    Ability Buffs allow your survivor to execute powerful abilities from within. Some may allow you to easily overpower the infected, while others may allow you to have an easier time holding them off with your defense. There are those buffs as well that can let you support the survivors and stop the infected from overwhelming the team.

    Currently, there are 24 Ability Buffs.

    * Indicates that there needs to be an event currently active in order to be able to get the Buff from that event.
    + Indicates that the Buff has a Buff Enhancement that can be applied to it.
    For Event Buffs, the Buff/Event Requirement highlighted in green is the recommended way to go about obtaining the buff.


    1. Deadly Shove+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $11,250 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
    Each round, the first 3 Special Infected you shove will be instantly killed. This recharges every 3 minutes in Coop. Additionally, enables shoving Chargers to stagger them and disables shoving penalty, allowing you to shove endlessly.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP and VS, you only have 3 charges of the Deadly Shove Buff before you can't use any more (despite being able to recharge it in COOP). Save your charges and shove the special infected when you only really need to use it.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Each round, Shoves instantly kill the first 3 Special Infected. This recharges every 3 minutes in COOP. Additionally, enables shoving chargers and disables shoving penalty.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Super Shove: You can hold WALK and shove to stagger any tank, using 2 Deadly Shove charges.

    2. Hyperactive+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $8,550 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 50 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 180

    Description:
    After using pills or an adrenaline shot, your swing and move speed will increase by 10% for 15 seconds. During the duration of this effect, your melee fatigue will not increase. Once it expires, Hyperactive cannot be re-applied for 15 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • For Scenario, given the Prison Scenario, consider using the Hyperactive Buff when you know more work is needed to take down a prison cage if there's less players around and/or if the Imprisoner tank is in guarded/desperate state. Given Special Cargo, 1 would mainly wait to use Hyperactive until they can deal more damage to the Supreme Duelist Tank without dying.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On using pills/adrenaline shot, gain +10% increased swing and move speed and melee fatigue cannot decrease/increase for 15 seconds. Hyperactive cannot be re-applied for 15 seconds after.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Overcharge Arms: While Hyperactive is active, gain 66% reduced swing speed penalty. While Hyperactive is on cooldown, gain 50% reduced swing speed penalty.
    • Overcharge Legs: While Hyperactive is active, gain 66% reduced move speed penalty from slows. While Hyperactive is on cooldown, gain 50% reduced move speed penalty from slows.
    3. Avenger+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $8,550 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 80 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 160

    Description:
    After an infected kills one of your teammates, it becomes a revenge target causing you to deal +200% damage and resist death from it by 8 seconds. The bonus damage scales off over the 8 seconds. Upon becoming a revenge target, it cannot be again for 8 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If any Tank happens to kill an alive survivor at a critical moment, it may be your best possible chance to use those damage dealing buffs if the situation is particularly good. In other cases, if you're about to die, you can use the time you get to retreat to safety and heal up or defib if needed.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On any infected kill on a survivor, deal +200% increased damage and resist death from the revenge target for 8 seconds. The bonus damage scales down overtime. After being a revenge target, it cannot be again for 8 seconds.

    • Respite: Reduces claw damage from revenge targets by target's kill count times 5. Blocks Tank punch/rock stuns and SI Pin/Flings for 4s/8s from revenge targets.

    4. |E| Zombie Eradicator+

    Buff Requirements:

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 125 Fruity Candies from the Fruity Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Obtain it from the White Chocolate Box for 15 Cupid Tokens, letting you get the buff at random from the list of buffs you don't yet have.
    • Get it for 25 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.

    Description:
    Shots against regular common infected (those not affected by certain buffs/Tank abilities) will deal minimum 100 damage instantly killing and gibbing them.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The easiest way to clear a horde of common infected is to use any primary weapon with a fast rate of fire that can hit them with the Zombie Erradicator Buff equipped.

    Benefits in Buff Set:
    Shots against regular common infected (those not affected by certain buffs/Tank abilities) will deal minimum 100 damage with any weapon.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Zombie Shredder: Deal 50% bonus damage to Common Infected not instantly killed and have a chance to stagger them. Higher damage = higher stagger chance.
    5. |E| Beyond the Grave+

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 125 Fruity Candies from the Fruity Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018 and 2019 events.
    • Obtain it from the Bitter Chocolate Box for 15 Cupid Tokens, letting you get the buff at random from the list of buffs you don't yet have.
    • Get it for 25 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 event.

