   I would throw whatever i get my hands on, even my hoody or a t-shirt to 'incapcitate' the fly and then either whack it to death or just throw it out the window.

   or an easy way to kill the mice is to get a cat or a snake who will eat the mice and make sure no mice enters a foot or its tail in your house..
