GREAT MOD . A few suggestions/ideas to help improve it!

    While playing pure VERSUS points reloaded i have noticed the following things that in my opinion would make this great mod just a little bit better.

    1)There are mods already out there that have the capability to "LOCK" the saferoom door for X time. Could you PLEASE get like a door lock going to give cp time to load and stop bots from rushing?

    2) Random skill/point/gem/buffslot loss. I have reported 2 of my biggest losses but it seems like i am always missing a random skill or so that i previously updated.

    3) Gem crafting. It already cost so much to make gems. i am lvl 90 i have 4 gems(2 which i got on the extreamly booring co-op server last night the first time i tried it out). i spent 2000 points trying to make a gem and failed EVERY TIME. I think its cool that a gem cost 500 points but to fail on the craft all the time its like playing a 500 point lottery. I say either make the gem crafting work 100% of the time and up the cost to 1k points or move it to the lottery category. Perhaps even add a "random chance" to get 2 gems. I think its a little sad that i have already done 2 of the double xp/point/bounty packages and the donor package and now if i want to continue upgrading i must "BUY" more in the form of gems? I mean i like the game but i have no fun on the co-op server trying to get gems.

    4) Heat seeking Grenade Launcher(I don't mind so much that it seeks as that its the most advanced heat seeking grenade in the universe. i mean ive seen this thing do a 180 go through a window , through a door and around a corner to kill an infected that just spawned) Could we at least make this item take some skill to use? point it in the right direction at least instead of aiming at the gods and pulling the trigger. If it had limited pitch/yaw it might help a lot so they at least have to fire in the direction of the infected.

    5) M60- The m60 would be a whole lot more useful if it had more ammo/did more damage. It seems to 1 shot the normal infected but takes like 5-10 shots to kill most SI. Seems a little harsh when i only get like 130 ammo and it cost 50 bounty. Can we double the ammo it starts out with or 1/2 its cost? it does not have heat seeking capabilities and cost just as much as the grenade launchers with 1/10th of the effectiveness. I know its a game but i was in the US Army and shot actual m60/m249's and the general "clip size" is a 250 round belt. They also come in 500 round belts as well. The general load for a soldier was a loaded mag and 2x 250 round belts . so 750 rounds. I know again its not real but 250 rounds can be spent in 15 seconds. So for 50 bounty in game and ~130 ammo is blah . please double or even triple the clip size.

    6) Ability to move the menu (can we make this appear on the right side of the screen instead of the left, i spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to move my chat screen in L4D2 and have had no luck)

    7) I thought id give a quick list of skill/upgrade/buff ideas since my L4D2 auto-updated and the servers have not yet and i got time to kill.

    a)skills
    Survivors
    Mini-Nuke- Turns pipe Bombs into a mini Nuke doing its normal damage plus an (anger bomb like) ability that catches everything in X yards on fire.

    Bio-Warfare - Reduces spit damage taken when in-capped(maybe both but might be Over Powered if it works while standing as well) by x% (5-30?)

    SI Vision- X minute CD that shows all spawned Special Infected on the map to the player

    Napalm Air Strike- Call in an air strike for X bounty on the targeted location(maybe gives u a beacon grenade to throw or just calls it on your location).

    Flare - For x bounty you light a flare increasing the brightness of the location you are in by x Lumens(how bright it is) for x seconds.

    Infected

    Earth Quake - Causes an earthquake for x seconds knocking survivors around. (like the co-op server tank shit) (probably best as like 10 bounty or something)

    Sticky Trap - boomer can leave a non-damaging trap that Causes all survivors in X yards to be slowed by X percent for x seconds . Using This ability removes all chances of leaving behind acid when you explode. (slow trap+acid from boomer = wtf pwned so .. i think it makes sense). This affect does not stack with slow effects from spitters.



    b)upgrades One thing i noticed that this game is missing that I think would add a great deal of fun is the ability to really mess with 1 person. Yes you can attack them constantly or what not but you don't have the ability to say man, i wish i could hit this guy just a little bit harder this one time cause i really want him dead.

    The knife is a 1 time per round use. Some of these abilities could follow the same guidelines or perhaps you can even add a HUD element to keep track of ones that might have say a 2 or 3 minute cool down like the boomers bitch slap. It sure would be nice to know when that shits recharged. even a chat message would be nice for now (Your ready to slap some more bitches, bitch) or something :)

    Survivors
    Burst of Glory(1x per round) - For the next x seconds you will run/shoot/reload/malee/wpn swing/ x% faster. You will also take x% less damage and be uncrushable and are IMMUNE to all forms of infected in-caps (tongues,pounces,charges, bitch slaps). I would think this would require an outline on the survivor so the infected know they are using the ability.

    CPR(1x per round) - You attempt to perform CPR giving you x% chance to revive a survivor . takes x seconds. MUST BE USED WITHIN THE FIRST x SECONDS OF THE SURVIVORS DEATH TO WORK.

    infected
    Horde Yell - You spawn X amount of zomies that do X % more damage and focus the last survivor you attacked. (Increases re-spawn timer by x seconds OR 1x use)

    Focused Rage - You select one survivor and for the next x seconds deal x % more damage to that survivor but x% less damage to all other survivors.(Increases re-spawn timer by x seconds OR 1x use)

    (i think this could add some more team play elements as well)

    c)buffs
    Survivors/infected (can have separate buffs for both with dif names same general affects)
    lieutenant- Provides 10% a temp hp bonus to all survivors in x yards
    Commander - provides 10% reduced damage to all survivors in x yards
    General - provides 1 HP per x seconds to all survivors in x yards


    I spent about 30 minutes typing this out and can't really be bothered to proof read it or organize it further as i have some work matters to attend to now. Just remember these are all rough ideas, something to get the juices flowing.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback :) Here are my responses:

    1) We are working on the Door Lock mod. Just I have to debug the extension but I have no time to see why the detour isn't working properly. I'll hopefully have more time this weekend.

    2) We are working on a fix for lost stats by optimizing the system and engine.

    3) Honor can answer this. But you can always try our store for easy gems.

    4) Honor can answer this too.

    5) We are open to ideas. Someone else can answer this :)

    6) This is impossible to do. The game has specific VGUI panels, and it is impossible to create more panels on the user's computer via a server-side command. We're unfortunately limited to the left hand side.

    7) These are some nice ideas :) We wish we could add HUD elements, but it's impossible without having the user install a mod on their computer adding more VGUI panels to the client system.

    <integer> Draw the background of the object or not. Default: -1, no action will be taken Valid range: 0, 1 0 will call SetPaintBackgroundEnabled( false ); 1 will call SetPaintBackgroundEnabled( true );Seems this might help block out the chat overlaying with the menu.
