    Good morning everyone.

I got on L4D2 this morning to encounter this problem. All of the objects in the game looks weird. They are either missing parts or have extra parts. I was hoping after a few weeks it would fix itself, but no success. Any idea on what is wrong and what I can do? Thanks :)

It's like that on all maps.

I've seen that in other games.. Your fps in each shot is 20 or less which might be an issue. Does anything else happen? Does it instantly do that AS SOON AS YOU LOAD UP? Are you OC'ing anything?
Hows the airflow in an out of ur pc? Any chance something is overheating?

  6. If verifying game integrity didn't work, you'll need to reinstall L4D2. Go to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

... and delete the "left 4 dead 2" folder. Restart Steam. Go into your game library and hit Download again.

lol, ya. I would classify this as the ALMOST sure-fire fix... Sometimes this is just the easiest route to take *winky*

I reinstalled L4D2 and it is still exactly the same (like the pictures) :\

Maybe something's wrong with your graphic card.. Overheating? Check if it has any new drivers that help the performance, Nvidia usually has those kind of drivers you can download.

Hey mate i'd suggest the following:

    1)Update your graphic card drivers
    2) If on laptop, make sure you are using the dedicated graphic card and not the one integrated with your processor
3)Is this happening on any other games?
4)Lower the graphics to see any changes
5)Run the game in windowed mode
6)Force the game to run for Windows XP sp3
7)IF nothing else works, lets get technichal:

a)Search for verifier.exe on the windows start up menu
    b)Run it
c)Choose "Create custom configuration", it's the second option
    d)Click next
e)"Select drivers from a list", last option, click next.
f)Then, manually select all NVIDIA CORPORATION drivers and click finish.

Reboot your computer. This option will force windows to not tolerate any failures on any nvidia driver, if by any chance your drivers are corrupted or anything you will get an instant BLUE SCREEN crash.

If you want to disable the config, run windows on safe mode and run verifier.exe again. Choose "Remove previos coniguration" and blue screens will stop.

If you actually get any blue screen, it means that one driver is causing problems. Obviously, one related to NVIDIA CORP.
8)Remove your graphic card, clean it up, make sure it is not damaged and that the fan is working correctly and add it again.

    Hope my suggestions work, cheers!

any messages of any kind in the Windows action center? There is a detailed section somewhere in there where you can find driver/program crash info. Even the time of each occurrence is documented.

Could it possibly be an addon I downloaded recently? My graphics card seems to be fine.

    didn't u delete addons when u reinstalled l4d2 recently?

Those screenshots look like textures peeking about... Usually thats something to do with video card, like overheating or driver issue as mentioned earlier. Never seen it in l4d2 tho...

Instead of updating your gfx card drivers, it might be worth a shot rolling them back to an older version. (ie, to before the problem first occured)

had this problem before - card was overheating during summer times, make sure you have enough air flow going into the card or open up the side panel to allow airflow and see if that helps..

It's not the temp :) my house is at always really cold because someone who lives with me has a disease that they overheat really easily, so I always wear a coat.

I did update my computer a bunch recently. I will try to un-upgrade that.
