Need help picking out a new web host

So currently i am with ezpzhosting and i have been with them for over a year now however i have had a lot of down time and i feel i get way to many emails from them saying there is problems on servers and there down.

Anyway my renewal is next month and i am looking at some alternatives that i could possibly use.

Currently im on there junior package which gives me enough resources to use except maybe i would want to be able to host more than one domain in the future.

123-reg recently released a student hosting offer which is £12 a year but you can only have a max of 150mb database size on there, and i wouldn't like to be restricted on that, also its hosted on windows and not linux. i don't think i have been hosted on windows before but one of my friends said its "ewww" compared to linux.

have any of you got webhosting with anyone and what would you recommend?
Im looking for a fairly cheap one of which i could host 2+ domains on, currently i pay about £16.47 semi-annually (every 6 months)
