Smoker tongue speed bugged?

I have maxed my smoker almost completely now and that includes pulling in survivors faster but for some reason the speed isn't as quick as other smokers i see.

When a smoker pulls me in that is maxed he does it super fast just 2 sec. For me it's like the speed hasn't changed at all it's like it doesn't even recognize that i leveled the skills/upgrades up.

Is this a bug or is there a key to pulling survivors faster?

 

You hold the key of which direction you want to. Or once you grab your target immediately hold down the key in the way you want to go - always works for me.

 

No i don't mean moving around i mean pulling them in faster.

Every smoker still seems to be pulling faster than me and it's annoying because it seems like wasted points when it doesn't pull faster for me it's just the same speed.

I do however move around fast but the tongue speed should be at the same rate.

Something that is more annoying is how people manage to shot my tongue before they even gone anywhere, for other smokers the survivors dont get the chance because it's too fast.

 

Yep, the ability "The Fastest Pull", am I right? Doesn't work for me either.
