New job, new responsibilities, absolutely no time for playing now so I've left the guild.
I encouraged my little brother to play L4D@EOP but he is torturing my PC with other games,
so let my spot at EOP be useful to someone else.

You might need to add me to the list later on as I'm getting pretty bored of CO-OP and no one is ever in PR-VS... Unless Erik or some other admin is on then it's much funner. Need some more people in PR-VS but with the bugs it's pretty hard to play. Wish there were people in general (not just from this clan [?

 

It's unfortunate to read that we're losing a veteran member. On the other hand it's very pleasant to know you found a challenging job which lets you progress in real life. I truly enjoyed having you in the clan and I think I'm speaking for everybody here. If you ever feel the need to come back, you're welcome! Best wishes and take care of yourself!

These were three epic gamers and it sucks to not have them around.

Abstract announced to come back when he got his new (own) PC after solving his job problems. Ka has some school stuff to do and meanwhile he has no access to his computer.

The last time I talked to Jimmy Gibbs was shortly after he joined the clan. He said that he plays only sporadically depending on his school situation, and that there is a possibility that he'd be offline for many months. I assume this time has now come.

Many of the changes are for the sake of a fairer gameplay experience. The Admins first have to test and try out this giant new PR-VS update and implement adjustments and improvements gradually. Permanently reconsidering and re-engineering everything that they have changed. This is one hell of a job! The voice of the community should be heard BEFORE changing game elements.

And in this point I agree with you: Before making major changes, there should be polls or similar ways on the forum to involve the customers. I can imagine you and many others feel shorttaken.

First of all, we are a VERSUS clan. I always disliked COOP and never encouraged anyone to play COOP because it's boring if you are used to action packed VERSUS sessions with high level players. If you see me on COOP, most likely I'm only there to get special items from quests and that's it.

Concerning VERSUS, loads of bugs have to be fixed (especially frequent server crashes) and the skills/upgrades/buffs adjusted. That's something my friends are complaining about and it annoys me as well. But you must see that it will take quite some time and effort to repair all this and moreover it's summertime and most people are frolicking in the sunny weather.

We still have many experienced players on the servers, but frequent server crashes make all players quit.

All in all I blame the bugs for everything.

When the most critical bugs are fixed, there will be a new clan event. And looking into the future we might have clan wars.

 

Well I come back because of the changes in May, good upgrades (even though they screw up the spitter back then), they remove the 4 player limit wich was THE downside of boosters and HD was online, so i bought boosters (many) and now we got less players and it would be a mistake to blame the ddos attacks for that fact. And polls are not always useful, I dont care what a coop player feels about the changes in VS because they dont play as much as me. And fixing should be a priority instead of making crappy changes. But wth I can always find something else to do until someone else take control of the path to follow in the changes area.

And YOU, coop sucks since everyone rush and instead of more SI you get super over powered SI that kill you in seconds even if u are 215 and that's stupid. And no more random knight an shaman tanks in coop :S and because of this, its not fun or exp/cash redituable for high lvl players anymore.

 

Duncan, I want to address your very valid concerns one-by-one, with some actual dialogue involved. A Member Guild thread isn't the place to do it, and not everyone will read it. There is also the inevitable "getting off-topic" cuz it is a Member Guild thread. Some of these things are so important, though, some sort of answers need to come in this reply.

I am not 100% sure if you're pro or anti-4-player-requirement, but I wanted to make the reasons behind re-instituting it clear...

- The [PR] 4-player minumum; we had players abusing this all day, all night, every day, every night. There was always a server w/ 1 guy farming on it... or encouraging others to engage in the COUNTLESS exploits possible, shill-rep-raising, etc.

- HD? Well, without playing "who said and did what to whom," I will say that the concerns behind the outrageously-lavishly-extravagant payout (and duration of event server running) were known among the senior admins; a lot of stuff was happening at the time and it simply didn't get heard until it was already a huge issue.

- COOP-wise, regarding tank spawns... they spawn again randomly. I personally removed the ability for them to spawn randomly. Just believe me when I say there were very, very good reasons at the time (too many occurring in all-day, 4-to-5 hour events, sniper damage making them killable in 3-4 minutes each, etc... Many more reasons than that.) The Tank Lure Buff makes this possible.

- COOP-related things are so multi-faceted, I won't go into that here. The biggest issues with COOP right now are also arguable. Me, personally, I think that it's two or three things that I'd be happy to explain to you, but this isn't the place.

- It CAN and IS still fun for high-level players. Pop back in, and send me a message when you're ready to discuss all this.

I don't really care about the fact that he likes to play against the bots, but it kind of make vs awards a joke. And hes not a bad player, so it's a shame that he choses to do this (maybe to raise his stats) instead of the joy of kill us instead.
