Points Reloaded Custom COOP server online!

    Yes, it's back online. For now it's running 5 campaigns in COOP mode only!

    - Precint 84 (http://www.l4dmaps.com/mirrors.php?file=9535).
    - City 17 (http://www.l4dmaps.com/mirrors.php?file=5055).
    - Military Industrial Complex (http://www.l4dmaps.com/mirrors.php?file=6562).
    - 2 Evil Eyes (http://www.l4dmaps.com/mirrors.php?file=4634).
    - Heaven can Wait II (http://www.l4dmaps.com/mirrors.php?file=6454).

    The server is using the same vote mechanism as all other servers, so on every final you can vote for the next campaign using !mapvote.

    There is, however, something different you need to do before you can join. Since Valve really f*cked up the VPK system you need to do some additional steps, otherwise it will kick you out on each campaign change because it can't find the game files. That's why I had to extract the VPK files into ordinary maps to get it to work.

    So here are the detailed steps required:

    • Download the VPK's of the above listed campaigns and put them in your addons/ folder

      These are usually located in the following folder:

      C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons.

      Download the VPK zip file, extract it and double click it to install (or manually copy it to the above folder).

    • Download the uncompressed map files from the following location (~300 MB).


      https://mgftw.com/donor/mgftw_customv2.zip

    • Copy the downloaded ZIP file to your left4dead2/left4dead2 folder

      C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\mgftw_customv2.zip

      This will extract all maps to left4dead2/left4dead2/maps.

    • Right click the zip file and choose 'Extract here'.

      You will be needing some kind of unzip tool. WinRAR is recommended (www.rarlab.com).

    • Now you are ready to play!

      Connect to: 85.17.23.165:27015

    Ah wait, I made a mistake. Damn. You only need the BSP map files, you still need the VPK or you will have no sound, hang on fixing it and updating guide.

    These maps where fun but they seem to be very glitchy. As you saw for yourself Marvel :) The map where the players start on a boat and it sinks is defiantly not that great. Lots of pink checkerboards on that map XD I still think Helm's Deep should become a weekly event, lots & lots of fun

    Stuck on the last map on 2 Evil Eyes...

    The chopper never came... I played at the last part for over 20 min... Survival to the last breath... :r so i surrendered and rage quit :horn:

    I'm pretty happy because not everyone can get on the server, they have to come here first to get what's needed.
    On another hand, it's new content for me. I mean, all we do on the other campaigns is No mercy - some other campaign - No mercy - that other same campaign - No mercy - hey look dark carnival - etc etc... It gets old, and I wanted to see something new... but like Bilbo said, there were a few glitches, and at that police car thing, I could never really comprehend why we all couldn't just be at the right car to end it (with white outlines... obviously the end) and half the group was back at the starting point telling us to come to finish... Was that specific guy just stupid or was he just full of himself telling us to go to the wrong place?

    It won't let me connect. I did the whole list of what to do, and when I put in the IP, it says:

    Error! Variable "$blendframes" is multiply defined in material "particle/smoke1/smoke1_add_nearcull"!
