Where Should L4D3 Take Place?

Left 4 Dead 1 took us to the state of Pennsylvania where we fought hordes of zombies at the airport. We smoked smokers in the cornfields of Blood Harvest. We crowned Witches on the pier of Death Toll and battled Tanks on the rooftop of No Mercy Hospital. In the end we had to make The Sacrifice.
Left 4 Dead 2 took us to a different part of the United States, down to the deep south where our latest survivors faced a whole different breed of special infected. This journey began in Savanna, Georgia. We managed to steal a race car from the local shopping mall. We fought our way through burning infernos. We dodged Chargers off of bridges. We stomped through the wetlands of the Louisiana Bayou. We made it through the darkest of carnivals. Some even saved a Gnome!
Where should Left 4 Dead 3 take place? What city should it resemble, or what party of the country? Does it stay on the East Coast and takes us through the Big Apple of New York City, or to Washington, DC and the Pentagon? Maybe L4D 3 goes to the West Coast and we get a glimpse of the zombie infestation in Los Angeles. Perhaps the infection is global and we see the outbreak in another part of the world?


Release Date

The simple truth is L4D3 has not even been announced, let alone a release date. Some time back some prankster created a fake “Gabe Newell” Twitter account claiming Valve was to start work on Left 4 Dead 3 shortly after L4D 2 was released. For those who don’t know, Gabe Newell is the CEO of Valve, the makers of L4D.
When Left 4 Dead 2 was released a year after the first, there was an uproar by some fans because a sequel was announced not even a year after the first L4D was released. So you can imagine how angry some fans were when this Twitter impostor tweeted Valve was working to release L4D3 on November, 17th 2010, one year after L4D2 hit shelves. Some fans believed this announcement, which seemed believable at the time when your emotions get the best of you, and L4D3 boycott groups quickly sprung up on the Steam Community and around the web.
If you are looking for an answer to “When will Left 4 Dead 3 be released?“, well, there is no answer because no date has been announced.

Left 4 Dead 3 hasn't been announced yet because Valve doesn't like the number 3.

It's going to be Left 4 Dead 2 Episode 1

Also if it does come out i hope it's set in the future where survivors gain super powers or something

Some of you may have seen this elsewhere, like on the Steam News and Update or over on the OverKill Forums but it seamed to
fit into this post, so Here it is -

The Only Official Word about a Left4Dead 3 is talk from the Devs (from Overkill!) The makers of the game 'The PayDay: The Hist'.
Very little has been released and that they are in Collaboration with the Devs from Valve to make a Prequel.
Its is said that it will be a cross-over between the two games.

The game will apparently tell how the zombie outbreak first originated in the first place.

is just farming out the L4D game in order to just make money of the fans while they put there main Devs in a new direction?

FYI - Overkill was Software was recently Aquired by Starbreeze Studios!

I wonder if the change in ownership was part of the reason for the collaberation.
