MG Brasil servers now online!

    Good news for the South American fans of MG. We have two new servers live in the center of Brasil right now:

    187.45.180.102:27015 mgftw.com Brasil | Points Reloaded (20 slots).
    187.45.180.103:27015 mgftw.com Brasil | Mixed Modes (20 slots).

    Well, if we use electromagnetic radiation as a source of information transmission (which travels at a speed of close to 300000000 m/s-- the speed of light), it would take a bit/byte of data approximately 73.4120445 +/- 3 minutes to reach Saturn. In in effect, our ping to Saturn would be 8809445.34 milliseconds. In other words, we would have to wait over an hour just for our PC to send a message to Saturn, and then another 73 minutes just to get the OK message.

    Damn, that's one laggy server! :P

    I would like to know if brazilian servers are hosted in Brazil or in other country because ping is a bit too high sometimes.

    The high ping problem continues, though not too laggy. I played a couple of times in order to talk to some of the players and several mentioned they'd rather have a VI server. Not sure if that's a representative survey but thought I'd pass it on. Australian server was running nicely too. :)

    High ping is not caused by the mod. The location is just bad and the hardware is not that good either.

    Ya, didn't mean to imply that it has something to do with the mod. Just reporting that some players preferred VI. :)
