WARNING FORUM BACKUP RESTORED! (FEB 13).

    Hi all, I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I had to restore a forum backup from Feb 13, which means all posts after that date and all new members that registered after that data are now gone.

    First only some aspects of the forum were down but today the entire database was down so I had no choice.

    The good thing is though that everything should work again as before, so chat and steam integration.

    We will be more careful in the future with upgrades to prevent this from happening.

    ya it was the damn Steam integration which crashed the Database. Luke needs to take out that line in the adminCP

    me and him was working on the forum last night and we got most things sorted.

    i take blame for crashing the DB when activating the Steam intergration.

    the Plugin i enabled was:

    still say we need to update it and place the template back over it. so we're sure we have no breach in security

    >_> You guys reverted the whole database for such a thing? Okay, I have got to write a tutorial for this. All you needed to do was define DISABLE_HOOKS 1 in the config.php and lukesteam would be disabled again. The update was completely fine, just lukesteam needed some modification as the vB template hook system changed (again).

    No offence or anything but if it was so simple why didnt you just fix it earlier...you had like a week, surely for such a small thing some time could have been found :?

    I was referring to the database error :) Collector and I had fixed it yesterday, and he enabled my lukesteam plugin, and the fix was to just disable hooks, disable lukesteam plugin, and enable hooks again. That's why you didn't need to go so far as a complete restore.

    But it's okay, we can start fresh again. Besides, it's not his fault that my plugin f***ed up, and it's not my fault that vB decided to suddenly change their plugin template hook structure. And yes, I had a week, but I didn't do anything in that time but study xD
