  • Spitter Buffs (IBaR V2.0.7)

    Back to Main Guide Page

The order of the Spitter Buffs in this list are: Damage Dealer, Slower, Healer

    1. Enhanced Acid Claws (Damage Dealer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $2,250 Cash
    Required Level: 35

    Description:
Increases by 12 the damage done by the Acid Claws skill.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • This is mostly meant for a Spitter who likes to melee attack the survivors once they're done spitting or just want to get an ambush attack on them before dying. This is often useful if you don't plan to use the Spitter for mainly attacking but still want to put the pain onto the survivors.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Gives +12 additional damage done by the Acid Claws skill.
    2. Spit fixed damage (Damage Dealer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $7,200 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 20 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 120

    Description:
Your spit deals 2 HP fixed base damage instead of gradually going from 0 to 5.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If the survivors are on the move in larger areas and you know that you cannot easily deal a lot of damage with your spit to them, you may wish to consider using this buff instead. Try not to use it when you plan to spit at the survivors in smaller areas as the normal spit damage often will get the job done better.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Your spit deals 2 HP fixed based damage instead of 0 to 5.
    3. Effervescence (All Roles)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $585 Cash
    Required Level: 180

    Description:
When a survivor dies from your acid, another acid pool will appear under the corpse. Incapacitating a survivor has a 20% chance of spawning an additional acid pool.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Very useful to have equipped when trying to deal a lot of damage to the survivors or to slow them down a lot. If you can easily incapacitate the survivors in smaller areas, this job is already done. Just try not to use this buff in outdoor areas where you'll have lesser chances to do this.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
When a survivor dies from your acid, another acid pool spawns under the corpse. Incapacitating a survivor has a 20% chance of spawning an additional acid pool.
    4. Acid reaction (Damage Dealer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $9,000 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 30 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 120

    Description:
You deal additional damage with your claws equal to 1% of the target's maximum health plus 2% of the target's current health if the target has received damage from any acid pool within the last 3 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Best used for a melee based spitter or for when you're about to die but still want to leave some damage dealt to your acid pool target. Otherwise it's not very useful elsewhere.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Deal +1% Max HP additional damage, plus +2% Current HP additional damage to the survivor if they received damage from any acid pool in the last 3 seconds.
    5. Joke's On You (Damage Dealer) (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $4,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
Your acid deals 50% more damage if you are dead.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Best used as a Spitter for when you know that the survivors are about to move on and want to spit on them for any bounty gain. This can also be useful for dealing heavy damage to low health survivors right as you die, potentially allowing you to get a lot more bounty if done right.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
On death, deal +50% increased acid damage.
    1. Corrosion (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $27,000 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 50 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 195

    Description:
Applies corrosion stacks (from the corrosive tank) on each acid hit.

0.2HP max health reduction per hit (Min: 20 HP).
0.001 speed reduction per hit (Min: 0.95).
0.0003 swing speed reduction per hit (No minimum).

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • To get the most out of corroding the survivors, you'll want to spit where the most survivors will be to affect them. Can easily be done in a small area, especially with any incapacitated survivors. In larger areas however, you may not be able to get all of the survivors that you want to inflict corrosion stacks on.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Applies corrosion stacks on each acid hit to the survivors.
0.2HP max health reduction per hit (Min: 20 HP).
0.001 speed reduction per hit (Min: 0.95).
0.0003 swing speed reduction per hit (No minimum).
    2. Ultra Sticky Goo (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $3,375 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 1 FR-Pill
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
Survivors inside your acid are unable to crawl.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • To stop any incapacitated survivors from crawling, be sure to spit on them or spit where you'll think they will go next. During tank fights, you'll want to make sure that you're stopping as many incapacitated survivors as you can from proceeding, allowing the tank to easily damage them.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Incapacitated survivors inside your acid cannot crawl.
    3. Sticky Goo (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $7,200 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 3 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 160

    Description:
Instantly reduces the speed of nearby survivors by 25% upon contact with your acid.
<If survivors are already slowed by over 25%, this buff does nothing>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you really need to slow down the survivors, focus targeting on the survivors you know might try to rush throughout the map. You will still be able to stop the survivors from progressing when targeting them in a smaller area, so do consider that as well if needed.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Upon contact with your acid, nearby survivors are slowed by -25%.
<If survivors are already slowed by over 25%, this buff does nothing>
    4. Isolated (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6,120 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 180

    Description:
Your acid slows lonely survivors by 9% per hit.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Best to only use this buff if you really want to stop any lonely survivors from rushing ahead of the team or to get a hunter to catch up to them and pin them down.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Your acid slows lonely survivors by 9% per hit.
    1. Propellant Acid (Healer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $4,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 50 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 105

    Description:
Decreases claw hit interval (increases attack speed) of special infected inside your acid by 15%.
    <Does not work with tanks>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Simply put, if you want to help get a survivor incapacitated or killed faster, be sure to spit on any special infected that's currently targeting one. Make sure that you aren't seen by the other survivors while spitting.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Gives +15% increased attack speed to special infected inside your acid.
    <Does not work with tanks>
    2. Protective Acid (Healer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $450 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 1 FR-Pill
    Required Level: 50

    Description:
Special infected inside your acid will receive 15% less damage.

    Tips in Buff Usage:
    • If you see any special infected or tank that's taking damage, go spit at them. You might be able to save them from dying or taking a lot of damage for a short time. Make sure you don't get seen before you decide to spit at your infected target.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Special Infected inside your acid take -15% reduced damage.
    3. Acid Deletion (Healer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $3,375 Cash
    Required Level: 150

    Description:
If you expose a survivor corpse for more than 1 minute to your acid it will be unable to be revived.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you see any survivors that are dead near other alive survivors, do spit on the dead body without letting yourself be seen. You may need the other infected to stop the other alive survivors from defibbing the dead body you're trying to destroy though, especially if it's an important survivor.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
If you expose a survivor corpse for 60 seconds to your acid, it becomes destroyed.
    4. Improved Healing (Healer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $3,375 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 150

    Description:
You heal 10% more for each minute that pass.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you want to be a pure healer, this buff becomes essential to equip! In order of healing you should focus on any tanks attacking the survivors first. If no tanks are alive, then you should focus on healing the pinning infected with Charger, Hunter, Smoker then Jockey being healed in that order.

    Benefit in Buff Sets;
You heal +10% more each 60 seconds that pass.
    5. Healing Madness (Healer)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $8,055 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 200

    Description:
If a survivor dies inside your acid you will heal for 1,000HP per second and will be immune to damage for 20 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • You should only consider equipping this buff if you plan to kill at least 1 survivor with your Healer Spitter. Otherwise, its not really worth using. Your best chance at killing that 1 survivor would also happen to be during tank fights.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
If a survivor dies inside your acid, your spit heals for 1,000 HP/s and will be damage immune for 20 seconds.
