Boomer Buffs (IBaR)
  • Boomer Buffs (IBaR V2.0.5)

    Back to Main Guide Page

The order of the Boomer Buffs in this list are: Assassin, Slower

The Boomer Buffs seen here can help the boomer with his ability to bitch slap survivors or his vomit special ability, making it possible to make short work of the survivors alive. There are also buffs with the common infected/traps at their disposal to let them distract the survivors and prevent them from moving on easily from most indoor/small areas.

    1. Boiling Vomit (Assassin) (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $720 Cash
    Required Level: 30

    Description:
Your vomit causes damage to survivors equal to 1 HP each 0.1 seconds while you soak them with it.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you spawn close enough to the survivors in a non-death zone area, you can ambush the survivors and try to incapacitate those with low HP. Most boomers would try to bitch slap survivors/use other buffs before vomiting however.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Your vomit deals 1 damage/0.1s while soaking survivors.
    2. Horde Power (Assassin) (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $855 Cash
    Required Level: 15

    Description:
The horde you invoke as a boomer will deal double damage.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • You'd only would want to use this buff if you want the common infected to take down the survivors faster. Even then it'd be best to combine this with other buffs to make the common infected viable against the survivors.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
The hordes you spawn as a boomer deal x2 damage.
    3. Acid Boomer Trap (Assassin)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $5,850 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 135

    Description:
Allows you to leave a trap in the floor that will explode when survivors get near. The trap deals 10% (Max HP) current health as true damage to survivors and spawns an acid pool on detonation. You can only place one trap per spawn and can have up to 3 traps placed. Traps disappear doing nothing after 45 seconds.
<The traps DO NOT push survivors>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you're going to ambush the survivors, your best bet would be to place the acid boomer trap in a spot where it can get the most survivors at once whenever they enter a small area indoors (especially if they need to proceed forward). If you really want to gain some bounty from doing this, then you can try placing it in strategical locations, such as at the elevator door where the survivors come out of, making for a good ambush attack!

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Allows you to set an acid boomer trap in floor that explodes when survivors are nearby. The trap deals 10% Max HP true damage and spawns an acid pool on affected survivors. Only 1 trap placed per spawn, up to 3 traps placed. Traps disappear doing nothing after 45 seconds.
<The traps DO NOT push survivors>
    4. Ambusher (Assassin)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $5,895 Cash
    Required Level: 102

    Description:
Makes you invisible as a Boomer for 1.5 seconds after you spawn. This will reduce the target survivor's response time giving you a better chance to perform a good slap.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • You must use this buff if you plan to immediately bitch slap any survivor right after spawning. Just make sure you can time your spawn right so the survivor won't know where you're coming from!

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Become invisible for 1.5 seconds after spawning.
    5. Karma Spree (Assassin)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6,300 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 140

    Description:
Instantly resets your bitch slap cooldown after a successful karma slap.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • So... you like slapping survivors? Better use the Karma Spree Buff then! Just make sure that you don't get killed after your bitch slap CD is reset from killing a survivor. You're recommended to use this buff as well if you think you can get multiple survivors killed in the same life in the same death zone areas on the map. It's not easy to do, but makes the bounty gain all the more worthwhile in the end!

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Instantly resets your bitch slap cooldown after a successful karma slap.
    6. Beach Volley (Assassin)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $6,480 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 175

    Description:
Allows you to bitch slap incapacitated survivors. Slap power on incapacitated survivors is reduced by 30%.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Unless you have this buff equipped, you won't ever be able to touch incapacitated survivors as an assassin boomer much before you're killed. With this buff equipped however, it can allow you to pick off any incapacitated survivors whenever they're near any death zone. Just be careful around them if they do end up having the Counter Slap Buff, as it'll reduce this buff's effectiveness a lot.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Allows you to bitch slap incapacitated survivors with 30% reduced slap power.
    7. Launch preparations (Assassin)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $4,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 10 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 180

    Description:
If your bitch slap is on cooldown, each attack with your claws will increase the power of the next slap of any boomer by 5%. The bonus percent decays by 5% each 5 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Only use this buff if you know you're going to need more bitch slap power to kill the survivors on some given maps. Even then, be careful when attacking survivors while your bitch slap is on cooldown. You don't want to accidentally bitch slap a survivor if you don't know how much CD time is left on your next bitch slap.

