Getting Past Dteam Being Blocked?

    Hello all,

    I recently got a new laptop and put L4D2 on it. When I got to my school, I connected to the school wifi to find that I can't connect to steam, but I can still do everything that. I am assuming that it is blocked, so my question is, is there any way to get past that so I can get on steam?

    Hack your school network... That should work...

    Maybe there is a firewall or proxy blocking steam client ports

    I had a similar problem in my University earlier this year when i tried playing l4d2 on my Uni computers to see how many FPS would i get on those machines so i copied steam folder to my external harddrive and tried starting steam but it wouldn't let me so i tried it on my laptop at uni via wireless and it worked but since u tried it via wireless and it still blocked you then maybe they r blocking any connection to steam in your college.
