New EU versus server now online for testing!

Hi all,

The new EU Points Reloaded versus server is now online for testing. This server will replace the current one later on.

The IP is: 46.249.43.56:27015 (mgftw.com AMS | Points Ranks & Skills VS)

There are a couple of differences with the current server:

• New hardware, Xeon E3-1270 CPU's, running at 3.4 ghz.
• Minimum client rate has been set to 20000 (was 16000).
• Scripts are installed to give realtime priority to the srcds_linux processes.
• Highly optimized custom linux kernel.

All these changes should give us a less laggy game, however I don't know yet what it will do in terms of stability, so that's why I brought it up already for an initial test.

No pings, just report here if there are any issues, like lags, unstability etc

 

Well it's on 20/20 now, cpu is around 38% which is great. Also, the fps is steady at 30 (L4D2 is limited to 30 fps max). I can see the current EU server lagging from 10 - 30 fps due to the cpu spikes so that problem seems to be solved with this server

 

lol.. the result: both EU VS servers are 20/20.. xD
