Started at level 99??

Hey all I had a question about the levels in the PR server. I played on the Vicious infected server quite frequently and then took a break from l4d2. When I came back I decided to give the PR coop server a try and when I joined it said I was level 99 and I hadnt really played on that server at all if ever. Not even the versus server except for Vicious infected. Where else could I have gained this exp? Is this a glitch or is it possible I leveled up without knowing? I dont mind staying at this level not like I want to get reset or anything just curious.

 

you were probably 1. high at the time while playing pr servers or 2. drunk while playing

 

Agreed non steam accounts sometimes gather true steam information and so some players join the servers and they get someone else s stats.

Also whats your ingame name? Same as your forum account?

 

I'm 99% sure I never played the points server prior to being lvl 99. I never used the control panel or !buy ever. So when I did check I only had 3000 points and all of my skills/upgrades were at zero. So unless someone used every point for the lottery or something I don't get how one gets to lvl 99 with no skills and no points. I have since played about 20 hours and am now level 109. I'm not interested in getting reset but wondering if anyone has seen this.
