how to play with friends with cheats on?

    Title says all. How do you enable cheats and still be able to have friends connecting to you? I believe you would forward some ports, which I did, but it didn't work so I'm guessing I did something wrong. Please tell me how to do this step-by-step. Thanks!

    I don't think you need to forward any ports. Host a 4 player coop and SV_Cheats 1 will enable the cheats.

    this is how i do it in my lan parties

    sv_lan 1
    net_start (- Disables VAC and external features and puts the game into lan)
    allow_lobby_connect_only 0
    map c(x)m(x) < parameter > (- such as community4 for nightmare mutation. Parameter is optional)

    In this situation, you connect to host computer (which is a player too), from other player's computers.. Basically, you manually enter the connection command from all computers. And since VAC authentication is disabled after net_start, non-steam clients can also connect. (However we have all legit games).
