Every single tentcamp we've put up for the past 5-6 weeks has disappeared.

As the topic says, every camp we've ever set up on NL13 since we started playing there about 6 weeks ago have suddenly started to disappear without reason. As far as i can remember every single camp spot except for one has been around for more than 3-4 weeks. I got coords to all of them if any admin could use them. Items in the tents includes food, medicine, drinks, ammo, weapons and camo for an entire army if all is present.

Last night (15/8/2012) they started to disappear all over the map, regardless of how long theyve been up. We went to one of them and couldnt find it, so today we decided to go and check on all the other camps. First we went to our very basecamp and picked up some stuff for the journey, every spot along the road had been wiped out. No flattened tents, just plain nothing. And when we then at the end of it all decided to go back to the longest surviving camp of them all that we started the journey from just about 45 minutes earlier, that camp was gone aswell.

Sad to say so, but ~6 weeks of pillaging, looting, killing, all is gone. Didnt think it would be so until they released some sort of a standalone. Perhaps this has something to do with the new arma patch? Anyways, the will to play somehow got assraped right now. Please, check this issue up. We cant be the only ones that the camps are disappearing for.

you do know that tents disappear after you died after 2 days orso? also if you dont visit your tents within a few days they disappear too.
all besides that, its a hive thing of Dayz itself. nothing us admins or any other server owner can do about sorry

 

Apparently they do not, I am sorry to say. Me personally put up the very first camp we have had as basecamp since day 1 on NL13, this was as I said about 6 weeks ago. Since then, I have died multiple times. I too read on the DayZ general forums that tents usually disappear when you die but we seemed to be proving otherwise and we were also surprised that they did not disappear. And as I said, we were visiting the camps almost every day. One camp decided to disappear just right after we checked it before we took off to check the other camps last night. So with that said, both the "if you die they disappear" and "check it regularly"-arguments seems to fail. But then again, it is alpha. Everything and nothing is possible.

Im not saying too 100% that this could not be the cause, but 2 days no. And the weird part is that ALL camps, regardless of how "old" they were or which character-ID of mine or others in my crew that had put them up, have started disappearing at the same time. Even other players camps that we knew of has started to disappear. It cannot be just us.

I am not asking for a refund, just for someone to check this up and maybe give us a answer to whats going on. We will probably just have to start over again and make sure that the latest characters we play with always is the last ones to put up new tents and make sure that they move all equipment from previous tents to the new ones. This seems a little bit too much work, even by our standards, but hey - what to do?

Yes the new patch unfortunately has new bugs:

- Some tents are disappearing / not saving
- Some tents are duplicating all items on every server restart
- Vehicles locations are saved but all items in it are gone on server restart
- Helicopter isn't able to be fixed, hull keeps yellow.

It's all in the new 1.7.2.5 version. Unfortunately this means we have to wait for 1.7.2.6 and HOPE they fixed it.

Found an update, someone made a scriptfix for 1.7.2.5 to fix these issues.

I'll keep you updated.

 

Uodate:

We are using a custom hyve script now and it seems that saving inventory in the vehicile works again. Unfortunately we still have issues with tents and vehicle damage.

I've been asking DayZ mods for more information. Will be continued.

 

Thanks for the effort. We have seen a few of our tents going up again, not all. But at least its something. You're doing something right, keep it up and we all will be up & running in no time.
