As for the Wiki, I agree, the graffiti images were very hard to read. With the curve that was on them, it made it seem like they were all uneven and not the same size. TBH I can read hieroglyphics much better lol.

As for the contacts, I agree with Zsoka. Perhaps you can add what they are admin of too like: l4d2, dayZ, etc. I know there is a thread for that already, but nobody wants to search for it. And I'm sure no one wants to pm a l4d2 admin and ask about DayZ lol.

 

Good points and still getting input excellent. Now getting back to topic please keep sending the bugs you guys find and we will handle them.

What curve? People honestly found this hard to read? Wow ok lol, i didnt mean to offend your attempt steph, i appreciate all the work you've done with the wiki but i shall probably replace those images at some point (and yes, ill make sure no one has a hard time reading them...)

Images can always be replaced. It don't take long at all . If you plan on remaking them can you at least try to match the forum skin a bit? The image set up now was temp anyways, cause it don't match the forum skin.
On the forum thread the Graffiti is easier to read, but on the wiki the transparency of the background section is very high, probably 90%, so your images melted into it, making it hard to read. Hope you understand what I'm saying. Maybe if you used the style of the mg banner "Marvelous" text it would be sexy and look cohesive. Hopefully you have that psd file laying around though lol. No hard feelings I hope


Back on track to forum bugs:
You cannot upload Gallery images on your personal profile.
You cannot manage your thread attachments.

 

No hard feelings Yea i know what your saying but those links were designed to overlap the main site theme (which they originally were until the wiki homepage got messed up) not a white background. How they look in my post on the forum was originally how they looked on the wiki, did people find them hard to read BEFORE the wiki got reverted to the default white skin i wonder? because i never heard any complaints lol, i do still have the psd's but either way ill change them i guess

 

I guess it was fine on the old white wiki. But when the site was updated, the wiki was redirected and embedded into the forum skin which is probably why it was hard to read (I do like that the wiki is now within the mg site). All the changes done within the wiki pages were made without the use of wiki tools, made to match and tie into the sites background image. It would all have to be re-edited if everyone wanted the old white layout back. Just think, you can put your creative juices to work when you get bored to fix the contents page

 

Lol no i think you misunderstood, they were originally designed to fit WITH the embedded wiki, NOT with the old default white wiki, i never even noticed it got reverted to the default wiki skin until luke mentioned it so i dont know how mine looked with the white background but it seems someone has fixed it now anyway thankfully, your images actually look alright tbh steph, they'll work fine for now until like you said, i get bored and make some more lol

I see the font has changed... I liked davzee's font, I see no need for it to get changed. I could read it just fine.

Ahm, sir, I had explained in the admin section how to access the formatting tools. Nothing was removed. Moreover, you have to "shove 'mgftw' as some skin into the mail server" in order for it to even display. I have no idea what you are talking about Hehe, if you don't have the skin folder inside the server, the wiki won't be able to access it.

Anyway, thanks erik (or whoever fixed the wiki) for your work. Wiki looks fine now.

 

Ya I think I read that wrong, sorry lol.
The wiki was only reverted to the white default because there were problems with uploading images. The image uploader was giving errors and trying to force them into a main folder which resulted in the images not being uploaded. The problem is fixed now, that's why the mg skin is back on

You have good eyes lol. But it wasn't that easy to read. Now don't get all mad at me, heck, I don't even care for the set that's up now, but you can read it just fine, even though it may be ugly lol. But like I said, it was just temp until something better was done, and I'm sure Davzee will do it.


Davzee, you can always make a few different example images and post the images on the bottom of the wiki, then make a poll for the community to vote for. This way, people will have a voice in which they prefer and can read the best. Then no one can complain because they should of voted lol.

I hope everything is all cleared up now so we can move on to the main topic of this thread before Marie hits us with something hard and sharp lol.

 

meh i think a polls a bit much for some wiki link images lol, the ones you did can stay for now until i find the time to make some more but when i do get round to it ill make sure to use a font any 10 year old can read lol

 

There's like 2 pages of wiki image talking which I think is a bit much so I don't see a poll for it being too much lol.
