Paranoia Tanks at Versus

    i think after all the nerfing tanks at versus, the paranoia tanks should nerfed too. sure they cant heal, but the dont need. the have vampire buff and regeneration.. every time i fought a paranoia tank (was ca 3 times), we shot him 5 min and he got still full hp..
    rly? they got already 40k health and special skills like no melee/fire dmg. they are really OP. but i think they should be killable.. because that they health bounty for normal tanks was increased but its same case with paranoia tanks.. so just remove vampire/regeneration for paranoia tanks at versus. they are still very hard enemys then but it is atleast a chance of kill them with a good team.

    Maybe disable heal for Paranoid Tanks?

    Because when you're an overpowered tank, you can do a LOT of damage to survivors (incapacitating, killing, multi-damaging), making it easier to get bounty (in the case, 50, for heal).

    buy menu is already disabeld for paranoia tanks. but they are still too OP. everyone who ever faced a fully gemmed paranoia tank know.. u can only shoot em. no prob.. but the other SI dont watch ur try to kill the tank^^ they make ur live to hell :D

    Paranoia tank is a random chance.. not every time u get it..

    so once u get it, make good use of it..

    the normal tank is already weak like "i have no words for it" they die in seconds after a few slash from one or two high level.

    so i find the paranoia tank as a a good way of getting back at the high level survivors..

    i dont see a problem with the paranoia tank.. so again, its all strategy.. fight the tank or run for the saferoom.

    i for one will run when i see paranoia tank.. it cant be hurt by melee or fire, no point fighting it.. and worst when its back up by its SI buddies.. so i will just run for it..

    and how u wanna run when he stand for example no mercy underground in the train?? sure its low chance to get a paranoia but i think the survivor should still get a chance to kill him. or i could say here is a paranoia tank why dont go afk because we cant kill him or walk beside him? better than gettin raped without a chance...

    well, thats IDK for the survivors.. and how often does a paranoia tank stand in the train.. answer would be rarely..

    and going afk as survivors just because you cannot fight the paranoia tank just shows poor gamplay for the players... they are only interested to win but when face with a difficult situation.. they just ragequit to afk.. thats very bad gameplay..

    and yes you do get the chance to kill a paranoia tank.. and thats in coop only.. and that too is run by AI not human players.. human players playing as paranoia tank will definitely kill all the survivor.. and stefeman could do so if he wanted to.. i would if i had control of SMT.. but players would just rage quit if they had to die and play the same chapter all over again in coop again and again.

    ok whats about paranoia tank block a door or something else like that? its annoying that u cant do anything to kill him.
    at coop its different. the tank dont have vampire/regeneration there and the SI arent so evil cuz they are AI.
    it was just a example to go afk. cuz u can stand in front of tank and whole team can shoot all their ammo at him and he still got 40k hp. so u can do it quick and let bots try to kill that end the shit faster.

    I agree with bloodhand.
    Paranoia tanks at currennt state are just impossible to kill as long as the person playing it has at least one finger and one braincell to use it. Guys that have the paranoia buff usualy also have auto aiming rocks, corrosive rocks, vampire, regenaration...

    Normal tanks played by high lvls (with the stuff mentioned above) are dangerous and hard to kill if they know what they are doing. They cannot rush in and kill everyone they see but with tactics they can deal good dmg or at least draw the atention away from the SI.

    Paranoia tanks... yeah, as stated out: Unkillable by a standard versus survivor team (where level ranges from 150 down to 1). And fighting against something I cannot kill is erm... stupid.

    Disable vampire and regenaration and it's fine. Still hard to kill but at least there is a way to kill em.

    Guys, come on, stop complaining....all i have seen in the last couple of months were complains, and the worst part is, the admins gave in and adjusted things towards your complains....Examples:
    • HEAL COST - Bla,bla,bla, 15bounty for heal is to cheap for a tank bla,bla,bla tanks are OP and must be adjusted..and the admins made it 50 bounty. I saw good high lvl tanks being sliced and diced in a matter of seconds by good high lvl players. What's the point of getting a tank if 3 ppl can get rid of it quickly? Now you complain about paranoia? It's not enough for you that they are given randomly and a high lvl has few chances to get it and paranoia is a 5% chance of that....i am not surprised most of the whiners are low lvl....with the risk of Bonekeep telling me i am flaming, i have a few suggestions to satisfy those who complain.

    1. Give the tank a pink dress and flowers..maybe that way you would be happy
    2. Everytime the tank hits a survivor, 3 times the damage it does to that survivor be taken out of the tank's health...maybe that will satisfy your ego.
      • When tank dies, it spawns at least 10 lvl up toasters
    • Spiter - i do not play PR VS to often, but when i do and there is a maxed out spiter, lots of low lvls's start bitching about sticky goo. "OMG..damn spiter in-capped me...it shouldn't be that powerful..bla,bla". Give it a rest...that is the point of high lvl upgrades...what is the point of PR RPG style if there are no upgrades
    *Insert Sarcasm here* Suggestions for spitters that low lvls would like:
    • Sticky goo be transformed in "healing goo" - the more time you spend in it, the more heath you gain
    • Every second you spend in that sticky goo gives you 50 xp and 10 points and 5 bounty

    • JOCKEY - Oh my god..invisi-Jockey...we are toast(er)!!!!
    *Insert Sarcasm here* Suggestions:
    • Keep the Jockey invisible but have a big bright sign above it that says "Jockey here!!!" and flashing arrows pointing at it
    • every second you are ridded by a jockey takes 10 health out of his and adds it to the survivor
    • Upon death of the jockey in the conditions mentioned above, the player that was idden gets a gem/lvl up/1000 points



