Actually i bought it for the singleplayer storyline.. i wanted to know what happens.. i will buy MW4 also, since i wish to know what happens to Captain Price =/ he's been my fav character since i was 14-15 lol. ..I won't forgive them if Price dies in the next game

punkbuster dosent mean that the server is cheater proof.. i used to hack with private hacks in PB servers at MW1

 

I dont encourage you to hack, i'll just tell some facts to you.

The difference between public and private hacks.

Private: You have a third party client (trojan horse/downloader), which is provided by the author or group, you load the injection code via the client from their servers to your RAM memory or pagefile, and the client applies/injects it onto the ".exe". Nothing is shown to the user, and you cannot read the injection code as it's encrypted to the end user nor you can seperate it from the exe after injection. only way erase it from your RAM, is to close the ".exe" in question (the game) or flush your ram.

They do it like this because this way the identification id (key for detection) is not shown to the user in any time, thus it cannot be blacklisted by evenbalance or pbbans. in other words, it stays undetected unless/untill the author screws up with some feature and it's code and the id gets leaked because of this. this results into ban waves, but author makes it undetectable again after fixing the leak and changing the id and updating the end user client (aka trojan horse.)


public: You go to a site such as d3scene, and grab a latest public version of the hack, a typical hack comes in .rar or .zip which you extract to your desktop or some folder, you read the "README.txt", which tells you in bad english to copy paste the .dll and .exe files to your game folder (which results into instant detection after one of it's features is used, assuming that the game would even start), or it asks you to run the .exe directly from the seperate folder.

As you have full access to the .exe and other files, you can open them up with some tools and reserve engineer it or search for the identification id, which you can provide to authors at evenbalance.com and they add it to the master index.

Once you run it, it will probably say something like "Ready to inject" and go to taskbar, which means, that it's now shown as seperate process in your taskmanager. Now once you run the game, the hack will most likely inject onto it from your local folder.

Possible outcomes:

Outcome 1:
You get banned instantly as you join the server. (in the loading screen).

Possible causes:
-Memory scan(The injection code is not encrypted)
-The anticheat notices scans for the game for injections and notices the proccess that is merged to the game.
- Some feature of the hack is poorly coded, or outdated after latest update, which results into leak. (most private hacks has antileaks for situations like this which allows them to work instantly after new game update).
- The hack is outdated and version number dosent match to the version number of the client.(the game)
- The hack id is found at the master index list.

Outcome 2:
You get to the server, but once you enable wrong feature from the hack the outcome is instant ban.

Possible causes:
same as above.

Outcome 3:
You get to the server, but as the hack is listed at master index by someone, which gets you banned once again.

Outcome 4.
The hack is working for now and remains undetected but it can be indexed by any moment which results into ban waves. Once the hack is indexed, the author usually abandoms the project or in some cases: re-makes it from the scratch.

 

nah, i havent used hacks for quite a while, but i follow the their developement and their communities..

to sum it up:

Dont use hacks lol.
