Hardcore Custom COOP: Information and Downloads

    Fixed it I think, it looked like, for whatever reason, the Indiana campaign has 4 maps hooked up into the campaign list, but only the first 3 are used. The last map is just the first 3 but with no zombies, so I changed the map changer to use the 3rd map instead.

    Yeah, same here Adward, I managed to get all 4 custom campaigns downloaded in under 15 mins. gg with my fast internet :D

    So what do you guys think? I think only The Hive seems kind of worth it, the other 3 can be ditched and we can test some others?

    Haven't played The Hive Custom Campaign yet. Agreed with atlas though, the 3 other custom campaigns can be gotten rid of.

    When you said that about the White Forest Addon. Let's give this addon a test? Would be quite interested to have the players play it on the Custom COOP server for themselves. Btw I forgot to mention that in the 2nd map of the custom campaign the tank itself has a custom skin associated with the map itself. Though im sure it won't affect the special tanks there much. :P

    found an additional Custom Campaign in addition to White Forest that could be quite interesting in giving a look at. There are 2 versions though so you can only obviously choose one to keep for consideration as an idea and the other one to forget about.

    First Version
    Dam it: Buried by the flood | Download Size: 95 MB

    1st map
    - before reaching the saferoom inside a house, within the area before it you will get a horde called every x distance you are within the saferoom.

    2nd map
    - when you go up the hill after a campsite area, a plane flies in and does a fire bomb attack on the forest place. This causes invisible fire to appear (you wont see it) where going into the affected area after a few seconds pass causes 5 HP/s until the effect wears off a short time later.
    - With the event, you got to go activate a generator at the top of a hill. Then you activate a button at the top floor a nearby tower with hordes coming at you from above the trench of the hill. Like with the first map you will get a horde approaching every few seconds for about a minute or so.

    3rd map (finale map)
    - With the barricades inside an hydrodam powerhouse place, you shoot them and then defend against horde after horde with each horde approaching every few seconds like with the 2nd event of the campaign. It takes some time for the barricade to show up as having been fully burnt, and until it happens invisible fire appears there. Touching the area around where the fire is in a very small radius causes 5 HP/s until the invisible fire clears.
    - Another event before the finale is when you have to rush for the metal door. For the survivors, they have to avoid being blocked off by 2 metal doors that closely close in on the area. If survivors are blocked off from the inside without being outside the area that is blocked, they take damage and then after a few seconds instantly die.
    - At the last area before the survivors have escaped the finale, they have to activate 2 buttons to open up the flood gates. Activating each button will bring in a tank that the survivors can skip. While the rescue vehicle at the finale is the c130 plane seen in the dead air finale, you don't get the outro cutscene of escaping in it, going in the last flood gate to the last area of the campaign will simply clear the campaign.

    Funny part about this map is that its possible to be karma charged and/or karma bitchslapped down the dam when you have to cross it to get to another elevator from the first one. this results in your death and hilarious laughter from all the other players. This also affects being bitchslapped above the railing and down the dam in the same fashion when you on the top level of the dam.

    Second Version
    Dam It: (Buried by the Flood) [Versus + Survival] | Download Size: 108 MB

    1st map
    - The horde before the house with the end saferoom occurs once you reach the area where it is.

    2nd map
    - When you go up the hill to see that a plane is doing a fire bomb attack, you will no longer be taking 5 HP/s damage for those first few seconds upon immediately going into the area*
    - When your doing the event in the 2nd map, the horde gets called once the generator is activated and before you get to press the button at the tower.

    3rd map
    - With the first event of the map, the barricade that is burning inside the hydrodam place will now only take 40 seconds to clear instead of 2 minutes compared to the other version.
    - You get the clear indication that your going to be needing to run to the metal door to where the elevator is inside before the 3 big metal doors close down on you. Same deal as with the others if you cannot make it in time, you will instantly die within the few seconds after your path is blocked, going to your incap and then your death.
    - the last event before the campaign is cleared is the actual finale. its a gauntlet style one in which you run to an area where getting there means you clear the campaign. same deal as the other version, activating both buttons once each will bring out the tanks with the first one starting the finale and the second one causing the rescue vehicle area to be clearable.

    You might find the second addon much better to conisder over the first due to it also including 2 survival maps and the fact that it has the actual finale instead of the first addon not having one of those things. Still its your call which one you pick to consider as an idea over. I'm all for the second one :D

    i totally agree with you, it's may a bit hard for me to find some good campaigns, your help will be thankfull :)

    yes add White forest. many die hard half-life fans here like me(cries in corner).

    Marvel is it possible to keep the campaigns that never change in the current file and add new files for new updates? I'd hate to re-download 3GB of campaigns again my internet isn't very fast these days..

    Or just update the written list of campaigns so I could download whatever maps I am missing

    you don't have to download 3gb of campaigns over and over again since new campaigns came out, it's just a waste of time, you just have to download new campaigns once by once from gamemaps and you should be free from long waiting :)

    i think i downloaded the whole thing cause i didnt know which new campaigns were added. next time i will ask which ones to download :) thanks Atlas ^^

    Yes I always add the individual zips to the d/l mirrors and the wiki should be up-to-date with the current campaign rotation.

    Alright, so I got tired of having to change the maps manually, and the fact that the map changer isn't working for the new maps for some reason, so I added a new command that works exclusively on the custom server.

    The command is !votefmc or sm_votefmc in console, which will launch a vote to all players to change to the next map. It only works on finales as those are the maps that usually get stuck (and the command makes use of the FMC plugin which only lists finale maps). In order for the vote to pass, at least 50% of the players on the server must vote yes. The vote lasts 30 seconds and there is also a 60 cooldown between votes should one fail.

    This command should also work on any newly added maps as well, assuming they are enterred into the rotation list correctly. It should also work if the map is stuck at the end of the credits and the panel doesn't show, just press 1 to vote yes.

    Speaking of new maps, I've gone ahead and axed Complex Course from the rotation, the map just doesn't work with PR, getting lost in mazes/puzzles isn't fun at all.

    Good that complex Course is out, that map had bugged finale, and just goes to 9 fps since 4th map has a spot where it spawns endless SI CI.

    I don't know if anyone noticed but, 2019 Finale ( which Raz loves it with passion) doesn't seem like server counts it as finale, tanks never drop the blue special toaster which drops 10 other items.

    Yeah none of the new ones do, because they have to be added manually, and I forgot to add them. I was in the midst of working on an automated way of working it out but got busy with making the !votefmc command and deemed it low priority.

    Oh then it isn't a big deal, maybe custom server need more events to it in the weekends to be more populated though, the change map command is actually a life saver. Thanks again for it ^^

    When you mentioned that about the White Forest addon. Wanted to know if you still planned on manually adding it into Custom COOP

    Urban underground 1.2 = darker version of no mercy with LITTLE changes that can't even be mentioned cause they aren't that big deal? why is it here =/
