[PR] Elements of Pain [ΞØP] - No Level Restrictions

Empty Servers. When players are on he doesn't farm as much.

Exclude all bot activity from HLSTATSX on PR-VS and we'll be fine.

 

Do you mean 1 player farming off bots on an < 4 player server? Or, do you mean like "Nick" or "Ellis" has high bot figures for kills?

I've been working on disabling HLX-tracking on all servers with less than 4 players for as long as I've had access to HLX. I even submitted a ticket with the support staff. With L4D2, it's very, very, very hard to do or we haven't found the solution yet.

It is possible to farm awards with less than 4 players online. Same problem as with MG's bitch slap event where players were farming botkills on empty servers. And even with 3 Level 1 Players on a server + 1 farming Level 215, the farmer can get alot of points by killing the bots.

This is why I am asking to remove botstats.
If botkills wouldn't be registered in HLSTATSX at all, this would annoy our farming friends and solve this issue.

 

Ok, I get what you mean by botkills... we're talking about the same thing... "any stats collected on a non-PR-enabled server." I'll do my best and follow-up with the HLX admins and see if there is a known or easy fix yet for this.

 

Not exactly... The only way for a player to gain points/awards on a PR-VS server, should be by killing other players. So, what I meant was the deactivation of all future stats collected by a player on a PR-enabled server which result out of a killed bot.

(we're talking about PR-VS, not PR-COOP)

 

My bad. I thought you meant PR in general. Well, that's a tier 2 problem. First, I need to figure out how to fix the tier 1 issue of "disabling HLX tracking on a non-PR-enabled server" if for no other reason than being consistent with the PR requirement.

Once that's established, PR-VS servers can be individually configured. Tracking bot kills and stuff is very tricky business and this is something that needs some further discussion and evaluation.
