USA PR versus server - tank abuse by Dragon

So i was playing the first part of Dead Center as a survivor. On my team I had karasume, candlejack, Mr. T and a few others. On the other team we have Dragon. He became the tank and blocked the ledge that needs to be crossed before the elevator. Anyway, i dunno how, but right before he died he healed, so the tank glitched, it kept on reviving and if you got close to meele it, you would fall down. Worst part is that he waited till almost all my team, that was blocked behind him on the ledge got killed and then he decided to go afk....i played as a tank the same part of the campaign but did not block the ledge as dragon did...

not the first time i see a player did that, and actually a few of your team mates does it too.

But yes. dragon should not have done it since he is admin, we will verify with him, he could have a sudden keyboard jam for all i know.. lol, if i was there, i would slay him.. lol

i have seen plenty of this action but nothing was done as either there was no admin or there was admin but did not take any action.

 

Doesnt really sound like abuse to me....theres nothing wrong with him going to the ledge with the tank...thats a perfectly fine strategy, however if the tank glitched when he died he should not of waited to go afk in a place like that, he should of done it instantly or just slayed himself.

Pretty good idea there though honor....sometimes it IS impossible to get to the roof on no mercy even with a decent team while theres 3 tanks and spitters blocking the ladder lol

 

I want to clarify what it happened.

I healed the tank and the control bar said that I lost control of the tank. I was in regeneration mode, and I had the countdown to respwan, so I thought that other player was the tank. When countdown was 0 and i couldn't respawn i realized that I was still the tank.

This is the first time that something like this happened to me. When I have tank and it glitched, I go afk inmediatly. So I apologize for this, but i didn't know that i was still the tank.

 

It's a bit more broad a range then ladders.

It's any area that is a choke point...a glitched tank is still a blocker, even if it can't attack or move...nobody can move through it. That's the problem.

Doorways, the top of a tanker truck, the ledge on no mercy...heck even in front of the safe room door.

I think your best bet is to try and solve the bug rather than work around it. And it is a bug. It should not be allowed even though I'm completely guilty of exploiting it in the past.

 

If he was alive shouldn't be a problem, cause he could get killed, but the tank glitched. So he should go !afk right away.

Are u sure we can't walk through the glitched tank? Cause im not so sure.

 

no syd, you can't..that is the problem and the motion of the tank falling and getting up right away knocks you in an instant...it's no problem if you are on ground lvl, but on ledges...you get thrown off as a survivor.....

 

alright so let me know what the hell happens hmm?

 

you can crawl through but not walk through, in certain situations of course like for example if the tank glitch at the door.

but if tank glitch at the ladder like coldstream finale or no mercy finale, theres no walking or crawling through. your dead for sure unless tanks disappear.

 

I know why the tank glitch, its when you use buy health just after you die

It's definitely a bug. And easily exploitable.
