boxes after completing the Fake tranquillity broken Quest (Level 62) within David's Questline.
    Description:
    Multiplies by 3 the total amount of FR-Pills obtained after a successful craft.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The |Q| Artisan Buff should only be used if you ever plan on crafting FR-Pills. It's pretty much a meme buff outside of it :P

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Your amount of pills successfully crafted is multiplied by 3. This makes 1,2,3,4,5 FR-Pills crafted become 3,6,9,12,15 FR-Pills crafted instead.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Hasty Crafter: Gives -50% reduced delay between crafting FR-Pills but doubles the cost required to craft.
    7. |E| Knife Recycle+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $2.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=47

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 100 Mint Candies from the Mint Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Obtain it from the Bitter Chocolate Box for 15 Cupid Tokens, letting you get the buff at random from the list of buffs you don't yet have.
    • Get it for 20 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.
    Description:
    Knives used to release from smokers will not be consumed.
    <Requires at least one Knife remaining to function>
    <Works only once in VS>
    <Knives used this way do not trigger Electric Knife>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For the |E| Knife Recycle Buff, in COOP/Scenario, you should consider using it if you're a Guard/Controller player. It's an excellent way to stop the smokers from annoying you with their tongue pins and lets you get the drop on them or proceed to do whatever task you needed to do without worrying about needing to use a Knife. You're recommended to get the |E| |+| Eco Knife Buff Enhancement as well, which is good for when you really need to use a knife quickly against a Hunter/Charger/Jockey in desperate situations.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    You can keep knives used against smokers.
    <Requires at least one Knife remaining to function>
    <Works only once in VS>
    <Knives used this way do not trigger Electric Knife>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Eco Knife: Your first knife usage against Hunters, Chargers and Jockeys each will not consume the knife.
      <✖ VS, Knifes used this way do not trigger Electric knife>
    8. |E| Bullet Scavenger+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $2.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=41

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 50 Fruity Candies from the Fruity Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Obtain it from the Sweet Chocolate Box for 15 Cupid Tokens, letting you get the buff at random from the list of buffs you don't yet have.
    • Get it for 10 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 event.

    Description:
    Gives you 1% missing ammo for your primary weapon each second you are running, with a 10% chance to instead give 1% total reserve ammo.
    <If gain is less than 1, value is tallied until 1 is given>
    <No effect if incapacitated>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For the average Guard/Controller player, 1 can consider using |E| Bullet Scavenger Buff if there's a lack of ammo piles near where they are or the nearest ammo pile requires them to go a fair distance away to get more ammo. If you already do have a good way to get more ammo though, consider replacing this with the Dummy Rounds Buff instead.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Gives +1% missing ammo (with a 10% chance to give 1% total reserve ammo instead) to your primary weapon each second while running.
    <If gain is less than 1, value is tallied until 1 is given>
    <No effect if incapacitated>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Bullet Hunter: Any bullet/blast/melee kills on Special Infected also activate the buff effects of Bullet Scavenger.
    9. Healing Shocks+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $27,450 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 100 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 201

    Description:
    With a defib equipped (doesn't have to be held), each second heal 3 HP + the number of standing allies in 400 units, up to 10 HP. Each time you successfully use a defib, the heal is increased by another 1 HP, up to 20 times. Nearby allies w/o Healing Shocks heal 33% of the amount healed.
    <Can't heal while poisoned/incapacitated>
    <Heals up to 75% Max HP>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario, the Healing Shocks Buff can be good if you're looking to give a small boost of healing to some survivors while waiting to defib other dead survivors. If you're not focusing on using Defibs however, best to replace this buff for something else.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    With a defib equipped (doesn't have to be held), heal 3 HP HP/s + number of nearby survivors in 400 units, up to +10 HP/s. Using a defib increases max heal by +1 HP, up to 20 times.
    <Can't heal while poisoned/incapacitated>
    <Heals up to 75% Max HP>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Lingering Shocks: After using a defib, the effects will persist around you for 15 seconds.
      <Won't be interrupted and doesn't require a defib>
    10. Prescription Medication+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $11,700 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 95

