What's the servers stance on add-ons?

I use alot of add ons when I play but they are all simply re-skins and nothing that would give me an advantage. I have been playing quite happily for a long time with add ons and today I installed a troll face for the molotov and a troll face gas can skin and now I can't join MG servers and I get this message.

CONNECTION BLOCKED: Please remove plug-ins before attempting to connect to a VAC secured Server

This hasn't happened before and I even tried un-ticking the boxes for the two troll face mods and I still get the message.

Any ideas?

Yup this happened to me. You gotta go to your steam library and open it from there, or second option, you right click l4d2 and hit properties, and you type something in there, I forgot haha sorry.

Oh and you deleted me from friends -.-

 

Try running with -insecure mode one? But i don't see why that would work?

 

Yup that's the word. Well I searched online and found a few threads saying that and i gotta say, it did work for me.

 

I resolved it by just deleting the two vpk files that I recently installed and bam it worked lol thanks for the replies

@Stoned You have said this to me before in game about deleting you from friends and I don't recognise your name. I can't remember having anyone named Stoned on my friends list i'm afraid. I add and delete people all the time it's just steam lol so it's nothing personal and I must have done it with good reason. Remember winners don't do drugs. Peace.

Well yours of course, but you give them daily care to grow them the best, lighting, warmth etc. These are just grown wildly in the bush without daily care or the best conditions other than what the outside offers. I'm just saying during the middle of a drought, the plants can get to be enormous even without daily care.

His plants are probably more potent but never underestimate outdoor grows, indoor plants your lucky to get 4-5 ounces at the most, outdoor plants were talking POUNDS if grown properly PER PLANT.....thats a lot of weed. Bush weed sucks though not very potent, it grows all over in India unchecked
