    Back to School doesn't work, it loads half way then client crash so had to remove it :(

    So it's down to:

    Suicide Blitz 2
    Warcelona
    Diescraper Redux

    Urban Flight
    Blood Proof

    They have to be in the workshop or I can't add them. I can only find Detour Ahead.

    I'll add that one as well though. I'll re-add back 2 school, seems that the improved blood textures addon crashes the game so removed that. If you're subscribed to that then plz unsubscribe.

    I hate workshop, navigating through that interface is a fucking disaster and for some reason the workshop for L4D2 is suddenly gone in my steam client but it works in my browser.

    Nice Valve......

    Can I please a full list of custom maps present on server (if it could be kept updated it would be awesome) ?

    As my workshop addons just don't work (crash my l4d2 and Steam process) I need to download each campaign manually from l4dmaps.com and such list would be really helpful.

    After an hour of downloading,restarting steam,trying to join,etcetera I'm just not getting in.
    I would love to join,i did everything you guys advised but i just can't join...
    Any other tips left that are not given before?

    I downloaded all the maps,apparently they needed to load under ''add ons'' in l4d2 menu,i restarted steam,tried joining,got the ''guts'' message,restarted steam again and still got the same message..

    What do i do?

    When u get the Engine Error Map/Guts, close L4D2. Close Steam. Restart Steam.

    The difference you may want to do:

    When starting L4D2, do NOT USE "Join User's Game" link. Just double click L4D2. Let it stay at the main menu. You will notice a stutter-step as it verifies recently "subscribed" Workshop files.

    Now, use your ServerBrowser to join the game. You will smoothly connect with no EngineError Map / Guts issue. :)

    Be sure to remove the optimized blood textures addon or else you can't get in on some maps.

    I got the error as well, like Erik says you should start L4D2 first then you see a circle animation around 'addons' which means it's verifying your addons. Wait for that to disappear otherwise you'll get the error.

    Then press ~ and type connect 204.188.252.135:27015

    Does anyone know what could cause crash mid-game on Back to School campaign ? I think it was 3rd or 4th map (not long after some truck ride). I was on the car and then my game freezed and the crashed to desktop.

    The server is full now,but it is making an attempt to join,so that seems like very good news!

    Ill try again later!

    Try not to factor in these types of symptoms when playing BTS campaign. It seems to be the only custom campaign that actually causes lag naturally or out of default behavior.

    We just added it into the rotation today.

    Otherwise, if you crash to desktop during custom campaigns it could be a # of things... lately I've seen a couple here & there, mostly MG-related (PR version plugin update, etc.)

    Updated the first post guys (I'll keep it updated).

    For Ravenholm the server needs a reboot first before I can activate that. But be sure to subscribe to it in the meantime.
