If you have never fought a paranoid tank please read!!!

Time and time again have i noticed players attempting to melee or throw Molotovs at a paranoid tank, IT DOES NOT WORK. Please Please Please don't throw molotovs at a paranoid tank, all it does is drain everyone's health even more!! (the para tank does that well enough with out fire). thank you for your time

Melee does not have any effect, but Molotovs/Fire does have effect. Don't know if it is a bug or not, but tank on fire with wet skin or paranoia can not regenerate health. And since paranoia tank can not buy health, so that is a good thing.

I noticed something odd yesterday on the Blood Harvest finale. We'd completed the wait and the truck had shown up and the tank that spawned was paranoid. Pretty quickly the tank made it's way inside the truck, blocking most people inside. I was dead at this point so I didn't have the best view, but it looked to me like the people inside the truck started meleeing it. The tank died pretty quickly then, a lot faster then I've seen a paranoid die before. It could have been a bugged tank, but maybe paranoid tanks actually take damage from melee?


Just curious what happened, as melee still wouldn't be that great of an idea against a paranoid tank, as that shockwave thing they do is killer.

 

Hit the spacebar when dead (or spawning as SI) to change view. You can watch people in ego perspective (weird, makes me wanna puke). When you hit spacebar 2 times you get a beautifull overiview of zombietown with a free moving camera.

 

i also do not understand why people use melee on a Para tank, alot of people keep saying it everytime a Para spawns, i actually bind a key saying that melee and fire doesnt work on a Para, maybe it's a good idea to set it as a welcome message when you join a server, or have they done that allready ? dont know *-)

maybe fire won't let the para tank regen, but doesn't it run faster? i dunno, i find it harder to run from a para tank when it's on fire.
(might be because sprint is just 8%)
anyone care to enlighten me regarding the matter?

 

Yes it will run faster when it is on fire and yes it out runs you because ur sprint isn't maxed out ..
