Useless Upgrades/Buffs that we wasted points on

    So...let's go through a list of upgrades/buffs that cost a lot of points and are completely useless


    • HUNTER HP - 1000hp looks impressive at first...but face it....one good burst from a surv, regardless of where it lands and the hunter is dead
    • HUNTER REPOUNCE - Completely and utterly useless. Jumping off the survivor you have pounced is like trying to jump of a falling bridge while wearing Lead boots that weigh 1000 kilos. you are lucky if it works once ou of 5 tries. Add a group of survivors around you and hell..might as well sit back and wait for them to kill you
    • HEAVY RIPPER - Not even going to comment....it's so lame that once you pounce a surv you have plenty of time to go, make yourself a coffee/tea/snack and come back and you still have to wait 1 hour more for the hunter to factually kill the said survivor.
    • POUNCE EXPERT - Whether you pounce a noob or a high lvl the end result is the same. "xxx has pounced YYY for 0.00 damage over a distance of ZZZ"
    • IRON SKIN - Damage reduction...non existent. Nuff said
    • TONGUE RESISTANCE - Yeah...about that...i can't tell the difference between a smoker that has that upgrade and one that doesn't. They both break as easily....no resistance indicator, no nothing. How do we even tell if the upgrade is there?
    • ANTI GOO - is that thing even working? cause so far, guild or not it's the same thing. No noticeable difference.
    • DETECT - you have a better chance to find Al Quaida's headquarters rather than a jockey on VS....
    • ANGER FIREBALL - 100 hits Chocobo's vajayjay...it's more like 1001 arabian nights and then the hits....95% of the time is worthless

    That is pretty much it...This thread is not meant to be insulting...just posting my observations

    I really enjoyed this comment and lol'd at it.

    Anyway, I believe some of these are not actually working ATM.
     
  3. Jumping off a incaped survivor and onto a survivor coming to save him will give you a few more seconds at least :p

    if you can manage that...mostly you end up pouncing either the same surv you had or right in front of your target....

    the silliest of all... having only 13 slots to equip for over 20 buffs.

    That adds challenge and variety since you need to choose your buffs, and not everyone selects the same 13...

    If they are not working, why not remove it from the menu or inform us so we don't buy them? It seem a complete waste of time and money to buy some think that doesn't work.

    I only have 10 slot? how do you get 13? I pick up buff slot toster, but never pass 10 slot?

    Because when they are fixed, you will just have to buy them again. So might as well keep them.

    Most these things got broken due to updates. if people dont tell us we dont know about it. its not like we test every single buff/skill after each new update. so please tell us when you see something not working and inform us by using Bug report. this way we can solve the issue asap

    hmm Iron skin used to work I believe ... and detect it works once in every 20 maps LOL

    Don't wanna play for hours to unlock a single buffslot to use your hard-earned buffs?

    Buy a buffslot!

    (the max buffslots you can have is 10 per survivor,infected, coop)<--- from store

    A lot of stuff should be cleared out now that the mod has matured and we know what skills/buffs/systems are useful and what are not. There are tons of useless buffs/skills/upgrades in this mod that should just be "standard issue" to players or just outright removed (like Death Bait). I wouldn't mind retaining those Hunter skills/buffs if those hunters were ever worth using in the first place, but as the mod stands now, they're even more useless than in vanilla.

    Buffs like Crawling should also be given to players from the start as new players have it hard enough already. Explaining to them how to use the menu system, how they have to level up just to buy the buff, and then how they need to equip it to make it work is such a long an laborious process that probably scares away many players. I wouldn't mind having the fire immunity skill standard issue as well, as incapping low-level players with fire usually hurts the other teammates more than the low-level player. The mod should encourage new players to jump into the action, not feel they're extremely handicapped because they can't even crawl or walk into the fire caused by spamming molotovs--or conversely, that others are losing points because a level 2 can't stand the heat. I want to help low-level players, not feel burdened by them.

    Why even have the buff-equip system? It used to matter before when there was a single set of buffs for both infected and survivors and it mattered how you distributed your buffs. But now? There are so few buffs even worth using for the specific sides (if they work at all) that for my survivor buffs I don't even have all the slots filled. Many buffs can't even be obtained until higher levels, so being buff-slot limited also seems rare.

    The only logical reason for an equipping system is if you would ever choose to unequip a buff--such as the hidden magnum, or Death Bait (which should be removed anyway). Otherwise, most of these buffs are essentially equipped skills. If the selection of buffs is so poor that there really isn't any decision in choosing one buff over the other, why make them even buffs?
     
  18. Fool if the fireball hits with 1% chance thats a 1% chance per hit Fool.
    In stupid terms, 1 hit has 1% chance of lighting up not 1 / 100 infected = fireball. If you wanna do the math, over 100 tries, each one has a 1% chance. My opinion, makes sense, so take that off your list its actually useful
     
  19. I agree with the part about crawling. I will make it so that it will automatically have the buff equipped. Added to my todo list.

    I would like to throw eye treatment in as well. Does nothing for me unless I'm doing it wrong.