    Description:
    Allows you to buy Pills or Adrenaline for free once per round in the !buy menu. 40% of the temporary health gained from using Pills/Adrenaline is now given as bonus permanent health.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In VS, being able to buy an adrenaline shot for free for the Adrenaline Area Booster Buff at the start of the round is quite helpful for getting ahead of the infected in the beginning areas of the map. It can also be helpful where buying that pain pills/adrenaline shot for reviving or first aid kit for a necessary heal might just help you to survive for longer. Consider using the Prescription Medication Buff if you want more HP back from using pain pills/adrenaline shots.
    • In Dormant Tank fights, where you may not own many event buffs/versus buffs, you can consider using the Prescription Medication Buff where you do end up fighting the tank while short on bounty. In other cases where you have higher bounty however, you should swap the buff out for something else more useful.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Allows buying Pills/Adrenaline for free once per round in the !buy menu. 40% of temporary HP gained from using Pills/Adrenaline is now given as bonus HP.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Doctor's Orders: You can also instead buy a first aid kit for half the price.
    11. Field Medic+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $3,150 Cash
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Each 50 seconds you will randomly generate an adrenaline shot or pain pills to pass to survivors. You will not be able to consume these items yourself. Picking up adrenaline or pain pills will not drop the generated item and it will disappear instead. You also cannot manually drop pain pills or adrenaline.
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • As a Debuffer, the Field Medic Buff is a must have buff to have equipped at all times, regardless of your role. Simply put, it'll save you bounty on having to spend it on Pain Pills/Adrenaline Shots when you can instead generate either one for debuff inflicting on SI/Tanks. In this case, you can also consider it's buff enhancement for when you don't want the rng in what health item is given to you.
    • As a Support, the Field Medic Buff is quite useful to have equipped as it means you can save your bounty for defibs as necessary. Just note that if you don't get your adrenaline shot, it might be best to pass along any pills that you get to another survivor in need of a health boost. Only do consider buying an adrenaline shot using bounty if 1 is desperately needed and you aren't expecting to get 1 for sometime.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Each 50 seconds, randomly generate an adrenaline shot/pain pills to pass to survivors. You cannot consume them. Picking up adrenaline/pain pills will not drop the generated item and it will disappear instead. You cannot manually drop adrenaline or pain pills.
    <✖ VS>
    12. |V| War wounds

    Buff Requirements:
    Honor Points: 120 Honor Points

    Description:
    Upon being downed by the infected gain (100 + 3 per level above 200) Max HP (up to 200) for the round. You must be standing for 30 seconds to gain again. After activating once, if you avoid being downed for 60 seconds, the bonus gained on next down is doubled. You also gain permanent health equal to this upon being revived.
    <Hanging revives don't count>
    <Overall Max HP gain: 2,000>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenarios where the Tenacity Buff is a no go or your level isn't high enough, the |V| War Wounds Buff is a great alternative to use. If you can avoid becoming incapacitated often, you'll be able to gain more max HP and in return have more survivability chances against the infected. For infected that deal very high punch damage based on your current/max HP % though, it might be best not to use any max HP increasing buffs.
    • In COOP/Scenario, If you want to be able to become incapacitated to provide bounty for your team but also still want a max HP boost, consider the |V| War Wounds Buff. You can also consider swapping to this buff from Tenacity Buff if say you're affected by too many SICKNESS stacks from a Pestilent/Dormant Repugnant Tank and don't want to become killed quickly from the infected.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On down by the infected, gain (100 + 3 per level above 200) Max HP (up to 200) for the round. After activating, You need to be standing for 30s to gain again, and if after 60s, no down, gain double bonus on next down. You also gain HP equal to this when revived.
    <Hanging revives don't count>
    <Overall Max HP gain: 2,000>
    <✖ VS>
    <top>
    13. |E| Cleansing Pills*+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $5.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=69

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 125 Mint Candies from the Mint Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2018 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Get it for 25 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.

