Offensive Buffs (BaBS)
  • Offensive Buffs (BaBS V3.2.9)

    Back to Main Guide

    1. Offensive Buffs
    2. Defensive Buffs
    3. Ability Buffs
    4. Equipment Buffs
    5. Utility Buffs
    6. Economy and Exp Buffs
    7. Miscellaneous Buffs

    For Others Buffs, head back to the Main Guide Page.

    Offensive Buffs let you increase the damage that you deal to the infected through the use of guns and other various weapons. Some of the buffs here may make it easier to kill the infected in a particular way or style.

    Currently, there are 24 Offensive Buffs.

    * Indicates that there needs to be an event currently active in order to be able to get the Buff from that event.
    + Indicates that the Buff has a Buff Enhancement that can be applied to it.

    For Event Buffs, the Buff/Event Requirement highlighted in green is the recommended way to go about obtaining the buff.

    1. Extra Powder+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $4,185 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Increases damage done by Pipe Bombs and Pipe Bomb Traps to Special Infected and Tanks by 150% (400% in VS).

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The Extra Powder Buff should best be combined with Grenade Trap Buff to make pipe bomb traps much more devastating against any target.
    • In VS, if you run out of knives but do have a throwable in your hand while pinned, you can use ZOOM key (Mouse 3) to use that throwable to try and get rid of the pinner.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Pipe Bombs and Pipe Bomb Traps deal 150% (400% in VS) increased damage to SI and Tanks.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Armor Piercing Grenades: Pipe bomb explosions ignore target's defenses, halved instead on tanks.
    2. Ninja+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $8,100 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 2 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 75

    Description:
    Instantly reduces current melee fatigue by 50% after killing a special infected, Additionally, it will instantly reset melee fatigue and prevent gaining more for 5 seconds after being released from a special infected.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP, you can use the Ninja Buff if you're primarily relying on melee weapons to get rid of any special infected around. More useful when you're surrounded by the SI or when you need to help other survivors get away from them.
    • In Scenario, if not using the |E| Smasher Pan Buff, the Ninja Buff does have a use at helping you to stop the SI from getting through any tight corridors that you're guarding.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Instantly reduce current melee fatigue by -50% on SI kills. Upon being released from SI, it instantly resets melee fatigue and prevents gaining more for 5 seconds.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Samurai Training: While using the Katana, gain -50% reduced melee fatigue gain rate, but only gives -33% melee fatigue reduction on SI kills.
    3. |Q| Piercing Bullets+

    Quest Requirements:
    You can get the |Q| Piercing Bullets Buff as a quest reward from the supply boxes after completing the Inseparable III Quest (Level 50) within Theodora's Questline.

    Description:
    Shooting the same Special Infected/Tank increases damage dealt by 1%/bullet or 3% with Magnum Pistol, AWP and Scout sniper rifles. Shotguns have a chance to increase by 1%/pellet equal to 75% - (weapon tier * pellet count). Bonus resets upon changing target, weapon or at max bonus.
    <Max bonus: Weapon clip size * per-bullet increment * pellet count>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • When using Shotguns with the |Q| Piercing Bullets Buff, you may want to consider using non-slug rounds weapons as the bonus from the buff is more higher in general. The overall damage difference with the Slug Rounds special config option turned on/off isn't much with other offensive buffs used however.
    • You will be able to deal more increased damage with the |Q| Piercing Bullets Buff if you use any buffs that give ammo save chances (such as Dummy Rounds, Finale Dominator, etc) . This is because the more ammo in clip size you have to give out when saved up means more bonus damage dealt to the same target.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Shooting the same Special Infected/Tank increases damage dealt by +1%/bullet or +3% with Magnum Pistol, AWP and Scout sniper rifles. Shotguns have a chance to increase by 1%/pellet equal to 75% - (weapon tier * pellet count). Bonus resets upon changing target, weapon, or at max bonus.
    <Max bonus: Weapon clip size * per-bullet increment * pellet count>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Armor Piercing Bullets: Shots may reduce more Tank armor/Flesh armor/Barrier health with bonus reduction equal to weapon's bonus damage per shot. 100% chance VS Flesh armor or with AWP/Scout, otherwise 33% chance.
    4. Excitement+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $6,750 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Heal 2/10/20 temporary HP upon killing a Common/Special/Uber Infected. Heal 50/100 temporary HP upon achieving a Common/Special Killing Spree.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario, until you get |V| Over Excitement Buff, this is an ok addition to a guarding buff set for your hp regenerating needs.
    • In VS, this is one of the better buffs for regeneration since you'll be constantly killing the CI in your way. This can be combined with the Pain Stimulant Buff (|E| Pain Analeptic Buff Enhancement highly recommended) for even more survivability.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Heal 2/10/20 THP on killing a CI/SI/Uber SI. Heal 50/100 THP on achieving a CI/SI Killing Spree.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Shared Excitement: Survivors nearby gain half (min. 1) of what you gain.
      <Also works on Over Excitement>
    5. Butcher+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $4,500 Cash
    Required Level: 180

    Description:
    You deal 1% of the target's current health on each hit with melee weapons as bonus damage.
    <Only works with targets that take melee damage>
    <Max bonus: +500 damage>
    <Bonus not applied to Chainsaw>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you plan on using a melee based buff set, be sure to bring the Butcher Buff for the increased melee damage you'll deal to the infected. For the Chainsaw, use the |V| Gory Killer Buff instead.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On each melee hit, deal 1% of target's current HP as bonus damage.
    <Only works with targets that take melee damage>
    <Max bonus: +500 damage>
    <Bonus not applied to Chainsaw>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Bloodthirst: Every 20s, you heal equal to bonus damage dealt.
      <Also works with Gory Killer>
      <✖ VS>
    6. Tank Slayer+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $7,200 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 30 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 60

    Description:
    Every 4 seconds, your next shot from a ranged weapon will deal a bonus 300 damage to Tanks.
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Tank Slayer Buff is one of the better offensive buffs to use for dealing damage to tanks, mainly because of the |E| Tank Annihilator Buff Enhancement. If you want to be versatile and have more survivability but still want to deal more damage to tanks, make sure to keep this buff equipped in your buff set.
    • Tank Slayer's buff effect will not work with the |V| Flamethrower Buff or Grenade Launcher weapon.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Deal +300 bonus damage to Tanks every 4 seconds with a ranged weapon.
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Tank Annihilator: Each subsequent activation on the same Tank deals +1 damage. Max: +150 damage. Lose 5 stacks above 50 if you die to the Tank.
    7. |E| Focused+

    Description:
    For each Special Infected Headshot kill, you gain 25% bonus headshot damage for the current round. Uber Infected take half bonus damage. Assault Rifles will consume a second bullet on SI headshot.
    <Max bonus damage: 400%>
    <No bonus damage to Tanks>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • |E| Focused Buff is a must have if you want to have an easier time gaining bounty from SI kills, especially when playing as a Controller or when Guarding.
    • When doing quests, |E| Focused Buff makes SI kill tasks easier to complete, either by making the task take less time or become easier to do overall.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On Special Infected Headshot kill, gain +25% bonus headshot damage for the current round. Uber Infected take half bonus damage. Assault Rifles consume a second bullet on SI headshot.
    <Max bonus damage: 400%>
    <No bonus damage to Tanks>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Hawkeye: Headshots to Special Infected bypass damage immunities, dealing 10% of current bonus headshot damage.
    8. |E| Tank Party Crasher+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $2.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=38

    Event Requirements:
    1. Obtain it from the White Chocolate Box for 15 Cupid Tokens, letting you get the buff at random from the list of buffs you don't yet have.
    2. Get it for 75 Sour Candies from the Sour Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018 and 2019 events.
    3. Get it for 15 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 event.
    4. Get it for 30 Christmas Vouchers from the Christmas Market within !event. Only during the Christmas 2021 event.

