L4D linux version faster than Windows

    Haha :P so Valve was quite serious about going for Linux instead of windows 8 :P

    Valve had an option of porting all of their games to Linux or updating their Source Engine to modern graphics (so they can compete with the UDK and CryEngine). I still can't fathom they went for the Linux port. Perhaps they have their eyes set on PlayStation 3 and other OpenGL-based consoles, who knows :)

    windows 8 sucks for desktops anyway, at least i will not be using it. They ll be using OpenGL for Linux games I guess. Older Windows games like counterstrike 1.6 already used openGL, and these ran smooth and light.