    Description:
    Consuming Pain Pills will remove most bad status effects and grants status effect immunity for 15 seconds.
    <45 second cooldown for immunity>
    <Press RELOAD with pills in hand to get cooldown time>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenarios like Cleanse and Awakening, where the main tank can inflict statuses that make it hard to fight against them, you can consider using the |E| Cleansing Pills Buff. You're recommended to get the |+| Cleansing Aura Buff Enhancement as well if you want to be able to clear nearby survivors of the blind/fear statuses respectively. This'll help them to fight the tank better. Combine this buff with the |E| Auto-Medical Buff so you don't have to wait to use your pills when its needed.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Consuming Pain Pills removes most bad statuses and gives status effect immunity for 15s.
    <45 second cooldown for immunity>
    <Press RELOAD with pills in hand to get cooldown time>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Cleansing Aura: When Cleansing Pills is activated, clear any allies and give them immunity for 8 seconds (200 range).
    14. |E| Dopamine-Infused Meds*+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $5.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=71

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 125 Caramel Candies from the Caramel Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Get it for 25 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.
    Description:
    Using Pain Pills or Adrenaline when below 50% health will heal you for an additional 15% of your missing health as permanent health.
    <60 second cooldown>
    <Press RELOAD with meds in hand to get cooldown time>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • With the |E| Dopamine-Infused Meds Buff, if you think you need more healing outside of first aid kits while guarding as a Guard/Controller player, this buff might just be able to help. The |E| |+| Dopamine Guard Buff Enhancement is worth crafting if the buff is to be used this way as it could help prevent the infected from quickly killing you and give you time to kill them or heal yourself more. Combine this with the |E| Auto-Medical Buff so you won't have to wait to decide when you use pills for the buff effect.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Using Pain Pills/Adrenaline Shot below 50% HP heals you for an additional +15% missing HP as permanent HP.
    <60 second cooldown>
    <Press RELOAD with meds in hand to get cooldown time>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Dopamine Guard: When activated, gain +80% damage resistance for 5 seconds. Damage resistance includes true damage but decays over time.
    • |E| Dopamine Wish: When activated, gain a random bonus effect at 50% duration.
    15. |E| Duelist*

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $5.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=75

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 150 Caramel Candies from the Caramel Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2018, 2019 and 2021 events. Get it for 30 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.

    Description:
    With a melee weapon in hand, Special Infected that you are facing wont be able to trap you and you gain 25% knockback resistance against Tanks you are facing.
    <Must be in 750 range against Smokers>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • When doing Guard/Controller work on a map, if you're guarding against the infected at close range, the |E| Duelist Buff can be equipped to help with stopping pins from any SI that you're facing. Against Tanks, the buff should only be used if there'll be problems in getting to melee the tank using a melee based buff set. In the latter case though you may want to swap this buff out for a better melee buff.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    While facing SI with any melee weapon in hand, they cannot trap you and you gain 25% knockback resistance VS tanks you're facing.
    <Must be in 750 range against Smokers>
    <✖ VS>
    16. Sideloader+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $76,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 225 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 175

    Description:
    Getting kills with your secondary weapon has a chance to passively load 8% of your primary weapon's magazine from your reserve ammo.
    - Killing Common Infected: 20%
    - Killing Special Infected: 100%
    - Killing Uber Infected/Witch: 200%
    Sideloader passively activates if it hasn't activated in 5 seconds.
    <Doesn't apply for Grenade Launcher>
    <Killing blow must be from the weapon>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP, If you're swapping often to your secondary weapon to get SI kills, the Sideloader Buff might just be able to help you with saving ammo. It's not a very useful buff on its own however, and should be combined with the Dummy Rounds/Finale Dominator Buffs if you're looking to save on ammo.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On kill with your secondary weapon, gain a chance to load 8% of primary weapon's magazine from your reserve ammo, with it activating in 5 seconds if it hasn't.
    - CI: 20%
    - SI: 100%
    - Uber SI or Witch: 200%
    <Doesn't apply for Grenade Launcher>
    <Killing blow must be damage directly from the weapon>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Frontloader: Kills with your primary weapon now have a chance to load your secondary.
      <Chance to activate is half of Sideloader base chances>
    17. Steadfast Aim+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $42,750 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 135 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 155