    Description:
    The presence of multiple tanks excites you and makes you more effective. You gain 20% damage and 5% move speed for each tank above 1 currently alive.
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP, when it comes to killing more than 1 tank, depending on the tanks involved you could focus your fire on 2 tanks at a time in equal proportions and have these tanks die at nearly the same time to get the most out of the |E| Tank Party Crasher buff effect.
    • In Scenario, if you have the |E| Anti-Tank Order Buff Enhancement, the |E| Tank Party Crasher Buff becomes a really good equip as a damage dealing buff in some Scenarios (Heartbroken, Prison, Cleanse, Spooky Night, Bounty Hunter). Just make sure you're dealing enough damage to the tanks you kill in order to accumulate tank damage stacks.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    You gain +20% damage and +5% move speed for each tank above 1 currently alive.
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Anti-Tank Order: Gain +2% (+1% in Survival) tank damage for each tank you helped kill in the current round. Max: 20%.
      <Must deal 5% tank max health as damage to count>
    9. |E| Weak Point Spotter+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $2.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=37

    Event Requirements:
    1. Obtain it from the White Chocolate Box for 15 Cupid Tokens, letting you get the buff at random from the list of buffs you don't yet have.
    2. Get it for 125 Sour Candies from the Sour Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018 and 2019 events.
    3. Get it for 25 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 event.
    4. Get it for 20 Christmas Vouchers from the Christmas Market within !event. Only during the Christmas 2021 event.

    Description:
    Passively increases damage dealt from guns by 5%, with a 3% chance per hit to ignore infected defenses and immunities and deal an additional +15% damage.
    <Immunity pierce negates attack bonuses>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • You can combine the |E| Weak Point Spotter with other damage increasing buffs to increase the damage dealt to SI and Tanks, especially if the effect procs at a lucky time (e.g. right after a Tank kills a survivor with Avenger Buff used to deal massive damage)

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Increases damage dealt from guns by +5% with a 3% chance per hit to ignore infected defenses/immunities, dealing +15% additional damage.
    <Immunity pierce negates attack bonuses>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Responsive Spotter: Every shot that doesn't activate Weak Point Spotter increases the chance by 0.1%. The chance resets once it does. (|E| Weak Point Spotter)
    10. Ranged Expert+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $67,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 200 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 175

    Description:
    Assault Rifles and SMGs completely ignore the defenses of your target but don't benefit from any attack bonuses from buffs/class effects. The weapons also suffer a 30% fire rate reduction and reload speed slow.
    <Ammo save chance halved for Rifles/SMGs>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For newer players on COOP/Scenario, this buff can be used against Tier 2 or higher tanks to deal more damage to them because these tanks have higher base defense. This can be used to help the team kill the tank and/or if you need the minimum tank damage dealt for rewards.
    • In Scenario, given the Prison Scenario specifically, equipping Ranged Expert Buff is recommended if you want to be able to make short work of the Tier 1 sidekick Tanks using Rifles or SMGs.

    Benefits in Buff Sets:
    Assault Rifles and SMGs ignore the defenses of your target but don't benefit from attack bonuses from buffs/class effects. The weapons shoot and reload -30% slower.
    <Ammo save chance halved for Rifles/SMGs>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Ranged Perfectionist: Assault Rifles and SMGS no longer suffer range damage dropoff.
    11. |E| Zapping Gun*+

    Buff Requirements:
    MG Store Cost: $4.00 USD
    MG Store Link: https://store.mgftw.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=7&product_id=57

    Event Requirements:
    1. Get it for 125 Mint Candies from the Mint Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018 and 2019 events.
    2. Get it for 25 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 event.
    3. Get it for 40 Christmas Vouchers from the Christmas Market within !event. Only during the Christmas 2021 event.

