No more team scramble?

I've noticed there is no longer a team scramble anymore... I've heard its been disabled?

Anytime over the past few days the games have been so lopsided i've quit... and there are no players willing to switch sides to even it out. Any ideas on if this is temporary or a permanent thing? I dont really know whats happening..

I've definitely stopped playing very quickly each day Ive gone to play due to this... not that I am a low level but that there is no fun playing when its all one sided....

 

Speaking for myself, there is nothing worse than finally getting together a team and then having it scrambled. I don't know much about the PR servers but on the mens servers (VI and Berserker) they self balance as the weaker players jump to the winning side booting valuable players on the winning side. When you get tired of playing with the ladies just come on over with the boys. I have noticed that the ones who jump into the game and immediately call for TS are the same ones who type !cp thinking it is a PR server when there is no !cp in VI. I don't see how you can put up with TS at all. That is the one thing that makes me rage quit faster than anything. We could be losing by 1000 points but we finally have our team and are gonna turn it around then some dickhead jumps into our team and thinks we are gonna lose and calls for TS. Nothing is more satisfying than coming from behind to win and this dickhrad is screwing it up for us. I have seen many times where the losing team feels the same way and boots the idiot who called for the scramble. I can only laugh. Anyhow I think someone must have decided to get rid of that pesky TS flaw on PR servers and I am glad of it, now maybe I will visit more often to play with the ladies.

I noticed this a couple days ago and brought it up but just figured it would be temporary....its still not there? Im not sure if its broken or just been turned off but it will most likely be brought back soon, vulcan PR works slightly differently to VI and Berserker...1000 points behind in VI or berserker and yea its possible to come back with good teamwork and a few rounds....1000 points in PR (without scrambling inbetween) and by the time the maps finished that 1000 points will have doubled or tripled in most cases lol.

A team thats already winning by 1000 points in PR is pretty much guaranteed to win the map (without autoscramble)

 

Yep, PR VS is seriously flawed in the team balance aspect. You jump in as a high level and you have to think of the power shift it causes. I always check teams and try to pick the team that needs me most but most of the times it doesn't really matter as one team is already stacked and will rape the other team.

What bothers me most is because this is a point based game most high levels go along with this for the easy points opportunity it presents. I'm usually the only one to switch and games are more often than not a rush for one team that easily gets to the safe room and insta death at the safe room door for the other team.

This has also been happening much more since the auto scramble has been removed so something obviously needs to be done. Think of the new players who come in and get pulverized in a matter of seconds without even being given the chance to realize what's going on and what the PR system is...

 

Even though sometimes the scramble is questionable, I like the team scramble on PR. If all the high levels/friends decided to stay on their own team and some new people joined the other team not only would they get crushed probably within a minute of leaving the saferoom but it would take time to buy the upgrades they need to survive longer making it even more discouraging to stay on that server.

On the VI however you join you don't need those upgrades and it's easier to play by skill. Antony is a good example of this, whenever he joins he ends up on the loosing team of course and has friends on the winning team. He refuses to switch and has improved so much from carrying his team and fighting us. Now he can always pull off a karma slap and kill me.

Anyway, in Sao Paulo server, sorry to say that but, brazilians act like assholes all time.
The team with low level players keep complaining about how unbalanced teams are, but the most of times the winner team is the one who helps another teammates, and this is what gives more points in the end of round. The loser team is always like:
- Hey guys, I need some help
- fac u newfag loser

The point is, it doesn't depend most of the time if one team have more high-level players than other, the winner team is the one who have real players.

 

I hate to contradict you Haz, but that is not always the case.

Take an example. A few days ago, LA PR VS. One team had 9 lvl 100+(5 of them were 150+, 6 if you count me...i am 145 but went down about 40 lvls due to supreme lottery) players and a noobie. The other team had 3 100+ players, 5 lvl 40 to lvl 80 and 2 newbs.

Guess what happened? They got smashed for 2 campaigns. all request from scramble failed...i voted yes everytime. Then votekick comes in on the losing team..they get smashed again another time. HE quits, comes on our team and starts bitching (I know how you guys make your points and bla, bla)....

Last night i had the misfortune of being on the under lvled team. almost the same situation as the night before. One team was stacking big times, I had only TJ, YOYO and paingiver. The rest were under lvl 50...of course i hated it, bitched and moaned and everything else...but i did not switch.

Overall, the removal of team scramble give you the opportunity to assemble a team that is good for your gameplay. For example, me, TJ, Yoyo, OCeandriver, Tracer, Universal, and a few others have played together long enough to know who has what to do. Until a lvl cap is put on one PR VS server you will always have unbalanced teams.

Going back to my first example. if Team Stacker has at least 3 lvl 160 that have spiters, then on some maps is game over for Team Underdog even before they make it 100 yards from the saferoom. You very well know that advancing through layers of maxed out sticky goo is hard as hell, and impossible if you have a horde blocking you....I have played last night against team Stacker on dead air and on the finale we were biled every 15 seconds.... and the score? team stacker 2000+, Team Underdog 300 something....

 

Real team = helpful players with some decent level.

It's not the level as much as the player.

 

The scramble is definately flawed and seems to always choose to scramble/not scramble at the wrong time. I would like to suggest instead of the automatic team scramble the system puts up a votescramble for the players to decide if it is actually necessary.

 

Gentlemen: Let us not forget the whole purpose of this game is to make money. When I started, there was no scramble, and I got my @$$ kicked constantly. I got tired of losing and decided to invest the time, effort and money into whatever I needed (gems, XP, etc.) to win, because I liked the game. I know not everyone has the money to do as I did, but there are plenty of other servers to play on besides PR which are also fun and are great for leveling up for free.
But more players = more money, and when a bunch of high-levels who do not need to buy anything are on one-sided rapes, it either scares people away or makes them mad enough to want to get better. There is a reason for a store here, for those who wish to get better; otherwise, ignorance is no excuse, not when there is an entire wiki and forum to educate.
I think it makes better business sense to have scramble disabled. If you cannot run with the big dogs stay on the porch. :flock:
