I use Avast!, Ad-Aware, and Spybot Search and Destroy. Never bad to have more than one.

I have one friend who has no antivirus, firewall or spyware protection because he belives that those "protection" companies send the viruses to your computer and finds it itself to manipulate your mind to think that it's a good software package coz u'd think it finds all of the viruses/spywares in your computer :yo:

If you're on a Win 7 machine, use MS Security Essentials. It's damn good and totally unobstrusive.

I would go with Spybot S&D or Malwarebytes paid version

    Definitely Malwarebytes.
Eraser from Darknet is pretty good too.

In my experience Norton is the worst rescource hog. I liked Spybot when I had it but with Win7 Security Essentials I don't ned it anymore.

If i remember correctly, it was proven that norton sends you virus' - so it appears to be doing it's job when it blocks them.
Nevertheless, it uses so much memory just to keep it open that it's not worth it.

Seems to be working fine for me.
I haven't had any problems with it at all.
I use it in combination with Tsunami's antivirus.
I run malwarebytes every month or so, and it hasn't caught anything that Norton let by.
    Norton is worth the price:P

I personally don't fancy norton because it's expensive, not the best in the market and most importantly, slows your pc down

Malwarebytes and Avira togther has kept me from having anything bad happen to this computer. My old old computer had Norten and well its dead now lool. My other had trend micro on it but it was paid and worked well.
