    I'm finally revealing myself

    I've been a part of this community for over 3 years now, I'm pretty sure most of you know me but there are some people who don't know me very well yet. This pic is about 3 months old but i still look the same, except i got longer hair and i'm no longer in the army. I might post a new pic soon :D[​IMG]

    Columbian Red Tail Boas are cute when they are small but wait till he gets to around 9 feet in about 4 years and you are feeding him bunnies that have a blood curdling scream when they die. My buddy had one named Renfield that got to 9'. He got rid of it because he was afraid it would get out and eat his cats. He would call me over when it was time to clean the cage. The poop was bigger than a humans and full of fur. One day it wrapped around my arm so tight my hand turned blue and I had to hold his head under water for several minutes til he let go. He bit the side of the cage once and got stuck with his mouth wide open revealing massive teeth. Beautiful animals that take a special type of person to care for them long term.

    It's not my own snake ;) this was during college. It's also forbidden by law here in Sweden to feed living animals to your pets. Feeding them living insects is the only exception.

    It's nice to hear there's still a country with sane laws. Here in the Netherlands you can feed anything to your snake, birds, mice, whatever you want if you can buy it you can use it for food.

    Florida is being over run by pythons that are decimating wildlife and eating peoples cats and dogs. Some of these things exceed 17 feet long and are capable of eating a small child. Invasive species are a nightmare around the world. Guam has the brown tree snake that has eaten every bird in Guam. Australia has rabbits and the cane toad. USA has pythons, nutria, tiger mussels, all kinds of horrible fish, fire ants and killer bees.

    When the nutria first became a problem the US government declared it "good eatin." When blackbirds became a problem in China the Chinese government declared them "good eatin." If the brown tree snake ever gets loose in Hawaii you can bet your ass it will be declared "good eatin."
