Steam - Fix Installer Errors - Error 1316

I had to re-isntall Steam and encountered some annoying ass bizarre messages like

"Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file SteamInstall.msi"

Error 1327 "invalid drive."

These errors have to do with issues, specifically installer-related errors when you run the setup file SteamInstall.msi.

The fix requires a System Restore Point to be created.

"Steam Fix - Installer Errors" scrubbed the system and it worked after that.

Incorrect registry settings for Steam can do this or an outdated version of Windows Installer per the support page. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8483

People shouldn't manually clean their registry, nor should they ever use cleaner products of any kind. It's a self-sustaining entity. This is a link to the Steam Fix-It, kind of an AIO tool like The MS Fixit's.