    *Insert Sarcasm here*just a few suggestions that would make game-play more pleasant for those who keep complaining about SI. you want me to continue? I have more "Fun' suggestions for SI and modifications

    smokke when u dont have a serious argument that is a positive fact for the discussion then pls keep ur mind and dont post such crap here. such posts like urs just ruin the discussion and force moderators to close the thread!
    and i think most ppl agree that the increase heal bounty is a good choice. if u can play as tank u can handle it to get 50 bounty to heal before u die. and the idea of icreasing heal bounty was cuz tanks was too OP and ruined the gameplay. they was unkillable and stop game. like a paranoia do now.
    now they are still very dangerous enemys when the player has tactic and support from team.
    but thats not the fact here it was already discussed in other thread.

    i am not trying to flame anything blood. I am just pointing out some stuff.

    Yeah, the backup works great in close quarters, like the sewer in no mercy, or other choke points wheres survivors's mobility is limited by space. put it in an open space where you can slice/dice for 2 seconds and run and the tank goes down really fast even if there is a spiter spitting under the tank. Sticky goo does not prevent you from melee-ing a tank. In the 3-5 seconds needed for a high lvl survivor to get in-capped he can do at least 2-3k damage to a tank. multiply that by at least 3 survs doing the same and the tank does not stand a chance. Especially when the tank swings so low and takes a long time to throw a rock.

    Give the tank to a lowlie and he really doesn't stand a chance against even 1-2 lvl 120+


    My point is, for a low lvl, that does only 50-60% damage to SI through eagle eye and have 125-150 health and 400-700 in-capped, yeah, tanks are hard to kill... For lvl 100+ it's not that hard really...I wish that paranoia tanks would have a better chance than 5%...like 25-20%

    problem is that 75% of those complaining are low lvl. wait till they go past 100 and you won't hear them complaining bout stuff like that

    I'd rather die killing a tank whether it's paranoia or not than be in the safe-room. It takes away all the fun when you spend 15 mins running to the safe-room and another 1 killing a regular tank....

    Personally, i LOVE fighting para tanks, almost as much as i love fighting SMT tanks. not 2-3 months ago on these servers, myself and bloby, both around lvl 60-70 could take on a single tank alone. not to mention co-op where we could fight off a few high lvl tanks to complete lvls, the para tank represents a good balancer against higher lvls, who can literally mow down a standard tank in seconds via melee

    i think the true bone of contention would be the drops from a para tank which are the same as those of a standard tank. i think making para tanks drop 1 gem no matter what would probably take away everyone's complaints

    reward is the solution to all problems human =D

    but on another tone, i hope that a lvl restrictor can be applied to some of the servers, such as helms + LA co-op. if it is possible, then the para tank spawn rate can be set higher to accomodate the higher lvls and leave the lower lvls mainly standard tanks to fight on the other servers to lvl themselves up to a point where they can do something other than die against a para tank.

    well, as a high level player i already gave my view on this.. the paranoia is fine to me and players should be glad that honorcode decides to give such an ability in versus too.


    i personally do not want to read comments from the low level or new players about paranoia tank.. As they complaint the most being that its unfair and stupid for a low level to fight against a paranoia tank. they also need to know that we high level players usually helps to keep them safe and are the one that usually revive them..

    and i remember it was also the low level and new player that keeps complaining the normal tank are too hard to kill.. and now they have made the normal tanks look like wimps.. he get sliced like mad in seconds..

    also low level and new player tend to complaint the most when they are on the losing side.. but keep mums about it when they are winning..

    and what smokke said was right.. they usually quit whining when they reach 100+ levels.. and then they go with their sarcasm like " I just rape u tank" or " I own u TANK".

    +2 :) its not fun that 3-4 high lvls players in one team most of the time make it to saferoom and others low lvls die behind........i'd also rather die killing a tank then make it to saferoom without much of a challange.when playing as inf u see 3-4 high lvls players rushing to saferoom and u can do nothing but buying tanks to stop them but tanks die in secs if a low lvl gets it against high lvls rushers(and even high lvls tanks does not mean that they r good )
    I think vampire buff and regeneration should be disabled for para tank to make it killable but i am 5n with it bec chances r only 5% of getting para tank and if someone gets it dont wait just rush to saferoom..

    Just a sidenote: Could you please stop bringing up the argument of "low levls are whining and they will stop when they are 100+". In THIS thread all that complain are lvl 100+ . ;)

    All we are asking for is disabling the other possibilities to heal for a paranoia tank. That won't make a paranoia tank weak at all. It can still wipe out a complete survirvor team, even with high lvls. But the high lvls have at least a chance to bring the tank down somehow.

    Maybe it's a problem of experience. On EU servers I have never seen a paranoia tank die at versus. It was allways a complete wipe out for the survivor team. Maybe you have a different experience on the US servers.

    so most level 100+ players are alright with paranoia tank the way it is in versus.

    and doesnt matter which server you go... paranoia tank dont die if gameplay is balance :P

    I don't know how many thousand times I've said this but the servers are usually made in such a way that the infected ARE OP. THAT'S WHY LOTS OF PEOPLE PREFER TO PLAY INFECTED RATHER THAN SURVIVORS, MYSELF INCLUDED.
    Just my point of view.
