Kick abuse too much.

I have been kicked at least 4 times today and it's all abuse.

First reason.

I got kicked for not going into elevator on dead center. Why didn't i go in? 4 Bots behind me and as you all know bots never go in spit so i figure i go out until the bots go in or get knocked down so that we can start elevator without them. I don't want to lose bunch of hp and get knocked down myself when i can avoid it. Anyways some guy votekicked me instantly even though kicking me isn't going to help the bots go in the elevator through the spit.

Second Reason.

A guy kicks me for switching teams. I just joined the game and i was on spectators, in order for me to play i have to join a team and when i do it says i switched to survivors/infected and people assume emedietly that i'm a switcher, before i can explain myself everyone votes yes instantly, and funny thing is people voted yes before the votekicker said switcher.

Third Reason

I was on survivors the teams were 9vs2, i figure i should change to balance it, a guy kicks me emedietly calling me a switcher.

Fourth Reason

Second reason again.

So yeah it's really annoying getting kicked constantly when you didn't do anything wrong.

I don't know how you can change this but maybe you can let players report those who kick abuse so they get a warning or something and then people will think twice before they votekick someone and ask them why they switched or why they arent going in the elevator etc.

Get to know the admins on the servers you play and alert them to the issues you're having with specific players that may be in the game so that they can monitor the situation. But really, your best solution is to become an MG donor which includes votekick immunity! There's a bunch of other nice features included, so check it out:

For the first reason, everyone needs to be in the elevator for the bots to go in. I know sitting in spit sucks, and you did get votekicked prematurely, but it's understandable.

Can you say who votekicked you the other 3 times?
Perhaps the names are known for people who votekick often.

Also, please understand that, even though you can give us names, we can't directly warn people if we don't know them, but we can observe their behavior in game in order to take future action.

Either way yeah, becoming a donor grants you votekick immunity, provided you can buy it at the store.

In 2 days made me kick 3 times in the campaign for survival (heelms deep) and by the same player

Nah, forget that. With the new Steam Cloud screenshot feature, you can hit f12. You'll hear a camera click type noise, and after you leave the game, you'll see a screenshot manager pop up which allows you to add comments and upload screenshots so they can be viewed via your Team profile. It's very convenient.

 

f you played Helm's Deep Under the name *MoF* (A)(R)(G)77 I was one of the ones that requested votekick on behalf of the rest of the team and here is the reason:

• On More than one occasion while we were fighting in the throne room you went upstairs and ran around/camped there. We have repeatedly told you, either via mic/chat to get down but you ignored us. You were votekicked 2 times for that. Ask Chocobo or Null, or Kayrac or any other admins that were there. I can bring 13 persons to back me up on the reason why
• the last time you have played, which was yesterday afternoon there was an agreement going on that the toasters, mainly the XP ones and points ones will be taken by our 2 low lvl players. One was cookie monster the other one was, i think authentic..not sure. the agreement was posted both in chat and told via mic and all present agreed. Then you came and started farming the toasters WE LEFT FOR COOKIE AND the other guy. Even Bloodhand, My favorite toaster farmer left them just to have you come and pick them up

All i have to say my friend is that your vote kick was approved by 75% of the team. I was the one that carried it out.
and to avoid future things like that, please get a mic/headset, cause the excuse "i did not hear what you said" is soo last season's. And so is "I no speak English". You play on an USA server you need to know english

 

yeah but i must say some ppl ( no names ) really abuse votekick a bit. at that day i got 4 times kicked. first time for killing a tank before he incapp any1, second time cuz i went down to defib ppl ( i risked life to do it ) and picked up toaster there in range, third time it was "mistake" ( yeah u can tell me much things ), 4 time they kicked me because they wanted to start without me. so smoke.. wanna explain?
ask chocobo he was there. and if u say now i stayed back to farm toaster, i was there to defib and i wasnt the only back there. there was 4 more ppl and u just picked me because i got a lvl up toaster earlier than u. not my problem smoke. i just was faster than u so u hated me.

 

No bloodhand, that is not the main reason. let me explain how things are, from a different perspective

• - yeah, you do that often....attack a tank on your own and when he in-caps you, we have to come and rescue. That wasn't me who asked for a votekick
• Problem is that you took the long route: toaster farming and then defib. So, please be honest ad admit it "yeah, i went farming and if i would have survived on my way back I probably would have defibed someone"
• It actually was...we were trying to kick MOF
• yeah...it's my ticket and i use it if and under the conditions i choose. Votekick agreed, Afro agreed, and since you got kicked, the rest of the team agreed with us, that we don't need a toaster farmer that only thinks of himself.

Now...be honest, how many times, you and Kayrac stayed behind at the battlements side entrance waiting for a tank to die and pick up the toaster?. The first time i played Helms deep this week you were always there. ALWAYS. i did not know about that till 2 days after when i was told that tanks die as soon as they get in, as long as we have the gates. I was actually thinking that you were fighting tanks.
Furthermore, how many times you ran upstairs after the Gandalf scene to farm while the rest were fighting tanks, or were in-capped. Why not revive us/defib then? Toaster were obviously more important to you than team-mates.I can count at least 5 time the 2 days i played with you when you ran for toaster instead of helping fallen team-mates

And i will tell you this once and for all, as long as you put the toasters above team-play, neither me, or votekick or another 2-3 players will use our HD tickets until you leave the server. If you remember you came back 30 mins after being kicked the last time and we did not say anything to you, although i should have said something....

I understand your concern that it was your ticket and you wanted to help your 2 buddies out, but you can't prevent people from playing on MG servers. They're public and open to all, and they abide by the community rules and not yours.
I know I haven't seen what you have, but I think you need to take some time to think about some stuff, like never starting an HD map with your friends if you see one or two people you don't like there. That's pretty extreme IMO, and it's not that great for the person you're refusing to play with. I think you made your point with bloodhand and arg77, so there's no need to push further.

It appears to be that you have your reasons, but the others see it under a different perspective. They have a bad image of you and I think you need to fix that image first, instead of adding oil to the fire here...

All in all for everyone, the topic was for the OP who believed he got votekicked unfairly, and it's starting to get out of hand. So please if you want to discuss the votekicks, do so without bashing each other around, or else the topic will need to be closed.

 

I do not want to prevent anybody to play on MG servers,I just wanted to have a fair game, fair as in "One for all and all for one", one where no one has to keep an eye for Bloodhand and his farming. There were other ppl on that server that needed toasters more than Bloodhand or me.

I am sorry if this turned into a 1vs1 with Blood. That was not the intention. I was explaining to ARG why he got kicked if, indeed he was the MOF guy. As for blood, he is the only one to blame for the situation. I am not the only one offended by his behavior. Votekick, Null, Afroassassinx and a few more can subscribe to that list...