    Description:
    While dead with at least 20 bounty, if a Tank is alive or half the team is dead or down, you can access the !buy menu to spend all of your own bounty to deal 75 damage multiplied by your bounty lost to all infected on the map.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • You can use the Beyond the Grave Buff for when you need to clear an area of infected for other alive survivors so they have time to recuperate or for dealing damage to tanks.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    If dead with at least 20 bounty, a tank is alive or half the team is dead or down, you can use !buy menu to spend all bounty, dealing 75 damage multiplied by your bounty lost to all infected.

    • |E| Grave Suspension: Activating BTG prevents infected spawns for 0.075 seconds multiplied by bounty lost. Surviving specials are blinded for the same duration.
      <Minimum: 3 seconds, maximum 7.5 seconds>
    • |E| Grave Recuperation: Activating BTG revives and heals all alive survivors for 7.5 HP multiplied by bounty lost and gives Moustachio Bless equal to 0.075 seconds multiplied by bounty lost.

    6. Strength Burst+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $135,000 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 300 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 218

    Description:
    When used, for 12 seconds all non-Witch Infected will be shoved away and you cannot be downed. If downed on use, you revive yourself. The effect causes damage to your muscles, lowering max HP by 20% for a minute, after which you regain 1% max health every 30 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The Strength Burst Buff can only be used once. So use it at the right moment to shove any tank and get it into a spot where you and the other survivors can deal free damage to it for a few moments.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    When used, all non-Witch Infected will be shoved away and you cannot be downed for 12 seconds. You'll revive yourself if downed. The effect gives -20% reduced max HP for 60 seconds, after which you regain +1% max HP every 30 seconds.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Hyper Burst: While Strength Burst is active, gain +5% increased move speed and fire rate, +10% increased reload and deploy speed and you ignore all slow effects for the duration.
    7. Immolation+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $67,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 150 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 201

    Description:
    Pressing the ZOOM key with a molotov in hand consumes the molotov, igniting yourself for 25 seconds. While active, you gain 20% slow reduction and infected nearby will immediately catch fire but you take 5 damage every 0.5 seconds. While running on the ground, you leave behind fire trails which last 5 seconds. These trails will not harm allies or ignite items.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • When using the Immolation Buff, use it if you want to avoid being slowed down in the presence of any tanks alive. It can also be used as a useful way to get any common infected that surround you and your teammates out of the way, allowing for an easy escape path.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Pressing the ZOOM key with a molotov in hand consumes it, igniting yourself for 25 seconds. While active, gain +20% slow reduction and any infected nearby will catch fire but you take 5 damage/0.5s. You leave behind fire trails lasting 5 seconds while running that won't harm allies/ignite items.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Burning Soul: Gain -0.5%/0.5s slow effect decay while immolation is active, at the cost of +3 increased damage per tick.
    8. |E| Berserk+

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The Berserk Buff, when activated can be a great way to do some DPS on a tank and bring its health down, especially if some of your other buffs that give attack bonuses are currently active. Using the buff effectively with time can help you out in the long run.
    • If you happen to have the |+| Juggernaut Buff Enhancement, the |E| Berserk Buff also becomes a great supporting tool, helping you to get out of infected pins and lets you help out other survivors in a pinch much sooner, highly recommend getting the buff enhancement as soon as possible.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    When active, ignore defenses and immunities for 30 seconds.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Juggernaut: Duration reduced to 20 seconds. While Berserk is active, resist stuns, paralysis, slows, freezing, staggers, fling, aim punch, knockdowns, fear and Special Infected Pins. 4 minute cooldown.
    9. Tactical Reload+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $6,750 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 125

    Description:
    Manually reloading before your magazine is empty will increase your reload speed by 15%.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In situations where you'll need to quickly damage any tank with as much ammo uptime on it as possible, you may want to use Tactical Reload Buff for faster reload speed. This can be combined with buffs like |E| Berserk and Dummy Rounds Buff to help with your dps needs. If using any shotgun weapon in this case, use the Compressed Shell Buff instead.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Manually reloading before magazine is empty gives +15% increased reload speed.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • Lightning Hands: Once every 30 seconds, gain double bonus reload speed.
    10. |V| Bird whistle+

