i probably just want add input for some strategies, to fight shaman/knight (if in the level have minigun/turret(s) in it)

    u can mount into minigun/turret,
it will distract sight of every tank(bot) to chase you,
then when the tank(s) get close,
    u can release the minigun,
    and so on ....,
    the tank got confused lol

    sry for my bad eng.

if that's the case then the best weapon for a tank is a weapon with very fast firing rate and low recoil that makes sure most bullets hit the target even from a distance, like the silenced uzi, since you need to get close with a shotgun.

    combine this:
get closer to the tank+shotgun spammm fire+moustachio bless+fast reload&firing skill, it should do the most damages for para/knight/shaman. But u need to be carefull.

Thanks machete and zipper for your suggestions. I believe I've I forgot to mention the recoil factor and the risks of using shotguns. I'll add that in, as well as my opinions on the usage of a mounted minigun / heavy MG.

Also, some errors with the shaman/supreme shaman skills have been edited.

  6. I'm not sure if you put it up already but shooting a witch with explosive rounds will cause it to be knocked back, you can keep timing explosive rounds at the witch to keep her stunned and she will dance around like a retard, so do use this window of time to allow your team mates to kill her.

Also, the difference between all the shotguns is the Chrome shotgun fires 8 pellets whilst the Pump shotgun fires 10 pellets, and the Auto shotgun fires 11 pellets while the SPAS shotgun fires 9 pellets. So if you do want to use a shotgun against a special tank the Auto shotgun is the best choice. And if you have maxed out your bullet-capacity skill and would like to know a extremely fast way to reload your shotgun, here's how.

When you are reloading, keep your clip as close to 9 as possible, as if you do you only need to put in one shell and it gives you 4 free, thus skipping the reload animation by a considerable amount.

Thanks Neried for your input! I forgot about the explosive ammo effect on witches too. As a matter of fact this also works in the vanilla L4D2; any hit on the witch via a explosive round of high enough caliber (note that some explosive rounds, in particular all SMG explosive rounds, do not knockback the witch) OR a headshot from an AK47, any Sniper, or even a Magnum Pistol will stumble and temporarily stun the witch, making it vulnerable. The witch can be kept in perpetual stumbling mode by continually shoving (mouse2) it after the initial knockback; however, should one stop shoving it will resume its normal attacking mode within a few seconds.

And the shotgun reload tactic is genius.

Lastly, I don't think I'll be making an effort to update this thread any more seeing that Honorcode has been making changes to the config. As of now (02/01/13) it seems that only Asia Coop still retains the config that this info thread is relevant to...