    Description:
    Movement will passively charge your pistol. For each % charge, the next shot will do 10 bonus damage. When fully charged, the next shot also stuns the target for 2 seconds. Each shot resets charge to 0%.
    <Charged shot activates on special infected and tanks only>
    <Tanks can't be stunned in 15 seconds of another stun/freeze>
    <Gun recharge rate: 3% per second running, 1% crouching/walking>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • |E| Zapping Gun Buff can be a good crowd controlling buff when used against tanks. Make sure to have a stun ready for when you need to get further away from the tank or when needing to avoid the tank's abilities.
    • Against Reaper/Shadow Tank with the Loaded Zap Buff Enhancement, |E| Zapping Gun is recommended for stopping either of the tanks using their respective abilities to try and permanently kill a survivor. The tanks will need to have been recently stunned however to make it work.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Moving around charges the pistol. For each 1% charge, next shot deals +10 bonus damage. When fully charged, it also stuns the target for 2 seconds. Each shot resets charge to 0.
    <Charged shot activates on special infected and tanks only>
    <Tanks can't be stunned in 15 seconds of another stun/freeze>
    <Gun recharge rate: 3% per second running, 1% crouching/walking>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Selective Zap: Zapping Gun only activates against Uber SI or Tanks not debilitate immune.
    • Loaded Zap: Zapping Gun only activates when at 100% charge.
    12. Deadeye+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $45,000 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 200 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 201

    Description:
    Killing a Special Infected in one shot from at least 50% health or with a headshot with the AWP or Scout sniper rifles will load a bullet into your current magazine from your reserves. Increases base headshot multiplier with AWP/Scout including to Tanks by 25%.
    <Ammo save chance with AWP/Scout is halved while equipped>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you plan on gaining bounty from SI kills using AWP/Scout sniper rifles, the Deadeye Buff can be good to pair with |E| Focused Buff to ensure that you always have bullets to expend upon.
    • As a Debuffer, the recent buff to Deadeye Buff can make AWP/Scout sniper rifles a little more enticing to use if doing headshots on Tanks as you'll deal more damage to them.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Killing SI in 1 shot from at least 50% health or with a headshot using AWP / Scout sniper rifles will load a bullet into your current magazine from your reserves. Gives +25% base headshot multiplier with AWP/Scout including to Tanks.
    <Ammo save chance with AWP/Scout is halved while equipped>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Deadshot: After 5 Deadeye shots, you can fire a Deadshot (hold USE and fire) at a Special/Tank, killing the SI or ignoring tank defenses and staggering it. It also blasts inside 300 units for the same damage, igniting them. Infected hit/killed don't trigger Deadeye.
    <top>
    13. |V| Corrosive Vomit Jar

    Buff Requirements:
    Honor Points: 50 Honor Points

    Description:
    Throwing a vomit jar at a target will disable their defenses for the duration of the vomit. Lasts 5 seconds for tanks. Also increases damage dealt from the Acid Jar skill by 50%.
    <Against Tanks, defenses slowly return after 2.5 seconds>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In General, using the |V| Corrosive Vomit Jar Buff against tanks can be a good way to let survivors around deal more damage to them for a few seconds. It can also however lure infected to the area, which can be bad if the tank can benefit from the infected attracted by the bile.
    • For Debuffer users, the |V| Corrosive Vomit Jar Buff is quite a god-send to add onto the move/attack speed slow already dealt to SI and Tanks, making it easier to kill or deal more damage to biled targets. This is also especially the case when it comes to the Jelly Tank in Paying a Visit Scenario.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Throwing a vomit jar on any infected will disable defenses for the duration of the vomit. Lasts 5 seconds for tanks. Also deals +50% increased Acid Jar skill damage.
    <Against Tanks, defenses slowly return after 2.5 seconds>
    <✖ VS>
    14. |V| Over Excitement+

