Coop Configuration Vote

    New config. But few things from the old one such as faster revive and heal speed. :)

    Maybe it is a good idea to get the new config, but restore heal and revival speed. Also the molotov problem could be solved a little by disabling the buying of molotovs, but don't enable object damage. When we enable object damage you can take damage from fire but also from cars that are hit by tanks. Many tanks spawn in COOP so that could be quite a funbreaker imo.

    If we can't buy mollies, isn't the farming problem solved for the biggest part? I mean, fire damage enabled is something different then the ability of farming right?

    Totally agree with cry, also I'm still taking the same stand as what I mentioned in "No this is not a rant thread". Indeed, fire damage enabled won't stop farming entirely.

    With reference to what marvel posted, I think that the amount of SI should be managed such that any chronic farmer who tries to stay in the same place for more than 1 minute holding everybody up [e.g. outside of safe rooms, or just before finale areas] will end up finding that there are no more SI for him to kill. Another scenario; in the event of rushers, more SI can be spawned to slow them down, allowing the rest of the team [typically lower lvls] to catch up, thus promoting more teamwork.

    Either Procrastination's suggestion on FF penalty reduction, or increasing FF resistance through Iron Skin. Even a balance of both.

    And to add on to Machete's post, I think that paranoia tank rewards should be increased. It makes no sense for a paranoia tank to be given the same rewards as a normal tank given that its much more irritating to kill.

    COOP CONFIGURATION ISSUE:

    If x% of gamers are > level 50, every finale tank is a Paranoia Tank.

    I implore you to change this.

    The gamers don't like it, don't think it's fun, I don't think it's fun, and neither does anyone who I've asked.

    At risk of sounding "grumpy," this is a bad idea.

    I made it like this because everyone was whining on how easy tanks are. Guess you all are never happy lol. I agree anyway, is pretty annoying. I'll revert it ASAP.

    It is not that we are never happy, Let's split up our community in 50/50 for this situation. One half wants the new config, and the other half wants the old config. What the dutch government says at that time is:

    This is not true. Actually you are making nobody happy, because one half wants one thing, and the other half wants something else. By taking the middle you don't take any of these.

    The point is: we as community need to make concessions. We cannot have everything we want perfectly built. Simply because somebody else would prefer to have it otherwise. That is the reason why it is so hard for you and the other devs to decide which things will change and which not. There are always people whining about things that changed because there is always somebody that does not like it or doesn't agree with it. The only thing we as community can do is give our opinion! :)

    I'd like to post a quick bug with the testing on EU. It seems whenever someone attacks a Witch (Poisonous ones especially) & the Witch either kills or incapacitates you, it takes Cash, XP & Bounty off of getting yourself either Incapacitated or killed. I dunno if this is mean't to be deliberate but it's excessively annoying especially for people who have to do the Quest "Prove It" when you have to eliminate 8 Poisonous Witches, you end up losing more XP/Cash progressing through that Quest than you end up getting at the end of it.

    I'd just like to point this out as on several occasions it has happened to me when I've tried to kill a Witch & when I get incapacitated I lose XP/Cash/Bounty for apparently killing another Survivor which probably means myself. It's a strange bug but I wanted it to be heard so ya'll know. Take it easy fellas! :yo:
     
  8. there some stuff that i like of the old and the new. i love the fact that in the new vet works, and that theres allot more si but i dont like the fact that ff is on cause some douchebags can spam killing when no admins is on. the thing about fire i really dont care but the reviving and healing was better at the level it normally was.about tanks, it was better before when there was a bit more tanks cause now its too rare to get a super tank.

    p.s. please make the parano give more xp and points from the normal tanks so people can rejoice of killing a tank with no melee or fire.

    dosnt stop molotov it now just kills more people a lot faster so the donors just run through and molotov leaving the rest stuck behind. and if you dont run with the rushers there are zero zombies. where have all the zombies gone?

    keep the old version make si and tanks harder to kill but dont increase there damage i would say bring it down for some as they kill pretty fast that way people will get a much better fight instead of just running through the maps.

    new version sucks ass end of discussion. :)

    I'm sure most would disagree with me but I had more fun in the coop server with FF off. I agree with trying to fix spamming mollies but I also dont like that they are 40 bounty or whatever they are now. maybe just make mollies 12 bounty but limit each player to 2 per map. shooting the witch should slow her down as she is running after you. its too easy to get posioned right now especially if you werent the one that startled her and arent expecting it. shouldnt be punished because some smartass wants to shoot every witch they see and not worry about consequences.

    FF off makes for faster paced gameplay, yes, but it also is hurting new players who dont have as much health or other uprgrades. youve already implemented anti rushing measures i dont see the need for FF to remain on. when my teammate has a jockey on them i like to be able to blast them in the face with an auto shotty to kill it

    Keep the new changes as they seem harder.

    Plus having time to think things over, PR needs competition. Easiest way to do that is make it easier for people higher up the food chain to lose levels. May seem like a bad idea at first, but if you think about it, it stops there being a clusterfuck of high levels at one end of the spectrum who just have a fine little time owning everything. It creates competition between high levels. Don't get me confused, a level 5 player is still competing with a level 200 player. Yet now the level 200 player is competing with everyone else just as much as the level 5.

    What troubled me the most with PR is the fact that people will just want more and more. "Hey guize! I got this new skill - it gives me 400% more speed whilst on pills! Can't wait to get another 400% boost with the upgraded version!" Before you know it, 20 people are whizzing about faster than a gazelle.
    Normalize skills and upgrades. I.e, try to make upgrades have less impact on gameplay. Sure people will complain, but in the end, they get more levels and more perks to compete for. Isn't that what they want?

    Something that I urge you to test out is how players do without the option to buy anything. This will show you what players need in terms of upgrades to function well.
    Furthermore, a side note, remove the scrambler. Totally. Instead, calculate on what team the player goes on connect. Disable team switching completely! This way people stay on one team and don't switch. Competition and camaraderie thrives.

    Guild wars were a shortcut to solve problems. People were happy with what guild wars offered. I for one, wasn't happy with guild wars. The fundamental flaw in guild wars was that people would keep benefiting. Losing some guild benefits should be at stake when playing guild wars not exponentially increasing them. So that problem needs to be fixed before guild wars becomes a thing.

    In the meantime, create a different game mod. Yeah that's right. I'm sure most of you have heard of Hunter Games. Create something like that. Something fun. Something that players would want to play as a casual experience on MG. Hunter tag was such a cool, fun idea. But this time make it so that other developers can contribute too. No one likes closed code - that's why Confogl is so good.
    I personally think a rewrite of the Hunter Games will be fun and can even be incorporated with PR (all skills can be used from PR into it). Ugh, what I'm really trying to say is that there is nothing unique out there... Do something about it :)
