Yeah the game hates me, there was a litle area in rock hill, and i standed there, and my screen started shaking suddently (due bugged spot), and then my bone broke and i was stuck, and 3 seconds later i died with -74000 blood.. Then i respawned and was about to rush to my body, but obviously it spawned between kamenka and komarov for 10 times, so my body disappeared during that time. i lost Best backbag, 2 epi pens, 5 bloodbags, 3 morphines, map, GPS, clock, compass, toolbox, tinderbox, hatchet, hunting knife, and tons of other stuff and epic weapons I would be fine of getting shot by sniper, but to die due bug, sucks. Then i tested it again, and went to exact same spot, and yes, the shaking happend, my bones broke, and i died again. So dont go to hills near west of kamyshovo. It's instant dead. that place is just near road next to train line.
i've died 5 times by a tree. 2 times by getting into a car which exploded, and when running back car was still there 100% lol its fun playing alpha lol
Better than spawning and suddenly dead... happened to me, lost alice back, 4bloodbags, 3 morhpines, map, compass, m4a3, g17, and lots of stuff. I learned not top be attached to my loots, and all is fine =)
I'm still alive, altough i was testing 1.7.2.1 last night. I'm pretty amazed they run into so many trouble every time they release something.
Normal release cycle for software is alpha > beta > release candidate > final version 1.0. With DayZ release cycle is alpha > alpha test > pre-alpha > proof of concept, so they go in the wrong direction. Instead of improving, DayZ seems to get worse with every patch and with every patch everything goes down, the forum, the hive, the servers. With the next patch the entire world wide web will probably go down for a few days together with the global electricity network until they release a hotfix. DayZ is a great game, too bad the devs together with the rest of the people at the top are a bunch of amateurs.
Heh, i agree. even though i hate the bugs, the game is still best as there is no similar ones to compare it with yet .. xD
Maybe if they listened to their players, it wouldn't be getting worse I put in one simple request/suggestion to be mocked at? Hehe, hell no. They messed with the wrong guy.
sounds like the Devs can't play like the big boys ... maybe someday someone better will start something better than day-z
That is just a matter of time. The problem atm is that the new login procedure generates too much load. I hear some folks saying that everyone connects to a server with DayZ installed on it and that particular server connects to a single database system... I tested with some people the 1.7.2.1 patch but get ready: nothing has been changed/updated. Still: - Ammo clip full/empty on D/C - Zombies can see trough walls - duplicate bug - people can spam wirefence - zombies can walk trough wire fence - debugforest issue still remains (lost all my gear last night aswell as stefeman) - etc. etc. They just can't seem to resolve their bugs which is pretty amazing? Seems to me that they lack the skill of coding a game properly. Just a matter of time that a big manufacturer gets it's eyes on the whole Zombie/Sandbox idea and creates this game in just a few months, while DayZ still is in the middle of processing bugs..
That's why we run slave databases, because connecting all servers over the world to one central master database over long distances will slow down the game a lot. We did this in the past where it took almost 2 minutes for your data to load from the master server, with a slave database it loads instantly And we run Linux with direct database connections, they run a Windows hive which connects to the master database. They probably need some kind of super computer or mega cluster to handle all those connections, it's undoable
Anyone else finding it hard to find items outside the cities?? I have the DayzDB loot map open in game and I go to a building with Medium Industrial Density and it has NOTHING in it. In the previous version, this building would always have something decent in it. I searched 10-15 houses in several places around Cherno and found nothing. The exception was some decent stuff inside one house (backpack, flares, bandages, painkillers) just on the outskirts of Cherno. Is this something they did to keep you near the cities? All the buildings I searched outside of Cherno were empty, when in the last version you were bound to find at least a bandage or something. Found 4 hatchets inside 1 barn!! I think I read somewhere that they were making it so items were more specific to the building types. ie: barns had a lot more chances of hatchets and rifles. But to wander in to a small village and find 4-5 buildings that should have things inside and find nothing, really makes it hard to survive the further you are from the cities. Being that I can't join you guys on the server (bad ping), I tend to play alone and need to stay clear of the cities. I hope they revert this so there's more items when you're away from the city.
Hmm... How come all the buildings look the same? No matter where you go, the building models are the same...