    Benefit in Buff Sets
While your bitch slap is on cooldown, gain +5% increased bitch slap power on every claw hit. Bonus decays by 5% every 5 seconds.
    8. Karma Enthusiast (Assassin)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $1,350 Cash
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
After a successful karma slap, you will be immune to damage for 5 seconds.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Make sure to use this buff alongside the Karma Spree Buff! If you want to be able to kill multiple survivors near a particular death zone area, you'll want to use this chance! Otherwise, you can also use those 5 seconds to go hide if you really need to get away for a moment.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
After a successful karma slap, you'll become damage immune for 5 seconds.
    1. Vomit Cloud (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $7,200 Cash
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
When you die as a Boomer you will leave a bile cloud for 10 seconds that will bile and slow by 6% per second any survivors that pass through.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you want to get the most out of slowing survivors. Die near them in a small area that they cannot easily move away from or die in an area that they're expected to pass through a short time after. You can combine this buff with other slow buffs from yourself/other infected to further slow down the survivors if needed in a larger area.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Upon dying, leave a bile cloud for 10 seconds that biles and slows nearby survivors for 6%/s.
    2. Bloody Boomer Trap (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $2,835 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 135

    Description:
Allows you to leave a trap on the floor that will explode when survivors get near. The trap slows nearby survivors down by 40%. You can only place one trap per spawn and can have up to 3 traps placed. Traps disappear doing nothing after 45 seconds.
<The traps push survivors away when they explode>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • When using the Bloody Boomer Trap, you may have a better chance to affect the survivors by planting a trap from a high vantage point (when looking down at the ground and crouching) without being seen. When in indoor areas, place your traps in locations similar to where you'd place down the acid boomer traps, especially if you want the other infected to attack the slowed survivors after without much trouble.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Allows you to set a bloody boomer trap that explodes when survivors get near. It slows affected survivors for -40% move speed. Only 1 trap per spawn placed, up to 3 traps placed. Traps disappear doing nothing after 45 seconds.
<The traps push survivors away when they explode>
    3. Horde Resistance (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $8,550 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 200

    Description:
The horde around will receive 75% less damage and will be immune to instant kill effects (except for explosions)
    <Radius : 500 units>

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you want to slow down the survivors with the common infected by letting them get in their way, you'll have to hide from the survivors and stay alive. Combine this with the Horde Power Buff and you might be able to stop some survivors from proceeding for a bit. This buff is entirely useless to use in larger/outside areas though so use it when you're in indoor areas.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
If alive, the horde around takes -75% reduced damage and becomes immune to instant kill effects (except for explosions)
    <Radius: 500 units>
    4. Bad Descent (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $4,500 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 175

    Description:
After a survivor lands from your bitch slap there is a 10% probability of them landing on a bad position which will cause a severe injury to their legs and will acquire the Paralyzed state. Paralyzed survivors will slowly lose movement speed until they can no longer move for a few seconds. After that they will slowly recover normal speed.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • If you want to always ensure that you have a chance to paralyze a survivor with your bitch slap, then do your bitch slap first if you're going to ambush the survivors before doing anything else. Even if you don't manage to paralyze the bitch slapped survivor, you have at least tried to help the other infected out and may still be able to separate that survivor from the rest of the team if you know what to do after.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
After any survivor lands from your bitch slap, they have a 10% chance to become Paralyzed.
    5. Fatigue (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $900 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 5 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 100

    Description:
Each hit with your claw will slow the target survivor by 5% per hit.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • Best used when ambushing the survivors or if you want to annoy them while another infected is currently pinning any other survivors. If you manage to claw attack the survivor a few times, their slowed movement speed you accumulate could be enough to help the other infected get the damage/kill on the pinned survivor. Don't try to attack in outdoor areas though, the boomer is largely vulnerable and will die quickly before being able to hit anyone.

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Each claw hit on a survivor slows them by 5%.
    6. Karma Frenzy (Slower)

    Buff Requirements:
    Cash Cost: $270 Cash
    FR-Pills Cost: 60 FR-Pills
    Required Level: 201

    Description:
After a successful karma slap you will be granted with 80% attack speed and will take 95% less damage for 10 seconds. You will also not be able to be shoved for the duration of the effect.

    Tips on Buff Usage:
    • While you won't be able to go on a karma spree like with the Assassin Boomer, you can still put your skills to good use. Your damage immunity and higher attack speed lets you use the other buffs you have equipped to either slow or stop the survivors from moving with more efficiency if you recently did a bitch slap near a dead zone. If you need to hide, do so just before your Karma Frenzy buff effect expires so you can get the most out of using it!

    Benefit in Buff Sets:
Upon a successful bitch slap, gain +80% increased attack speed, take -95% reduced damage and you cannot be shoved for 10 seconds.
