The solution against the door glitch

  1. well, not sure wheter this is the right forum space to say what i have to, but...

    I understand that, in view to stop the door glitch, the admins have prevented the players from earning experience and points at the end of each map, but the finale.

    I don't really think this should be a permanent solution, for now it's gonna be way harder to level up and upgrade.

    There may be another solution, no?

    One solution to the open door glitch is that once the door is open, it is forced to stay open.

    Honor, can you use IDA and look up an appropriate function + signature? Something like DoorToggled() if it exists or maybe DoorOpened or DoorClosed? I can use a detour and simply use an integer to represent how many times the door was opened/closed and use the Message Pump to allow the passing of the command if the integer = 0. I am sure that can't be done with plugins xD

    Btw, I'm getting IDA :D

    Yes. As a matter of fact, I'm testing the extension now :) What it does is allow the survivors to open the door, but once opened, it cannot be closed again.

    The same signature function can also be used to make a timer door. The door cannot open until all survivors have loaded and 15 sec has passed. I might work on that as soon as I fix this segmentation fault error.

    15-30 second door that prevents bit-i mean bots from rushing out the door and fucking one side for the remainder of one map please.
