Question about poison.

    Hi,

    I would like to know how u get poisoned? People been saying that witch will poison you, but i was playing today and got poison when there was no witch near me at all.

    I would also like to know if there will be a poison shield like the mutation shield.

    There was probably a witch around. There is no cure for the poison yet, but maybe some survivors on the radio can help you out (Quests).

    I was in a small room with another player fighting normal zombies (swamp first map, up stair in a house near the place you call for the boat). There was no witch in there that i can see and my back was against the wall.

    Is is possible that the witch poison attack is an AOE ( area of effect) attack or the attack affect everyone on that character. Then maybe the witch was down stairs.

    Witch attack is an AOE that affects all survivors within 200 units.

    Rochelle's height is around 70 units, so you can calculate.

    slightly off-topic

    Just to add... I got the blackout effect last night for the first time. It was not completely blacked out though, maybe because I have the eye threatment buff?

    correct me if i'm wrong, but here's what i notice about witch poison
    1. If the witch happens to be a poison witch and is startled, the witch will poison people in the range around her. the poisoning does not work on her attack but on her startle. Sooo, no, you can't melee-beatdown her alone and not get poisoned.
    2. With the earlier statement, i assume a safe way to eliminate a witch is startling with a molly THEN beating her to a pulp. Word of caution, a witch that attacks you when you are below 100 health or incapacitated will KILL you. No questions asked. Proven on lvl 1 and 200 alike.
