'Hidden Infected' mod

    Double tap left shift not work for me :[, changed 2 keyboard home, tested this days but no luck, is it some solution or key bind???
    When i play inf can only shoot people or kill them with mine.No hunter 4 me ...

    What about a name for this mod? Hidden infected is not the best name I think. Let me know if anyone can think of something better :)

    its a button to walk slowly~ did you bind it to other key maybe?

    yea i checked and walk slowly was changed in other key :] , i put on all keys on default now, will wait today when server is full to test ;]

    yea maybe some part from this guys + something other since is detective game mod

    • the amateur detective (Marple, Jessica Fletcher, Peter Wimsey);
    • the private investigator (Dupin, Holmes, Marlowe, Cross, Spade, Garret & The Dead Man, Poirot, Magnum, Simon & Simon);
    • the police detective (Dalgliesh, Kojak, Morse, Columbo, Frost, Barnaby, Clouseau);
    • the forensic specialists (Scarpetta, Quincy, Cracker, CSI, John Thorndyke);

    Mmmm, I've called it Hidden Infected in my video, I'll leave it as that until we get an actual name cos rendering (10 mins) and uploading (30 mins for 500mb) takes too long!

    Hopefully it renders properly this time.

    some ideas on the HI server..

    yesterday when i joined the server alone, my friend joined after me, it's
    ??? [?²]

    i then (excitedly) explained all the rules to him..
    his only reply was.. does we get something from this server?
    i immediately asked does he meant like experience or something?
    and he answer yes.. maybe we get a gem or something for doing something?
    i then answered.. HC is planning to integrate the HI server so it'll affecting the point reloaded status soon..
    then he was disinterested and goes to the vs server..

    my thought was, if maybe the HI server does give something to the point reloaded status..
    i.e gives 500 or something cash for killing survivor or hidden infected, and the remaining winner gets experience and cash too like when we won the finale stage on the coop server.. that way, i'm sure we can attract more ppl to join this server, mainly maybe the low lvl player who's struggling in the actual vs or coop server.. as in this HI mod, no level was involved.. it was pure reasoning and strategy planning skill..
    and killing skeith early.. lol :trollface:

    oh.. and i'm sure giving rewards will also make the game more serious.. and that's probably a good thing.. as the survivor and the inf will aim for winning the game

    one more thing, just an idea.. dunno if it works greatly.. presently the team chat (shortcut u) was reserved to the dead players.. how about the team chat was exclusively for the infected? so they maybe talking in codes or infected language maybe (aside from growling lol) in this way, infected can communicate and strategize more effectifely, as speaking through the mic or through the general chat is not possible..
    or it's already implemented? lol i just watched crazyrabbit's frag vid :p

    Honorcode, just to fully explain the idea I mentioned earlier. If you're infected and you have purchased the 'hammer', when you throw a molotov at the wooden barricades, the barricades burn constantly until either the survivors spot it and extinguish it or until it burns down. This will mean survivors have to keep checking barricades and will hopefully split them up a touch too. I've seen a few people complain when the inf are outnumbered say 6-1 because the survivors are huddled together.

    yeah, my thought precisely.. it'll give the survivor something to do, keeps them busy and scattering.. instead of staying huddled together waiting for infected player to attack
    because survivor staying together aint used to be like this, when all the player still can't spot c5 drop quite easily an infected can consider to drop c5 undetected into the midst without worrying the survivor noticing the c5 box..

    boy.. if the server's getting more player i think it'll be hillarious because the'll be various player.. the twitchy finger type, or maybe an infected who plays psychological trickery so the survivor starts shooting each other maybe? lol

    hmm.. was playing with 2 players before.. had an idea for infected buy menu..

    how about an attack that can infect survivor so the killed survivor had a percentage of chance to be hidden infected? maybe like 30% chance of turning into hidden infected, or dying instead..

    i was thinking like the taser function, maybe like a poisoned knife so it only works on one survivor, and will be reusable after 3-5 minutes charging.. but the credit requirement should be high.. maybe 3, or 4.. so the inf must first make a killing before they can access this knife..

    this will add a depth in strategy thinking, so the infected can potentially "recruit" a survivor lol..

    lol but idk if they kill a detective or scientist? they can make an infected detective? that's scary >.<

    this is just my idea~ can you make everyone can shoot the barrel?
    because when someone shoot the barrel and they just want to prove they're not inf, it ruined the whole game~ and it sucks when you're the inf and people doing it~ :(

    as we played this game, we become accustomed to paranoia.. accusing ppl to be infected because they are doing nothing :ymmeme:

    edit: and we get so many reasons to be paranoid
    like example..

    i killed poop with a hunter claw when he's in the middle of healing me with medkit
    honorcode telling ppl to look at something.. 3 survivors comes and look.. then he planted a mine right in the middle
    one time, 4 survivors because of paranoia started to kill each other until there's 1 left, and angel took care of the remaining one.. lol

    had time to think more about the title and the most fitting name for this....The Usual Suspects!

    some changes are needed for the infected to make it more exciting.

    Mines need to be more stealthy...its way to easy to spot someone dropping them, and simply avoid them.
    the knife must do one hit kill...being in groups, not knowing how someone suddenly died...oh who to blame...
    C5 should be improved a bit...the more people standing within its radius the quicker the countdown gets! (stop camping!)
    detective and scientist... they sound good but the moment we know who they are, everyone doubt about those players is gone. They become the "safe people", not good.
    everyone should doubt everyone, and be paranoid. If we must have a "trusted" person, let it be only one person. Having two trusted people would not work with less people since it just narrows it down who may be infected.

    more stealthy things for the infected would be great.

    im always killed but game mode is nice, needs somethign to force survivors split, an idea could be.. increase barricades number and make the infected damage em, so team must split to repair em or something.