    Description:
    Common Infected no longer jostle your aim when attacking you and you gain 10% defense against them.
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP/Scenario where you do want better aiming with your weapons for the CI/SI or Tank, the Steadfast Aim Buff should be equipped. Even if the CI do get in your way, being able to easily aim and kill SIs for quests or damage Tanks regardless of whats in your way proves to be quite useful. If you feel that you don't happen to have any aim troubles and/or can kill the CI before they interrupt you, you may want to use another buff instead.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On CI attacking you, they no longer jostle your aim and you gain +10% defense against them.
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Steadfast Sprint: Common Infected attacking you no longer cripple your move speed or ability to jump.
    18. Pain Stimulant+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $23,850 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 15 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 125

    Description:
    Upon using Pain Pills, Adrenaline, or being revived your temporary health will not decay for 60 seconds. Increases the health you receive upon being revived by 25%.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP/Scenario, as a Guard/Controller player, if you can gain THP often from your buffs/class effects, then the Pain Stimulant Buff could be equipped. You're recommended to have the |E| |+| Pain Analeptic Buff Enhancement though as the defense gain with any THP you have can help a bit with survivability. If you end up finding better ways to survive and or heal yourself, consider swapping this buff for something else.
    • In VS, if you use any buffs that give THP and or are revived often during Tank fights, the Pain Stimulant Buff should be used. You're also recommended to get the |E| |+| Pain Analeptic Buff Enhancement as it'll be one of the only ways to have defense vs CI and also to have more defense against other damage sources.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Upon using Pain Pills, Adrenaline, or being revived, your temporary HP no longer decays for 60s. On revive, receive +25% increased HP back.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Pain Analeptic: While having temporary health, gain +10% defense from any infected damage. Bonus is doubled if you have below 25% permanent health.
    19. Trailing Haste

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $22,590 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 40 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 155

    Description:
    If you are behind the average survivor map progression, you gain 10% move speed. If there are no visible allies within 400 units as well, you gain another 10% move speed. In finales, when rescue has arrived you resist non-status slow effects.
    <Falling behind aspect has no effect in Survival, VS, or if only survivor alive>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If helping other survivors in the back, the Trailing Haste Buff can be used to allow you to get around faster. It can be used when helping other survivors that have fallen behind and/or for when you need to catch up to the other survivors in front in another area. You may find another better buff that can replace what this buff is able to do and do a better job though.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    If behind average survivor map progression, gain +10% move speed. If no visible allies within 400 units, gain another +10% move speed. In finales, when rescue has arrived you resist non-status slow effects.
    <Falling behind aspect has no effect in Survival, VS, or if only survivor alive>

This can stack with several status effects, but some statuses will not be blocked. Each time a status effect is blocked, it's duration will be reduced by 5%, up to 25% maximum reduction for the round.
    <✖ VS>

    Tips for Buff Usage:
    • In COOP/Scenario, where you know the main tank or a set of tanks can inflict some debilitating statuses that you'd want to be less affected by, the |E| Reactive Inoculation Buff should be used. By being able to reduce the status duration of some statuses, you'll reduce how much affected you are by them, allowing you to get back into the action quicker. You're also recommended to get the |E| |+| Selective Inoculation Buff Enhancement as soon as you can for further effectiveness when blocking statuses or reducing their duration.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    After being afflicted with a bad status, block that same bad status the next time it's inflicted. Stackable with several bad statuses but it won't work against some. For each bad status blocked, it's duration is -5% less, -25% max reduction for the round.
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Selective Inoculation: Once per round you can select one status effect from the !buy menu, blocking 10s of it and reducing its duration by 50% for the round.
    21. |E| Brain Consumer*

    Event Requirement:
    • Get it for 30 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.

