    Hi all,

Due to administrative (read: financial) reasons we are forced to change IP addresses for our servers. This has to be done before the end of this month.

The old IPs will still be valid until the end of this month. So we will run two instances of most servers and announce the change in-game as well to allow for a transition period, because last time we changed IPs a lot of folks couldn't find our servers anymore and we want to prevent that.

So yes there will be two Asia servers again soon, but please take note that this will only be for a short period of time.

    Thanks for reading!

I can understand the situation where the server ips needed to be changed, still wanted to say thanks for letting us know in advance so we could have time to prepare for the changes.

I'll be sure to let sl8ter know to change the server ip links with his addon so people won't get any problems connecting to the servers when using it :)

why not just create CNAME records and share subdomain with port? no need to remember ips at all.

A CNAME record is just one domain pointing to another domainname.

I think you mean A-records, it's possible yes but most people just connect by IP. I could add A-records for all servers, we've did that in the past but it didn't make our server easier to find for people.

Either way, sourcebans and stats always have up-to-date IP info :)

Would the IP change magicaly make a better ping for EU users on the new Asia server? purty purty please? (j/k) Can't wait until technology renders ping insignificant lol.

I don't think so, the server is in the same data center :)

So I'm working with Voxility to install a server in L.A. with great routing to Asia and decent enough latency for European and Latam players as well, I hope this will be the perfect location.

Delivery times is 3-4 weeks though I'm afraid so we'll have to be a bit patient.

Nice marvel! this'll benefit those EU and American players who may not get the best ping they'd like in ASIA. It'll be a good option for them :)

We can be patient enough so that's all good ^^