    Buff Requirements:
    Honor Points: 70 Honor Points

    Description:
    Heal 2/10/20 HP upon killing a Common/Special/Uber Infected. Heal 50/100 HP upon achieving a Common/Special Killing Spree. Common/Special Killing Sprees increase heals from this buff by 10%/20%, up to a maximum of +250%.
    <Cannot heal if poisoned/incapacitated>
    <Incompatible with Excitement>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For Controllers/Guard Players, the |V| Over Excitement Buff is a good buff to equip for survivability. You'll find though that it works better with melee based buff sets unless you also use |E| Zombie Eradicator Buff when using a ranged gun based buff set. |E| Zombie Eradicator makes CI easier to take care of, giving your more HP regeneration in a short period of time.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Heal 2/10/20 HP on killing a CI/SI/Uber SI. Heal 50/100 HP on achieving a CI/SI Killing Spree. CI/SI Killing Sprees give +10/20% increased heals from this buff. Max: +250%
    <Cannot heal if poisoned/incapacitated>
    <Incompatible with Excitement>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Shared Excitement: Survivors nearby gain half (min. 1) of what you gain.
      <Also works on Over Excitement>
    15. |V| Gory Killer+

    Buff Requirements:
    Honor Points: 60 Honor Points

    Description:

    Chainsaws used by you will deal 10% (Max: 250HP on Tanks) of the target's maximum health as additional damage. Also enables chainsaws to bypass Tank melee resistance, at the cost of flat bonuses being halved.
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The |V| Gory Killer Buff is mandatory if you plan to use chainsaws as your main melee weapon of choice against the infected. Despite Chainsaws offering a different playstyle, it also cannot benefit from Hyperactive or other melee weapon buffs.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Chainsaws deal +10% (Max: 250HP on tanks) of target's max HP as additional damage. Also enables chainsaws to bypass tank melee resistance, at the cost of halving flat attack bonuses.
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Gory Munitions: Every 45 seconds, your chainsaw instantly kills the next special, consuming more chainsaw fuel but gives +10% missing ammo for your primary weapon.
    16. |V| Nihilism+

    Buff Requirements:
    Honor Points: 110 Honor Points

    Description:
    You deal 1 extra damage per shot for every 5% of your missing health. Having less than 15% health will increase bonus damage by 50%. If below 50% HP, lowers the duration a Tank remains aggroed to you by 15%.
    <Damage bonus is disabled for 10 seconds after being revived/resuscitated>
    <Shotguns gain 1/4 benefit per pellet>
    <No effect whilst incapacitated>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • With the Introduction of |E| Blood Rite Buff Enhancement, |V| Nihilism Buff has become better as a damage dealing buff if you want to equip it for dealing more damage to SI/Tanks. If you can manage aggro uptime on the Tank by not shooting it often, the Buff could potentially help give your more survivability.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Deal +1HP extra damage per shot for each 5% of missing HP. having less than 15% HP increases bonus damage by +50%. If below 50% HP, lowers tank aggro duration to you by 15%.
    <Damage bonus is disabled for 10 seconds after being revived/resuscitated>
    <Shotguns gain 1/4 benefit per pellet>
    <No effect whilst incapacitated>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Blood Rite: Grants Blood Rite. If used, lowers Max HP by -15%, but grants +15% attack if not down. Removes HP threshold for aggro time reduction and lowers aggro time another -10%. Effect lasts the whole round.
      (Command: sm_bloodrite)
    17. |E| Deep Cuts*+

    <Critical Chance: 5% + 3% for each 10 melee fatigue>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • You can combine the |E| Deep Cuts Buff along with Butcher Buff for additional melee damage dealt to SI/Tanks in a melee based buff set. You could also get away with just using |E| Deep Cuts Buff if aiming to use more survivability Buffs in your buff set as it's the stronger melee damage Buff.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Your sharp melee weapons (Axe/Katana/Machete/Knife/Pitchfork) deal +300 HP additional damage to Tanks. Additionally, gain a chance to deal +800 HP instead.
    <Critical Chance: 5% + 3% for each 10 melee fatigue>
    <✖ VS>

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Serrated Edge: Every 3rd critical hit heals you for +300 HP and inflicts 5s Bleed status on target.
      <30 second cooldown>
    18. |E| Blunt Force Trauma*

