Idea to increase play

    How about giving toaster for each game you play.

    example:

    1. A game may have 4 maps, mean a player can earn 4 toaster in 30-40 min
    2. let then store the toaster and also let them gift them to other players.


    What do you think?

    Hmm this is not a bad idea, however I would drop the store idea, preventing that is one thing that still makes PR take long for you to level up as low level beginner. So many highs have a lot of stock on their account willing to give it away, that would not come to the game good.
     
  3. I assume you mean regular toasters.
    In the past i have seen some similar ideas like sharing gems or
    enhancement stones with your guild mates or other players.

    But if you look at MG's history and their point of view,
    you would know this will probably never happen.
    Because all items can be acquired ingame easily they said then.

    Btw special tanks are very common these days so everyone can get gems and
    stones if they join coop servers.
    And we have got so many 210 player with 100% charity, so all new players
    will advance faster than we did. Allthough i have seen some 210 players
    without charity skill, wich is pretty lame i think. Apart from that,
    many lvl 100+ players join guilds with all buffs, so they will gain exp even faster
    Also the december gifts will return,
    and of course helms deep will be back probably.

    hmmm... nice to see this thread.
    Many players have stopped playing after they have hit level 210 and l4d2 is an aging game. It is this class (level 200-210) that can be focused upon. Here are a few ways that can increase the play time on the servers.

    1. MG tried to launch PR 1.3 which had issues. Relaunch it with a dedicated server for PR 1.3 with reduced damages from Fog & other such extreme skills that should only be accessible after level 210 (that should encourage people to level up faster & buy more boosters thus increasing MG's income). You can also make sure that each level up requires about 3-4 million points to level up (that's like almost twice as much as whats needed to level up from 200-201)
    2. This means to open up levels gradually (first stage level 210 to level 215 & second stage level 215 to 220 & then to 220-225)
    3. the hell tank, fire tank, demon tanks or any other supreme tanks etc can be reintroduced on the co-op servers based on the number of high levels available in the co-op servers at that given point of time. They can be made to spawn randomly w/o any need for a root admin in the servers.
    4. the tank battle arena can be reintroduced w/o any level restrictions.
    5. helms deep weekend servers can be reintroduced again w/o any level restrictions.
    6. Introduce more quests in co-op & versus servers.
    7. Things like Guild quests (where all members are required to use the guild tag to make a combined killing points of a few million points or so can be introduced for the guild to level up after guild level 20)

    Do you mean toasters as in Exp, Points etc? I think in order to increase the popularity of the game again and to get more traffic on the servers (short term plan), increase the level cap from 210 to whatever is feasible which can easily be modified from the DB and that should bring the high level players back as it will give them something to play for again and with their 100% charity, it will benefit low level players players more than just a lousy toaster which could be like 10 points or 20 exp which is nothing to be honest.

    You can select any toaster to would like to reward (exp, cash and bounty). It's the idea of a daily or time play reward that I'm driving at.

    just posted this idea because I been playing on another game that give you daily reward to play.

    For sure 225 will make it interesting again :)

    I agree with whos ya daddy
    new levels, skills, upgrades and new tanks is the fundamental solution
    the latest change of increase tank spawn rate is a good example
    I saw people coming back to play coop server
    witch i think it is still boring cause there is too many baby tank
    btw, can it be changed to something like 3 or 4 baby tanks a time instead of just one
    so that human can really feel the fear of death

    2nd things is the safe room door
    people using it to cheat while there is a knight or superme tank or whatever
