Have this already on my facebook profile. There are alot of complaints about the base of Invisible Children about how they spend only a fraction of their money for actual aids and such, but it doesn't change the fact that those children are being abducted. Good job sharing that here davzee.
I think it's a great idea that they are spreading awareness, but the money is just pointless to me. What are the doing with the money? Hiring an army to kill Kony? Obviously their not directly hiring an army to kill kony but in a way their indirectly doing it by spreading awareness and gaining the support of the policymakers thereby allowing US advisors to enter the country and aid the Ugandan army in his capture.... As nova said though their is some debate on where the money is actually being put to good use regarding invisible children, apparently 37% goes directly to African aid while 43% goes to the awareness programs and the remaining 20% goes to salaries and overhead, personally i dont think the bulk of the money should be going to the awareness programs but at the end of the day creating such videos/posters/flyers/bracelets and what ever else isnt cheap....
This KONY 2012 stuff is all just a viral marketing campaign to make money, imo. I also read somewhere that Invisible children use 75% of the donations for upkeep and salaries whilst the other 25% goes to the children. I couldn't help but laugh at these

That was a very one sided video Stoned... There is alot of mystery around what the US funded and "helped" do in the past but the video basically only shows 1 side of the story lol. I liked the word "secretly" in it... and ofc no comment on chaplin's words of wisdom, a classic reference indeed.