    Buff Requirement:
    Honor Points: 130 Honor Points

    Description:
    Gives you a bird whistle that calls a horde of crows to attack. Infected in 600 range take damage per second for 5 seconds equal to:
    - Common and Special: 1,000 HP (500 HP to Witches)
    - Tanks: Tier 1: 1% max health, Tier 2+: 0.4% max health (max 1,250)

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The |V| Bird Whistle Buff is seen as a versatile buff in two ways. You can either use it offensively to damage any tanks that are nearby or you can use it in a supportive manner to help out yourself or your teammates who may be stuck in a pinch with infected around.
    • Given Scenario, you may need to time when the |V| Bird Whistle Buff is used on the main tank, depending on what you'll be doing after. If you find the situation doesn't allow for easy use of the buff, consider taking a step back and waiting until the timing is just right so you don't miss out your chance on damaging it after.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Use a bird whistle to call crows to attack. Infected within 600 units take damage every second for 5 seconds equal to:
    - Common and Special: 1,000 HP (500 HP to Witches)
    - Tanks 1: 1% max health, Tier 2+: 0.4% max health (max 1,250)

    11. Mobility Master+

    Buff Requirements:

    Description:
    Enables you to double jump by pressing jump again while in the air, or double tap a direction to quickly dash in that direction.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • The Mobility Master Buff is a must have buff on most given buff sets for COOP/Scenario. The ability to be able to quickly move from 1 place to another is a very convenient tool that has many uses. A common use for it is to quickly get out of danger as soon as you're defibbed so you can reduce the amount of damage taken and get right back into the action.
    • In COOP, when it comes to map traversability, the Mobility Master Buff makes it easier to move around the map, especially since the double jump action can allow you to get to places higher or lower than you more quickly. This is helpful in instances for when you need to backtrack towards a survivor in need of help.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Enables you to double jump by pressing jump again in midair or double tap a direction to quickly dash in that direction.

    • Momentum Blast: Gives dash 2 charges and enables ground slamming by pressing crouch after double jumping. Upon dashing or landing after a ground slam, infected in 200 units take 150 blast damage.

    12. |V| Enraging Waves+

    Buff Requirement:
    Honor Points: 80 Honor Points

    Description:
    Allows you to use a device that will send low frequency waves to the area. All tanks not already taunted will immediately reset their aggro and will focus you instead for 7 seconds or until you deactivate the device.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario, given some main tanks, the |V| Enraging Waves Buff can be combined with the |V| Protective Bag Buff. This allows you to aggro the tank towards you without fear of you being crowd controlled or damaged while everyone else can focus fire towards it.
    • Given the Prison Scenario, where a Tier 1 tank needs to be quickly killed and isn't being aggroed enough towards players, you can use the |V| Enraging Waves Buff and aggro it to a safe location so that it can be killed without causing trouble for the whole team.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Allows you to use a frequency device. All tanks not taunted will immediately reset aggro and focus you for 7 seconds or until device is deactivated.

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 75 Fruity Candies from the Fruity Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Get it for 15 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.
    Description:
    After reviving a teammate (hanging revives don't count) they will take 50% less damage (including true damage) and gain 25% movement speed. The bonuses decay over 25 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP/Scenario, the |E| Courage Buff when used can be a useful way to help survivors who are revived from incapacitation to stay alive for longer. It's worth recommending to use if you're a player who is focused on gaining bounty through helping other survivors. Other Support Players may prefer to use better buffs however, if they are more focused on the general support stuff instead.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    After reviving a teammate (hanging revives don't count), they take -50% reduced damage (including true damage), and gain +25% movement speed. The bonuses decay over 25 seconds.

    • Inner Courage: If you are revived (excluding hanging revives) you gain the Courage effects for 15 seconds.

    14. |E| Dying Berserk*+

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 175 Sour Candies from the Sour Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Get it for 35 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 or 2022 events.
    Description:
    On lethal damage from infected, before dying, live for 6s ignore defense, immunities, status, CC, ammo usage or fatigue. Tanks are taunted but buff attack bonuses are halved. Each use lowers time by 0.5s, min 3s. Medkit use resets time. Dying Berserk won't end while performing use action.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario, when |E| Dying Berserk is active, consider your current situation and quickly take action. If you notice that you should be dying near a pile of bodies, position yourself before death so that you may quickly get over to where you need to be dead once it happens. This case also applies when it comes to defibbing or reviving any survivors nearby. If not many players are dead however, you can consider killing nearby infected/damaging the tank as needed in the best possible place before dying.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    On lethal damage, live for 6s ignoring defenses/immunities, status, CC, ammo use or fatigue. Taunt all tanks but halve buff attack bonuses. Each use lowers time by 0.5s, min 3s. Medkit use resets time. DB won't end while performing use action.

