no points if too few players???

Hi, I sometimes play around 7am - 8am to wake up in the morning and there's usually not many other players around and I've noticed that sometimes, none of the points/bounty/exp get added on to my score.
is it a bug or is it supposed to be like that?

 

It's normal.

It's an anti-farming prevention system. TBH people just need to read the chat for the auto message or read our rules but no, they still farm and take us for granted.

It sucks for those who don't farm, but you guys can only ever thank the abusers for it. In the meanwhile, you don't need PR to enjoy a round or two do you ? :/

If I may suggest you something : to allow bounties in PR, whatever the number of player is. PR will remain playable, so we can play instead of waiting for hypotetic mates^^'.

The farming problem will be solved, and complaints too

Ah yes - I just thought it was broken so didn't bother staying on, but, for anyone who doesn't know, it seems you need 4 players for the points system to work.
Perhaps, if you made it so that you could only score points/exp/bounty from real players and not bots, then that would solve the farming issues.

 

solution is so simple...when you catch someone farming just reset their stats whether they are high lvl players or donors.If MG were brave enough to do this we wouldn't have this problem.But usually they just ban them for sometime and then 2 hours later lift the ban..just like the 7 ban streak in tank farmers that refused to go to the chopper

 

i think the problem with that solution, is that it's hard to prove if someone is really farming or not - I expect that MG would ban them for a bit as a warning and see if their behaviour improves. I don't think it's a real problem if there's loads of people on the server, as the other players can kick anyone pissing about. I think it's more to do with when there's an empty, or nearly empty, server that people can rack up the points.

 

that's the problem.They just keep on warning people.I've yet to see someone's stats got reset because of excessive farming.(except for low lvls)

 

Banning and resetting stats isn't necessarily always the way to go. It's always based on the gravity of the situation and when an admin intervenes, it's always delicate and people will whine and complain (like that case you mentioned).

With an automatic system, it's absolute and there's nothing subjective about it.

And trust me, there have been stat resets, and it's not because we don't want to take care of this, there's so much farming and so many ways and methods to protest a farming accusation, it gets out of hand easily.

 

Resetting stats is a very drastic measure and will almost never be executed. And it doesnt matter if you are high or low level.

Instead of banning people after farming it is better to prevent farming with technical solutions. That saves us a lot of work.
