How to level up quicker.

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forums and relatively new to L4D2. I've been playing a lot on your servers and have a few questions:

I want to know how I can level up faster. I think I started to play on your coop server (EU) about 10 days ago; I'm currently at level 45. Can someone explain to me how booster packages work? I'm interested in buying the x4 package for $7.50. Does it really help? What else can I do? -- I've been trying to complete quests as well. I like to be in the lead, but I seem to lose a lot of health. I'll take any advice that will help me become a better player. Thanks in advance.

 

I try to help kill the tanks; I try to help other in the back, but I'm too weak. I end up dying almost instantly -- reason why I want to get stronger quicker. I play on the normal server

 

Well your going in the right direction of levelling up quicker .. Play only on coop, buy the booster (whichever you can afford because they do help..) Try to get the negotiator buff which costs 100 gems and you will be able to buy things for 25% discount from the buy menu ..

 

What buff do you suggest? And what skills should I get to enhance? What buffs and skills should I absolutely have in your option.

 

Must have buffs: Crawling, Knife, Hidden Magnum (arguable), Pummel Incapp
Must have Upgrades: All survivor upgrades, all upgrades for infected which increase damage and health
Must have skills: Sticky Goo, Drag and Move, Humpy Jump

 

If you wanna lvl up fast if u can afford it go for the 10x package the 2x helped me alot and I just got a 5x and will try outtonight but welcome to mg

 

If you wanna lv up faster, get up to lv 50, get unstoppable with the immune to fire upgrade in survivors section, go to extreme coop and spam molos. For me, that's the fastest way I lv'd. I did it old school style without boosters / anything related to make lvling faster

 

but make sure your actually moving and actively trying to progress through the map otherwise thats farming, staying in one position and spamming molees is farming which will lead to a ban but yea that being said your best bet is to use the extreme co op servers to level up, i did it without any boosters/packages aswel and i gotta tell you once you reach level 100-110+ it takes forever to level up so id advise making that booster purchase if you really wanna progress faster, it will help a lot.

 

Thanks guys for all your in sights! I'll definitely do the molo strategy -- 4 more level to get the fire immunity!

 

Best strategy for the low levels is to get fire immunity and play with the big boys (high levels) on coop because they will give u good exp from charity unless someone is a tight git who doesn't share much of his exp because he doesn't want to upgrade his charity O-)

 

1. Try your best to stay alive when a tank is around. Gives you a good chance to get early gems.
2. Isn't the level requirement for unstoppable lowered? Whatever the case, it's a must have.
3. Buffs: Crawling, knife and adrenaline run would help keep you alive.
4. It would be very handy to have at least one level of the self-revive skill.
5. Quests are a great way to get points and experience. Some also give gems so try to do them.
6. Headshots only if you plan to play on coop extreme servers. otherwise always have a melee weapon. Btw, spitters seem to be bullet proof.
7. If playing on vs servers, try to always go after high-leveled players. even just using your infected attack on them or killing the infected they use give relatively large amounts of experience.

That should be all...

hahaha I'm going to buy the x4 later on today. It will probably help a lot. I got the fire immunity thing at level 46 for some reason. Does anybody know if this is a glitch or something? Could have been a toaster. IDK

 

Yeah it was most likely a toaster if you're still not at 50 and you got unstoppable.

Lol its expensive. I still have Other skills to upgrade lol ill get to it eventually and i have charity!!

 

Where can I find Pummel Incapp? is it for infected or survivor?

 

Its for the charger,so for the infected.
It allowes you to charge incapped survivors,areally nice buff!

 

man ... worth it anymore you buy booster x5 or x10 if you want to go .. in one month with the booster x10 playing much you can reach level 150 xD. good luck
