L4D2 Add-Ons to give your game a professional (or fun) feel

This is a .vpk add-on I really enjoy using, and others have started to use it as well.

I'm after similar files for myself.

This makes your regular pistols silenced; It is a cool, professional, fluid feel.

For those new to add-ons, you will usually want a .vpk file extension; this means you can simply copy/paste the file into a folder, then start L4D2 and have it work.

I'm not a fan of "script"-based mods, or modifying .txt (.cfg) files with lines of modded code or whatever.

This is uninvasive; if you install a .vpk, you can uninstall it by deleting it out of the addons folder. NOTE: To install, you have to unpack or un-RAR or un-ZIP (extract) the .vpk.

I'm personally looking for something to deafen my weapons or make the guns a little less loud; perhaps other silenced weapons.

After extracting, paste ANY ADD-ON FOR L4D2 into this folder:

Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons
It is inside the addons folder where you want the file and any future .vpk.

 

You can disable them via the Extras -> Addons Menu. Just uncheck the one you don't want to have running, you don't have delete it from the folder.

If you have 2 addons that change one item, you need to disable/delete one so they don't conflict.

I just installed the mars attacks common infected. Havent played with them yet. Looked pretty funny.

 

Legal Mods yes Jav. Ilegal mods as aimbots and other such vile things are not allowed. I modded my entire music collection to play different favorite songs such as the CI theme to Disturbed - Down with the sickness. Also different laser colors, character mods and gun mods as displayed above by Erik.