    Buff Enhancements that can be applied to this Buff:
    • |E| Out With A Bang: Upon death, deal 1,500 explosive damage to nearby infected. Each activation after gives -250 reduced damage, 500 minimum. Medkit use resets damage.
    15. |E| Hidden Strength*+

    Buff Requirements:

    Event Requirements:
    • Get it for 150 Caramel Candies from the Caramel Candy Market within !event. Only during the Halloween 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 events.
    • Get it for 30 Summer Tokens from the Summer Market within !event. Only during the Summer 2020 and 2022 events.
    Description:
    If 6 or fewer survivors are currently alive, you can use the !buy menu to come back to life from your dead body. This cannot be used if your body was destroyed or if you died over 3 minutes ago. After resuscitation your max health is reduced to 25% and you will be slowed by 30%. The effects decay over 2 minutes. You also gain 20 seconds of immunity to Special Infected pins.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario, given how 1 player would consider using the |E| Hidden Strength Buff, it is often combined with either the |E| Non-Aggression Pact Buff or |E| Sacrifice Buff. If you aim to use HS and have a plan, do it as soon as you can. To better help with HS use, consider dying close to the other survivors so that when HS is used, the move speed slow won't impair you from performing other actions as much.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    If 6 or fewer survivors are alive, you can use the !buy menu to resuscitate yourself if body wasn't destroyed or not dead for over 3 minutes. You'll be revived with -75% reduced max HP and move -30% slower. Both effects decay over 2 minutes. Gain 20s pin immunity.

    • Inner Might: When used, gain full CC immunity, status immunity and 60% damage resistance (including true damage) for 20 seconds. Damage resistance decays over time.
    16. Adrenaline Area Booster+

    Buff Requirements:
    Cost: $13,950 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 50 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 125

    Description:
    Shoving the ground with Adrenaline will consume it to give all allies in 300 units 10% movement speed, slow reduction and 5 HP regen for 15 seconds, as well as 5 seconds of Adrenaline.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In COOP, you can consider using the Adrenaline Area Booster Buff to help survivors get out of a tight spot if too many CI are surrounding them, especially in water zones where escaping from them is almost impossible.
    • In VS, Adrenaline Area Booster can be strategically used in a few ways. You could try using an adrenaline at the start of the map to get a head start before the infected react. Another way to use the buff is to use it when encountering too much spitter acid in an area you need to pass through or a tight corridor so you can have an easier passage to the next area in the map.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
    Shoving the ground with Adrenaline consumes it, giving all allies in 300 units +10% move speed, slow reduction, +5 HP/s regen for 15s and 5s Adrenaline.

    • |E| Adrenaline Accelerator: When the buff is active, affected survivors gain -25% reduced slow effects and causes slow effects to instantly start decaying.
    17. Down but Not Out+

    Buff Requirements:

    Description:

In other cases, where the tank is at low enough health where it could potentially wipe the team without action being taken, using the Pact Buff here can work well. With either Buff Enhancement active, use timing does matter as well.

    • The |E| Displacement Buff has a niche use in COOP/Scenario, depending on the situation that you use it for. Within COOP, you can help a survivor at the back get further ahead to the other survivors in front by swapping your location with them if you'll be able to catch up later on. Within Scenario, its recommended use is for teleporting tanks to another location where the survivors can damage it better and/or stunning Shadow Tank when all other CC options have been exhausted when it's trying to use its Division fury ability.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • In Scenario, where the usage of defibs or bounty in general is limited, either due to tanks killed overtime or external scenario factors, the |E| Mechanical Teddy Bear Buff has good use here. In cases where a strong tank has spawned towards the beginning of a scenario and its likely to kill multiple survivors before it can be killed, using a bear or two can help save on defib uses for later on. Another case where using a bear could be considered is during the later parts of Scenario where there aren't many survivors alive, thus you being alive is important. Make sure to place down a bear as soon as you can before you die, in a location where another survivor can easily die to get the best use out of the buff.