    <Tanks can't be staggered in 15 seconds of another stagger>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For Debuffers, the |E| Blunt Force Trauma Buff can be good to use if you need another way to gain Scourge stacks while your other buffs are on cooldown or you don't have the items yet. Make sure to use |C| One Man Armory Buff if you also plan to use |E| Zapping Gun Buff in your Debuffer Buff Set.
    • Against Tanks at close to medium range, you can use the stagger after having stunned your target to push it into a more favourable position for the survivors to attack the Tank. In Special Cargo Scenario, given Supreme Duelist Tank, you can stagger the tank towards the turrets to allow it to take more damage.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Every 3rd melee strike on the same SI/Tank with Bats/Golf Club/Tonfa/Shovel deals x2 damage and stuns for 1 second. Stun Immune or already stunned targets instead become staggered.
    <Target can't be stunned in 15 seconds of another stun/freeze>
    <Tanks can't be staggered in 15 seconds of another stagger>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For Controllers and Guards, Deflection Suit Buff helps to get rid of the CI and SI that get by you while you're trying to defend an area that they could pass through. Within enclosed spaces however, it could potentially be the only buff you'll need to stop them from getting through altogether.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Reflect 50% of melee damage taken against infected. Against Witches and Tanks, reflect 25% of melee damage taken. If pinned/incapacitated, return double damage.

To increase the damage you deal within an AOE, use |E| Focused Buff and aim to get headshots on SI if your aim is good, this'll help you get other infected killed that your gun can't necessarily cover.

    Your shots against infected have 10% chance to hit up to 10 infected near the target for 50% damage dealt. The shrapnel damage ignores all attack and defense modifiers. <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Out of all the melee weapons currently available within mgftw, the |E| Smasher Pan is by far the best one out there. It has very good usage against SI and Tanks and no other weapon comes close in terms of the overall damage potential on them. Just make sure to time your strikes right if you want to be able to deal damage.
    • As a Controller/Guard user, the |E| Smasher Pan is a good melee weapon of choice when using a melee based Buff Set or guarding an enclosed area that the infected can't easily get through. You can also combo this Buff with |E| Duelist Buff to avoid most frontal pins from the SI while defending.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Transforms the Frying Pan into the Smasher Pan. It swings -40% slower but deals x2.5 base damage and releases an explosive blast dealing 250 damage. It also bypasses effects that block melee damage and is unaffected by melee fatigue.

    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For the Magnum Pistol, the |E| Pressurized Water Gun offers an alternative playstyle, allowing you to hit the infected for burst damage. Consider using it if the Tank you're fighting against has Damage Reduction against Base Damage and/or want another main damage dealer weapon.
    • For Controllers/Guard Users, you can use |E| Pressurized Water Gun to stop nearby infected from approaching you or the area you're defending easily if you're out of clip size for your primary weapon. This is really it's only use though, just like with |E| Zapping Gun in these cases.

    <Must have loaded primary weapon and not downed>
    <One Man Armory swap key becomes WALK+ZOOM>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • As a melee weapon Buff of choice, the |E| Throwing Axe Buff can be a good way to damage the infected from afar if you can't get close for some reason or a Tank's ability prevents you from getting any closer. You do need to be accurate when aiming at the infected you target or otherwise you'll not be able to make contact and deal damage.
    • For Controllers/Guard users, the |E| Throwing Axe Buff should be only used if you plan on using the Axe as your main weapon of choice against CI/SI. Even then, it's only useful if the area is a long corridor or the area you're defending doesn't allow the infected to get through easily.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Enables throwing held axe in front of you by pressing ZOOM. The axe deals x2.5 (less before 0.3s) damage, flying for 1.5 seconds or until it hits a wall/floor, piercing infected. Piercing SI/Tanks lowers damage by -15%, Min: 40%.

    <AWP/Scout have x2 damage and ammo cost>
    <Cannot reload in railgun mode>
    <✖ VS>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For the |E| Railgun Bolt Buff, try saving it for when there's a good amount of SI all grouped up together or infected in a narrow corridor.