    Description:
    Special Infected headshot kills will drop it's brain every 25 seconds. Consuming it lowers ability cooldown times by 2%, gives 2s Moustachio Bless and for 3s heal 50 + 2% Max HP/s, ignore slows and gain 15% move speed.
    <Brain can only be consumed by original killer>
    <Heal halved if above 75% HP>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • As a Controller/Guard player, if you can get a lot of SI kills, the |E| Brain Consumer Buff is worth equipping. The effects that it gives can give a small boost to survivability, making it useful on some maps/scenarios where there is a lack of regen options available. If you're focusing on having better ways to guard or deal with the SI, then it's best to swap out this buff for something else.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    SI headshot kills drop a brain each 25s. Consuming it gives -2% lower CD time, 2s Moustachio Bless and for 3s heal 50 + 2 Max HP/s, ignore slows and gain +15% move speed.
    <Brain can only be consumed by original killer>
    <Heal halved if above 75% HP>
    <✖ VS>

    • For the |E| Cocktail Maker Buff, its a versatile buff that has use in some buff sets. As an offensive buff, the Attack, Move Speed or CD reduction bonuses can be helpful depending on the player's situation, given their other buffs/abilities active at the time. As a defensive buff, the Defense and Move Speed bonuses can help a player to survive a bit better, if they know when to best get involved with their tasks depending on the situation.

    23. |E| Frost Field Generator*

    Event Requirement:
    • Get it for X Christmas Cookies from the Event Market within !event. Only during the Christmas 2020 and 2021 events.

    Description:
    When deployed from !buy menu, the generator will emit a constant 200 radius frost field around it, slowing commons/specials move and attack speed in it by 60/30% and crippling them every half second. Affected infected also permanently deal 20% less damage. The generator cannot be moved or recalled once placed.
    <Slows from multiple generators do not stack>
    <✖ VS>
    (Command: sm_ffgen)

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The |E| Frost Field Generator Buff is quite useful to have around if there are no Guard/Controller players in a COOP/Scenario map where 1 would be normally required. For placing it down in short area maps, it should be placed around the area where the infected would come from. For longer area maps, best case scenario is to use an opening in a wall/room where the infected would most likely come from when aggroing survivors. Make sure you do place the generator down correctly where it should be since it won't be able to be moved later once placed.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    When deployed from !buy menu, the generator emits a 200 radius frost field around it, slowing CI/SI move and attack speed by -60/30% and crippling every half second. Affected infected also permanently deal -20% less damage. Can't move/recall generator once placed.
    <Slows from multiple generators do not stack>
    <✖ VS>
    (Command: sm_ffgen)
    24. |E| Campfire*+

    • Get it for X Christmas Cookies from the Event Market within !event. Only during the Christmas 2020 and 2021 events.

    <Maximum 5 campfires spawned per round for all survivors>
    <Range: 500>
    <Multiple campfires do not stack>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario where the |E| Campfire Buff is seen to be useful, it should be used to help provide HP regeneration for all survivors in the main area where the tank is to be fought. It's also recommended to have the |E| |+| Spooky Campfire Buff Enhancement as you'll be able to prevent a survivor from permanently dying once when its used. Make sure to place the campfire down right to cover all the necessary sections of an area as it could make the difference between a survivor dying permanently upon taking fatal fall damage or not depending on where they did fall. This location case also applies with Shadow Tank's Division (Snap) fury ability, so keep in mind where the Campfire is placed.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Allows you to buy a campfire in the !buy menu. The campfire heals +10 HP/s if below 75% HP, lowers move slow -10% and increases other heal/regen effects +15%.

    <✖ VS>
    (Command: sm_obfuscator)

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The |E| Biological Obfuscator Buff can be used if in a desperate situation where you need to get rid of the nearby CI/SI in a hurry, especially when trying to help another survivor nearby in need of assistance. While it can be good for short term use, if you're on the move though at the time, then |V| Bird Whistle Buff has better usage as a support buff when taking down the CI/SI in a survivor's path.
