Strange it never did it with me before..

I think that's just you or maybe one of your extensions bro... I just downloaded 18.0.1 and I'm on Win 7 Pro x64 and it works for me:

 

cool new design!
but there are some forum malfunctions:

- Tables cant be assigned to the center position. They are stuck either on the left or right side of the page.

- pictures can't be uploaded from HDD, only from URL.

- special symbols/clan tags appear in question marks again.

 

For the Clan Tags i will fix it asap....

The Rest need Lukes Hand...

Thanks for the bug report. Are these bugs occurring when creating a thread or when posting/replying or both? I created a test topic in the trash section and I was able to upload things fine. As for the tables, I'll check that out now.

can we have a static chatboxfull link, please, so that way peopel who are used to refreshing that way can still do so?

 

Search for the associated VB var in the styles template searcher and you can link it to the vb:for loop for the secondary nav in the new template.

Wasn't even gone for a week, and someone already killed the wiki. Heh.

I would fix it, but sad to say, after I left, the admins who dislike me took the opportunity to keep me out Well I still come back to this forum lol

Nobody hates you. God. And no offense intended here, but you killed the wiki when you removed the ability to upload pictures and removed basic formatting tools. Nothing could be changed or fixed or even updated. And since you're being so critical, I may as well mention that it took a full reversion to even be able to reveal them, as they were utterly inaccessible as it stood.

Just shoving "mgftw" as some skin name into the mail server recklessly rendered any forward-progress inert. Besides, it's merely a skin, we can put it back once the wiki's done.

We're still in the process of restoring basic features to the forum, also, and fixing obvious errors like the double chatbox, image uploading and even a static chatbox link for easy refreshing.

To answer Davzee's question, the graffiti was some incomprehensible font that we couldn't find a replacement or comparable for. People were complaining they couldn't even read the title screen. No admin has time to get the wiki done. We have tusted help that really gave it a MUCH NEEDED makeover in one day. Either way, people need to be able to read it and use it at-a-glance. Iconization was step 1, but obviously the images I used were novice at best.

Before people jump to criticism, it's not like we don't see a changelog, so if these beloved cosmetic topics of debate are truly lost relics or national treasures, we can recover them.

The graffiti font was cool, btw! The gamers who use the wiki just found it to be a bit much. Anyways, they're in the process of getting rid of the messy format of the PR Guide. Example, section 12 and it's five decimal indents-in or whatever. It needs tender loving care. The wiki was already antiquated and in dire need of updating post-PR 1.1.7.2. The "shit" fonts that our helper used, btw, as well as any other color, font or formatting/image changes... they'll be easy-on-the-eyes with the "mgftw" skin when we re-apply it.

To be honest mate i dont appreciate your sarcasm, granted not as much time went into the wiki links as the rest of the site design but never the less time did go into them so next time you or your helper decide to change something like that how about you let me know first? K thanks. I also find it hard to believe people had trouble reading them, really? It wasnt like they were wrote in hieroglyphics. The wiki paged looked far better before tbh, no offence but next time you want to change the layout of a design I made, ask me to do it.

 

I wasn't saying they were hieroglyphics. I said they were cool and looked cool, but for at-a-glance gamers, many of which aren't English-speaking as their primary language... it was too much. And yeah, even admins requested something more coherent.

There was no sarcasm directed at you, I simply defended the "new stuff is shit" comment, which was harsh.

You're right, though, I'll ask you in the future for these things.

Did i say kthx? And was the sarcasm my chief complaint? No pal my chief complaint was the fact that you replaced something i made without even asking or telling me lol but its cool, next time just ask and ill do it myself

I'm just gonna contribute to the topic, no bug but some suggestions:

• With those wiki title, they were pretty hard to read maybe space the letters a little bit might help.
• The contact page honestly looks weird with the white table background, maybe a dark gray would look better?
• Is it possible you can put the forum activity on the home page instead of the forum...kind of feels wasted here.
• and media still links to lukes youtube

 

I fixed the Media link. It just loops back to the chatbox. Davzee can edit the button out for now if he wants or link up some other kind of media.
