oki..here is my dilemma, and i will use an example

Kayrac got a toaster that gave him almost maxed out sticky goo. The one that slows you down 75% and you need lvl 169 something to get. and guess what? everytime he is a SI he's spitter most of the time. Nothing wrong with that, but I think that ppl that do not have the lvl to use it shouldn't benefit from such an upgrade. If you are level 130 you shouldn't be able to use upgrades that require higher levels than 130.

    just my 2 cents

P.S: nothing against kayrac..just an observation

Then what about those who were high level, then level down because of supreme lottery? They shouldn't be able to use the skills that required that high level any more, which would really suck to play supreme lottery?

    Hmmmm

I have heard from multiple people that you were all for him having this upgrade when you were on his team. But then you or him got switched and all of the sudden you were completely against people having it. :)

These toasters are rare for a reason. Barely anyone gets this toaster, and you have luck if you do. It is perfectly fair if he got it from a toaster.

it is true what he says. people should get a skill when not having that level yet.
if you pick up this upgrade skill toaster it should upgrade a skill below your level which you dont have yet.
or should give 2000 points instead

I don't think it's unfair, I think those people are just lucky.

IMHO, they can have their upgrade if they want, it can be maxed if they want, but it's pretty damn stupid if they can use it at it's full potential... where's the logic in that?

Imagine a lvl 10 picking up the skill toaster and getting some uber OP buff like that spitter goo that stops us from moving. How would people like that?

As much as it's a rare occasion and it's only fair for the person that gets it, I don't find it normal myself. Levels are there for a reason.

I can't help but feel like you are all against someone else having these upgrades. But if most of you were to get that toaster and that upgrade, you would be perfectly fine with having it and would not see a problem with it. I think that just because most of you lose when Kayrac for example is playing, you blame the upgrade when most of the time, the opposing team just needs more teamwork :)

    Just my opinion here.

Well tbh I don't want it and I've never seen this guy before nor have I seen anyone benefit from a skill higher level than the actual player.

It's illogical and just doesn't sound right, hence my example. I wouldn't like anyone getting some OP lvl 200 skill, me included. It kills the purpose of leveling up and actually needing a level to get a certain skill.

It rarely happens so I think it's fine..
A small chance to get a toaster with an even smaller chance to get the upgrade that is above your level..

i rarely post, but hey, why not for this since i'm getting thrown under the bus? :)

@ice, the chance of getting this is literally 1 in a million............(correct me if i'm wrong), the toasters are pre-chosen for what skill/upgrade they will give you, now, these toasters are also quite quite rare.......so i basically got the toaster dropping, with the right upgrade, at the right time where i could pick it up

in addition what i missed before ice......it doesn't just randomly upgrade you to max, you need get 1 lvl of the toasters chosen skill, so if your lvl 10, at lvl 1 skill, you'd have lvl 2 skill. if your at lvl 130 with lvl 8 skill, you'd get lvl 9 skill

anyways my luck aside......from what people have told me, this is how it's always been, tons of people have it happen to them, albeit usually at a lower lvl as not many are at my level

and as noted by choco you were specifically asking others to 'make sure i got a spitter' when you were on my team........you then proceeded to rage about it when you were switched.......also note you waited until after you were on the opposing team to mention that you were going to go get joerve to remove it from me

there is no point to this thread other than to screw me over, and bend the servers to how you believe they should be, and i'm 100% sure if it happened to you, you'd be all for it, especially considering you play vs almost strictly, where i rarely do

smoke, you really need to enjoy playing the game and stop trying to tear everything apart, theres a reason people think of you why they do, and it's not because of them, i've noticed you like to suit stuff to yourself.............i've always liked you when others didn't, but really man?, over something so small and that i rarely play?

anyways enough drama, back to the game :)

I'm not sure if the whole post is for me, or if you even understand the first post Kayrac (have we even met before? lol xD).

It's not about bashing you, as you were just one reference from the OP. It's not personal either, so you don't have to feel targeted or anything either. Or at least as a third person observer, I don't see it that way.

I didn't know that it only upgrades by 1 level, I couldn't really care less anyway, and yes it's been happening for a while, and this topic has been discussed before and it went the same way.
Anyway, I'll give you the same example I gave Chocobo.

If you were playing an MMORPG, and you had a level 80 drop down some unique lvl 80 weapon in front of some random guy, and he got it, and was able to use it because he just could, don't you think that's messed up?

Getting a random toaster is one thing, leveling down from supreme lottery is another, but the result is the same, so why isn't anyone talking about that?
It's the same to me, and again, imho, it doesn't seem normal... I may not have the same point of view as most people perhaps, but it's a dilemma thread, not a drama thread, so no bashing and no accusing, just posting opinions :)

Then again, if people start throwing rocks at each other, the topic will be closed.

nah the whole post was certainly not directed at you, just that small part

and about the throwing rocks, adding 'nothing against you kayrac' doesn't do much when you were in the game when the complaining was going on(pretty sure i didn't see your name), i on the other hand, had to listen to it, as i'm sure did most the others.......believe me theres always more to every story, the question is whether what you know about it is truth or not :)

your MMO theory is actually exactly how it goes, for smaller groups you have 2 sets that are most commonly used.......'master looter', where the leader decides who gets the item and gives it to that person(they have complete control), and another, which just allows everyone a chance to roll either greed or need on a item above a set value........for raiding it's always master looter, and you will literally watch what you want be given to multiple people(1 item each drop) before you usually get your hands on it..........depends who your friends are

ends up being about the same, everyone had the chance to put the time in to get to my lvl, and everyone in the game had the chance to get that toaster......infact every zombie killed has a chance to get that toaster :)

that being said, after being in the game, and smoke specifically telling me he was going to talk to joerve and have him remove the skill from me, is slightly irritating especially after listening to him ingame

anyways with that, my post can actually be removed if you guys deem so, it was more of a vent situation and personal feelings stemmed from what actually caused this thread to be made, and the fact that he tried to be so polite and even throw in a 'no offense'

and with that i'll bow out of the thread, just figured since i was an active topic i'd throw myself into the mix :)

    Discussed.

I really don't think this is going to go anywhere. The first topic on the level requirements on skills that were obtained by people who didn't have the level (anymore) didn't pass, and as much as I agree to this, I doubt things will change...

    Topic closed.
